Those who have had a chance to drop by Paldang Dam might surely have heard or tried the very famous spicy fish stew of Paldang Riverside Restaurant. Those who have not, drive your car towards Misari along the Olympic Expressway and cross the Paldang Bridge, pass Paldang Station and turn right towards Yangpyeong and follow the old road to Paldang Dam. On your right hand side, there the famous restaurant is. Or you might take the Outer Ring Road towards Topyeong IC and Gangbyeon Expressway and take the National Expressway No.6 towards Yangpyeong and drive about 10 minutes more to take the old road. The owner couple of the restaurant Kim Jang-jae (60) and Lee Hyo-soon (58) have been running the business for 50 years. It is a family business that has passed down to two to three generations. Once flourished with larges numbers of spicy fish stew, the former glory in the area is now shared by only Paldang Riverside Restaurant and another one. Kim was born and grew up here so everybody in the region knows him very well. In addition to its undeniable taste of spicy fish stew and grilled eel and steamed carp, you can have a fantastic view around. 10 minute distance from the restaurant, you can meet with the birthplace of Dasan Jeong Yak-yong and the temple Sujongsa in the Yebong Mountain.

Paldang Riverside Restaurant is a 495 square meter two story building. It accommodates up to 100 diners at once. From spicy fish stew, steam carp, raw trout, flatfish and rockfish, diners are given privilege to enjoy a variety of menus while awe-inspired scenery surrounded by the restaurant captivate their heart. All menus are thoroughly prepared and cooked with the freshest ingredients available and excellent customer services make diners almost crying over experiencing such a warm and respectable reception.
