Have an ultimate resting experience at Eco Green Town
CEO Jeon Gap-seung of Eco Green Town

Eco Green Town boasts Korea’s largest total recreational facilities in nature

According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, 92% Korean people are living in cities. It means that 47 million people are living on the 17% land. This is one of the reasons that Korea’s tourism industry has seen a surprising development as people are eager to enjoy their vacation on the rest 82% land.

Among many holiday destinations and resorts, Eco Green Town is attracting a great attention at the moment for an agreeable distance of around 30 minute drive from Seoul and also for the charm of the log pensions surrounded by a stream, pond, pavilion and trees of a forest not to mention the various convenient and recreational facilities.

Located in Yangji-myeon, Cheoin District, Yongin City on a 8,264 square meter land, Eco Green Town boast Korea’s largest total recreational facilities that can accommodate up to 400 people a day in 12 large rooms and 10 small rooms. It is a 5 minute distance from Yanggi Tollgate and Everland, Korean Folk Village and Yangji Pine Resort, Jirisan Resort and Hantaek Botanical Garden are nearby.

All pensions of Eco Green Town are made of more than 100 year old logs and all other materials are eco-friendly and absolutely no harmful to our body. The interior is applied with ‘sgi wood’ that releases phytoncide and ‘hinoki’ – Japanese cypress – bath is waiting for you to soak your body in. You can also enjoy a barbeque on the terrace of your room at night.

“I used to run a car repair center in Gangnam District, Seoul. And I came to know that more and more people wanted to take a rest out of the city. So it gave me an idea to run the current pension in nature. When building the pension, I focused on ‘comfort’ and ‘resting’ so that people can recharge their energy before going back to busy cities” says CEO Jeon.

“Make your unforgettable memory at Eco Green Town”

Jeon opened Eco Green Town in 1996. He paid careful attention to what guests really wanted and reflected their opinions and needs in the improvement. Building Eoul Orum (a hall) is a good example to respond to customer demands for a big space for a workshop. It is about 330 square meter big and can accommodate up to 200 people. It also has a seminar room and home theater equipment is ready to be used. Foot tennis ground, basketball court, karaoke, outdoor stage and children’s playground are also facilitated.

Jeon’ years of effort in improvement has brought him the grand prize at a pension rating carried out by an organization in 2011 and CEO Jeon also listed his name in the New Intellectuals in the pension category the same year. And this was well proved that the revisit rate to Eco Green Town reached to 40% while other pensions normally stay around up to 20%. Also, Eco Green Town has been used as a site for dramas and show programs more than 50 times.

To keep the momentum, CEO Jeon opened ‘café The de ULLIM’ in the botanical garden last April and is offering special discount vouchers that can be used at nearby leisure facilities.
