사드(THAAD, 고고도미사일방어체계) 배치 문제와 한․미 FTA 개정 협상, 북핵 문제 등 다양한 이슈에도 불구하고 국내 수출은 7개월 째 두 자릿수 증가세를 보이며 연일 호조를 보이고 있다. 이러한 가운데 수출 효자 품목으로 손꼽히고 있는 것은 지난해보다 200% 넘게 증가한 선박과 수출을 시작한 이후 사상 두 번째로 높은 수출 실적을 보이고 있는 반도체 분야다. 특히 국내 연구․개발진의 뛰어난 기술력으로 한국산 반도체가 최첨단 기술의 총집약체로서 해외에서도 큰 호응을 얻고 있다. 이러한 가운데 ‘작지만 강한 강소기업’의 능력을 널리 선보이고 있는 마이크로웍스코리아(주)가 주목받고 있다.

마이크로웍스코리아(주)는 현재 GE, SIEMENS, 현대자동차, 쉐보레, LS산전, 삼성에스원 등 유수의 업체들과 파트너십을 체결하고 반도체 부품을 공급하고 있다. 안철 대표는 “저희는 전세계 해외 대리점 및 지사를 통한 구매 방식으로 국내 대리점과 경쟁하고 있습니다. 특히 생산년도 2년 내의 제품만 공급하여 협력사와의 신뢰를 쌓았고 전세계 25,000여 곳 이상의 해외 협력 회사와 지속적인 정보 교류 및 물류 지원 역시 아끼지 않고 있습니다”라고 밝혔다.
이들의 영업 방식은 국내, 해외, 대리점권 관리, 해외 소싱 스탁 등 다양한 분야에서 획기적인 실적으로 뚜렷하게 나타난다. 국내․해외 가격 동향을 신속하게 파악하여 Weekly Memory Offer를 발행하는 한편, 긴급자재 Stock Sourcing과 함께 단종 되었거나 국내 대리점이 없는 자재 소싱에도 특별한 장점을 갖고 있다. 이는 회사가 갖추고 있는 동종업계 20년 이상의 인적 자원을 통해 이루어낼 수 있는 성과였다.
또한 회사는 향후 4차산업 트렌드에 맞는 반도체 아이템 발굴과 개발로 국내뿐만이 아닌 해외제조사를 공략하여 성장할 예정이다. 안 대표는 ‘사람이 답이다’라는 모토 아래 모든 일들이 사람으로부터 나오고 사람이 만들어가기 때문에 사람이 중요하다고 강조한다. 옷깃만 스쳐도 인연인 관계로 만들어 가기는 힘들지만 만남 하나에 소중함을 기억하고 서로가 좋은 방향으로 삶을 살아가는 것이 그의 목표다. 그는 “해외 유수의 업체들과 지속적인 업무 관계를 갖기 위해서는 신속한 업무 처리와 신뢰할 수 있는 프로그램이 필수적입니다. 이에 해외 벤더를 엄격히 검증하고 구매내역과 사진 검증자료 등의 증빙 가능한 데이터베이스를 구축한 것이 신뢰를 쌓아온 비결입니다”라고 강조했다.

‘2017 대한민국 미래경영대상’ 반도체 수출 대상 수상해
“수출이 강한 기업으로 성장하기 위해 노력할 것”
이러한 성과를 통해 마이크로웍스코리아(주)는 지난달 1일 백범김구기념관에서 개최된 '2017 국가보훈평화공헌대상' 시상식에서 글로벌경영혁신 부문 대상을 수상했고, 25일 서울 프레스센터에서 열린 ‘2017 대한민국 미래경영대상’에서도 ‘반도체 수출’ 부문 대상을 수상했다. 이번 ‘2017 대한민국 미래경영대상’ 시상식은 건전한 미래가치를 창출하는 기업/기관/인물 등을 조명하기 위해 제정된 시상식으로, 서울시 중구․영등포구, 경기도 남양주시․의왕시, 전라남도 보성군 등 40여 개 기업/기관 등이 수상의 영예를 안았다. 특히 마이크로웍스코리아(주)는 반도체 수출 브랜드로서 유일하게 이번 시상식에 선정되었기에 그 의미가 더욱 크다.

Microworks Korea was established in 2007 and has grown to be a small but strong company supplying electronic component semiconductor. The business covers from functioning as an official agency to import, export and distribution. The company trades with 3,000 semiconductor agencies in the world and supplies the goods to renowned Korean companies in competitive price. 

The employees of Microworks Korea boast 20 years of knowhow in the field and they are specializing overseas out sourcing and providing customized technology support to secure global clients. And the 15 long term employees of Microworks Korea has been the driving force for steady yearly sales growth of the company. 

The company opened a branch office in Taiwan in 2007 and has spurred export volume. The next year in 2008, Microworks Korea was registered as a member of Global Sourcing Distributor by ERAI (US) and is providing up to date information on global semiconductor markets in speed. Having recognized as a promising semiconductor supplier, Microworks Korea turned the business as a corporation in 2010 and obtained a MAINBIZ certificate and an ISO9001 (quality management system) certificate.

Microworks Korea is working in partnership with GE, SIEMENS, Hyundai Motor, Chevrolet, LSIS and Samsung S1. 

“We compete with Korean counterparts through buying goods from overseas agencies and offices. But we only supply the goods produced within 2 years to secure client trust and actively communicate with more than 25,000 partners in the world” explains Ahn.

Microworks Korea has shown a great performance in agency management home and abroad as well as Stock Sourcing. The company analyzes faster the Weekly Memory Offer (market price analysis) and the Stock Sourcing (finding discontinued products) backed up by the company’s 20 years of securing the excellent manpower.

‘People are the answer’ is Ahn’s business motto. He thinks that all works are made from people and completed by people. 

“Faster work process and trustable system is the key to maintain the partnership with renowned global companies. So we screen overseas venders with strict standards and build the data including photos as proof. This is the secret that we could be able to build our client trust.”

In recognition of its achievements, Microworks Korea received the 2017 Veterans and Peace Contribution Awards held at the Kim Koo Museum & Library on 1 July this year in the category of global innovation and also the 2017 Korea Future Management Awards held at the Korea Press Foundation on 25 the same month in the category of semiconductor export. 

The latter awards in particular aim at finding top performers in future-oriented management and the 40 winner companies and organizations this year included Jung District and Yeongdeungpo District of Seoul, Namyangju City, Uiwang City and Boseong County. Microwork Korea, on the other hand, is the sole semiconductor export company of the awards this year. 

With the demand for direct purchase ever increasing, Microworks Korea runs an online B2B and an export teams to grow the business to medicine, 3D, mobile, cars and robot.
