또한 록펠러 의학연구소에서 실시한 또 다른 연구에 의하면 노화나 질병으로 사망한 사람과 사고로 사망한 사람의 혈액을 각각 채취하여 분석해 보았을 때 노화나 질병으로 사망한 경우는 혈액에 노폐물이 가득 차 썩어 있었으며, 반면에 사고로 사망한 경우에는 피가 깨끗했다고 한다. 이 연구에서 알 수 있는 것은 노화나 질병 그 자체가 사망의 원인이 아니라 인간은 혈액의 부패를 통해 사망에 이르게 된다는 것이다. 만약 더러운 장 속에서 발생하는 산성부패가스 등의 유해요소를 사전에 제거하고 이러한 가스의 주요 발생 원인인 숙변을 제거할 수 있다면 생명연장의 꿈을 이룩할 수 있다는 것이 오 회장이 주목해온 점이었다.

19대 대선 ‘기호 7번 경제대통령’으로 출마해

한편 오 회장은 지난 5월 실시된 제19대 대통령선거에 기호 7번으로 출마하여 대중들에게 널리 이름을 알리기도 했다. ‘경제대통령’이라는 이름을 달고 출마했던 오 회장은 기업인으로서 대한민국의 경제를 부흥시키고자 하는 여러 가지 획기적인 공약들을 발표하기도 했다. 대한민국을 세계 1위의 경제대국으로 만들기 위해 오 회장은 ‘신용불량자 전원 회복’, ‘흉악범을 제외한 범법자들을 수감형에서 벌금형으로 전환’하는 등의 대책을 통해 대한민국의 재원을 마련하고 국익이 될 수 있는 다양한 사업을 펼쳐가고자 한 것이다.
오 회장은 “세계 제1의 대국인 미국에서 트럼프 대통령이 당선된 것처럼 세계적으로 경영인이 국가를 올바르게 다스릴 수 있다는 생각이 호응을 얻고 있는 것이다”라고 이야기했다. 그래서 오 회장은 이번 대선 TV토론회에 백의민족을 상징하는 하얀 양복을 입고 나가 시청자들의 주목을 끌기도 했다. 그러나 선거에 참여하면서 겪게 된 현실은 예상보다 훨씬 불합리했다. 그는 “대권주자로 나서기 위해서는 3억 원의 기탁금이 필요하다. 거기에 공보물이나 인쇄물, 벽보, 유세비용, 인건비 등을 모두 합하면 27억 원 정도의 큰 자금이 동원된다. 그러나 TV토론회에 나가면서부터 군소후보에게는 1인당 10분 정도의 발언시간이 배정되는 것을 보고 아쉬움을 많이 느꼈다”고 한다.
그래서 오 회장은 이번 선거를 공부하는 기회로 삼고, 자신을 신뢰해준 많은 사람들에게 보답하기 위해 더욱 열심히 회사를 경영할 뜻을 밝히기도 했다. 오 회장은 세계평화기구인 맥재단(General MacArthur)에서 부회장을 맡아 리더십을 발휘하고 있기도 하다. 6.25 전쟁 당시 인천상륙작전과 서울수복 등을 통해 한반도에 평화를 가져다 준 맥아더 장군처럼 오 회장 역시 대한민국의 건강과 행복을 위해 노력해온 만큼 전세계 지구촌마다 그의 행로에 평화가 깃들 것이라 예상해 본다.

As a result, I developed products that can clean the large intestine and obtained patents for original technologies. Dr. Alexis Carrel of the Rockefeller Institute of Medical Research succeeded separating heart tissue of the liver of a chicken for culturing; chicken is one of the animals that have a short lifespan. Another research of the Rockefeller Institute of Medical Research revealed that the blood of those who died by aging had full of waste while the blood of those who died by accident was clean. It means that aging or diseases are not the causes of death but when blood goes bad. Oh thought that his dream of extending lifespan could be achieved by removing harmful substances such as bad acidic gas and the fecal impaction.

Challenging the 19th presidential election

Oh ran for the 19th presidential election as the number 7 candidate last May under the slogan ‘economic president’. He brought up a number of pledges that can revive Korean economy with the greater goal to make Korea as the No.1 economic powerhouse in the world. He promised to recover credit of delinquent borrowers and reduced the punishment of offenders to fines instead of imprisonment. 

“Many politicians came from legal circles. I think that the age of ruling a nation by legal professions and politicians has gone. Like Trump won the presidential election, businessmen are receiving more positive attention to rule a nation nowadays.” 

Oh attracted attention at a TV debate by wearing white suite which he meat it as a symbol of Korean people, the white-clad folk. But he found the election campaign more irrational than he thought. “You have to donate 300 million won ($265,000) to run a presidential election not to mention the petty costs like posters, campaigns and labor cost totaling about 2.7 billion won. But only about 10 minutes were allocated to the minor candidates each at the TV debate and it was really regretful.” However, he gathered his strength again and showed his firm will to keep working hard on his business. 

Meanwhile, Oh is serving as the vice chairman of the General MacArthur (foundation), a global peace organization. MacArthur brought peace to the Korean Peninsula thanks to his military tactics such as the Incheon Landing and the Second Battle of Seoul. Passing down his spirit, Oh also is working hard to bring health and happiness to more Koreans.
