글로벌 리딩 슈즈기업으로 도약하고 있는 노이타보니(NOITAVONNI_대표 박정숙)가 지난 11월 2일, 서울 The K 호텔 2층 그랜드볼룸에서 ‘노이타 디자인 품평회 및 사업설명회’를 개최했다. 이 날 품평회는 KMK글로벌스포츠그룹 최고경영자인 송창근 회장을 비롯하여 한강홀딩스 정종채 회장, 애플라인드 김윤수 대표, 풋락커(윙스풋코리아) 김영천 대표가 함께 자리에 참석해 자리를 빛냈다. 또한, 슈퍼파워워킹 스프링슈즈의 본격적인 출발을 눈앞에서 지켜보길 원하는 700여명의 대외인사들과 다양한 분야의 셀러브리티들이 참석하는 등 시종일관 뜨거운 열기의 품평 현장이었다.

디지털 유통 및 사회기부 활동 실천해나갈 것 
노이타 디자인 품평회의 축사를 맡은 KMK글로벌스포츠그룹 송창근 회장은 “해가 거듭할수록 이른바 ‘여성시대’로 일컬어질 만큼 패션과 기능에 있어 탁월한 선택을 자랑하는 여성들이 점점 시장을 장악하는 추세에, 노이타의 전략은 곧 새로운 트렌드가 될 것입니다”라며 가치의 순환 시스템으로 고객에게 브랜드 가치를 그만큼 되돌려줄 수 있는 겸손한 브랜드가 되기를 원한다고 밝혔다. 또한, 노이타보니의 슈퍼파워워킹 스프링슈즈가 대중들에게 건강한 슈즈로 불리는 만큼, 장차 노이타가 인류의 건강에 기여할 수 있는 세계적인 브랜드가 되기를 바란다고 덧붙였다. 

연이어, 뜨거운 박수를 받으며 무대에 등장한 노이타보니 박정숙 대표는 그간 스프링슈즈 최초개발자인 권동혁 개발자와 수년간 눈물과 인내를 거쳐 이 자리에 오르게 된 것만으로도 감회가 각별하다며 스프링슈즈를 키워드로 새로운 놀이문화 추구 및 디지털 유통, 나눔을 실천하는 사회기부 활동 등 갖가지 요소들을 종합한 글로벌 브랜드 가치를 제대로 키워나갈 것임을 공고히 했다. 특히, 혁신적인 기술을 필두로, ‘첨단 Iot기술과 신발의 만남’으로 주목을 받은 스프링슈즈는 몸의 밸런스를 그때그때 체크하여 운동량까지 측정해주는 기술을 도입시켜 화제를 모았다. 

2018년까지 약 300여개의 노이타 대리점 오픈예정
박정숙 대표는 내년 3월, 노이타의 첫 번째 안테나샵 설치를 시작으로 2018년까지 약 300여개의 대리점을 오픈할 예정임을 밝히며 탄탄한 시스템 지원을 위한 모든 프로그램, 매뉴얼 구축까지 준비가 완료되었다고 전했다. 이미 브랜드 론칭 이전부터 60여명의 슈즈전문가들이 대리점 오픈을 위한 예약을 마칠 정도로 브랜드 인식에 대한 반응이 좋은 상황이다. 한편, 내년을 시작으로 브랜드 노이타(NOITA)의 탄생을 알리는 대대적인 마케팅을 예고한 노이타보니 관계자는 “내년 상반기 대리점오픈 및 몇 차례의 쇼케이스에 이어, 하반기에 계획된 텐텐데이(가제)에 스프링슈즈를 통하여 국내뿐만 아니라 전 세계가 함께 걸을 수 있는 워킹 컬쳐 시대를 열어가겠다”고 밝혔다.

권동혁 개발자가 스프링슈즈를 연구하게 된 배경에는 그의 어머니가 있었다. 잘못된 보행습관으로 무릎관절과 허리가 불편했던 어머니를 위해 권동혁 개발자는 오로지 스프링슈즈 연구에만 꼬박 3년을 매달렸다. 연구 끝에 개발에 성공한 스프링슈즈는 참신한 아이디어라는 주위의 평가와 함께 폭발적인 주목을 받았으나 막상 어머니가 신기에는 힘들고 불편한 신발이었다. 또한, 밑창에 스프링 3개가 달린 초창기 제품은 흡사 ‘스카이 콩콩’을 연상케 하며 흥미를 높였지만 시판에 실패하며 결과적으로 미완성에 그치게 됐다. 그러나 완성품을 출시하겠다는 권동혁 개발자의 의지는 강했고 14년의 연구 기간 동안 수많은 실패를 거듭하면서도 포기하지 않은 끝에 브랜드 노이타(NOITA)를 내놓기에 이르렀다.

“모두가 인지하고 있다시피, 스프링은 우리의 일상생활 속에서 쉽게 만날 수 있습니다. 스프링의 탄성과 보관력은 현대인들에게 놀라운 변화를 가져다주었고 특히 자동차, 침대와 같은 사례를 보았을 때, 스프링의 역할은 제법 컸다고도 볼 수 있을 것입니다. 그 스프링을 응용하여 결과적으로 지금껏 만나보지 못했던 새로운 스프링슈즈가 탄생하게 된 셈이죠.” 

슈퍼파워워킹 스프링슈즈는 밸런스 모듈레이션의 원리를 적용, 파워워킹의 충격을 흡수하고 에너지를 분산시킴으로써 최적의 컨디션을 이끌며 스프링의 탄력성과 메커니즘을 통해 걸었을 때, 더 많은 칼로리를 소비하는 등 근육사용을 최대화 하게끔 디자인되어 있다. 또한, 슈즈에 부착된 스프링은 언제든지 교체가 가능하도록 설계되어 있어 아웃솔(outsole)마모 시, 스프링 교체로 하여금 반영구적인 슈즈 보관이 가능하다. 

“기자님도 아시다시피 스프링슈즈는 2002년, 스카이 콩콩과 인라인스케이트를 결합한 엉뚱한 상상으로 시작이 되었고 지속적인 연구 끝에 워킹에 최적화된 슈즈 브랜드를 내놓게 되었습니다. 노이타가 개발한 달팽이 모양의 스프링은 더 큰 탄성을 적용하여 우리가 일반 신발을 신었을 때보다 세 배 이상의 칼로리를 소모시킵니다. 또한, 완충스프링의 원리를 적용, 힘을 받으면 힘에 따른 만큼 변형을 하게 되고 그 힘을 탄성에너지로 흡수 측정하여 충격을 완화시킴으로써 신체밸런스 교정에 탁월한 효과를 발휘하게 되는 것입니다.”

노이타보니 2차 사업설명회가 연이어 양재동 본사에서 개최된 가운데, 전 피겨스케이터 선수 김연아의 재활을 도왔던 노건우 소장(현 성모척관병원 스포츠재활연구소)이 노이타 교육 시스템 과정에 전격 합류하기로 하여 귀추가 주목되었다.

전 SBS, KBS스포츠 데이터 분석가이자 백차승, 강정호, 이택근, 황재균의 재활을 도왔던 노건우 소장은 5년 전부터 교정전문 트레이너로서 노이타와 인연을 맺어왔다. 올 가을을 기점으로 (전문가로서)노이타의 교육시스템에 합류하는 그는 내년 1월, 충주에 위치한 연수원에서 계획된 노이타보니 대리점 교육캠프에서 발의 건강부터 스프링슈즈의 구성 및 효과에 대한 기본적인 교육을 맡을 예정이다. 또한, 노 소장은 "매장에서 직접 만나볼 수 있는 '홍보시스템'을 키워드로 대중들이 스프링슈즈에 대하여 좀 더 쉽게 알고 접근할 수 있도록, SNS마케팅 및 바이럴 콘텐츠들을 집중적으로 소개할 예정이며 오늘 이 자리에 참석한 예비 대리점주들이 빠르게 글로벌 브랜드 노이타에 녹아들 수 있게끔 적극 돕겠다"라고 소감을 밝혔다. 특히, 노이타보니의 박정숙 대표는 오랜 기간, 끈기있게 해나가야 하는 '신발산업'이 결코 쉬운 것은 아님을 이야기하며 브랜드 노이타는 차분히 대리점 50곳, 100곳과 같은 형태로 늘려가며 중장기적으로 역량 있게 키워나갈 예정임을 공고히 했다. 서두에 말했듯, 노이타의 대리점 개설 목표치는 2018년까지 약 300여 곳이다. 또한, 전량 한국에서 생산이 되는 S1이외에 S-air와 컨버스는 인도네시아에서 직접 지원을 받는 만큼 든든한 파트너들의 서포트 하에 '우리'가 주인이 될 수 있는 사업을 이끌어 나갈 것이라고 말했다. (이미 S-air의 디자인과 생산은 KMK글로벌 스포츠 그룹, 노이타 워킹웨어는 애플라인드의 전폭적인 지원을 받고 있는 상황이다.)

끝으로 박 대표는 2017년 내년부터 대대적인 바이럴 마케팅을 통해, 전 세계 네트워크 구축을 더욱 돈독히 할 것이라고 밝히며 노이타 만의 준비된 마케팅으로 대리점주들을 더욱 만족시킬 것이라고 말했다. 앞으로 노이타의 슈퍼파워워킹 스프링슈즈는 드라마 PPL 및 온라인 SNS 경로를 활용하여 보다 대중들에게 친숙한 이미지로 다가갈 것으로 보인다.

Taking a great leap forward as a global shoes company, NOITAVONNI (CEO Park Jeong-sook) successfully held a design showcase and business presentation on 2 last month at The K Hotel Seoul. KMK CEO Song Chang-geun, Hangang Holdings CEO Jung Jong-chae, applerind CEO Kim Yun-su and Wing’s Foot Korea CEO Kim Young-chun graced the occasion with their presence on the day among 700 renowned industrial officials and celebrities who wished to witness the advent of super power walking spring shoes.

“In the age that more and more women are showing off their fashion sense and style today, NOITA’s marketing strategies will lead a new trend. I hope the NOITA’s value recycling system will give back its brand value to consumers and its super power walking spring shoes, known as health shoes by many, will also contribute to the health of mankind as a global brand” said KMK CEO Song in his congratulatory speech. NOITAVONNI CEO Park in response said that the developer Gwon Dong-hyeok and she were where they were today after many years of tears and patience and she felt really overwhelmed, adding that, the spring shoes would bring a new type of recreation and the company would grow into a global company through social contribution activities. The spring shoes took the center stage of the industry with its loaded cutting edge IoT technology that can check the balance of the body time to time and to measure the amount of exercise. 
Opening 300 stores by 2018
Opening the first antenna shop of NOITA next March, CEO Park announced that the company had readied all the necessary support programs and manuals to open 300 stores by 2018. The brand received a great response even before launching of the brand and 60 shoes specialists already have signed a contract to run a branch store. With its impending large scale marketing next year, an official of NOITA said “We will open several branch stores and show cases early next year and ‘Ten Ten Day (tentative)’, which will display spring shoes, in the latter half of the year to spread a new walking culture to the world.” 

Application of Balance Modulation Principle 
The elasticity and mechanism of spring shoes consume more calories 
Gwon, the developer of the shoes, initially designed the shoes for his mother, who suffered from pains in knees and waist caused by wrong walking posture, before spending 3 years of intensive research on the shoes. The shoes at first received an explosive response but it was inconvenient for his mother to actually wear and walk. Also, although the three springs on the shoes attracted attention with its pogo stick-like look but eventually failed in commercialization. Undaunted by this, Gwon spent the next 14 years in R&D and eventually introduced the current brand through numerous failures and mistakes. “You can easily see springs in our daily life. The elasticity and mechanism of spring has brought us many surprising changes especially to vehicles and beds. But I rather applied its benefits to shoes and thus born is the spring shoes” said Gwon. The spring shoes are loaded with Balance Modulation Principle that absorbs a shock and draws the ultimate condition by dispersing energy. They are also designed to maximize muscle movements and their elasticity and mechanism also consume more calories. The spring on the shoes can be replaced when the soles are worn out which means that we can wear the shoes semi-permanent. “I borrowed the idea from pogo stick and inline skates in 2002 for the shoes with which I completed the current spring shoes. The snail-like spring on the shoes is applied with stronger elasticity and it consumes triple times more calories than normal shoes. Also, the buffer spring principle responses according to the level of strength it gets and absorbs it as elastic energy to ease the shock and to give right body balance” said Gwon. Another advantage of the spring shoes is muscle strength; the returned energy from the spring disperses body energy which increases the movement of rarely used muscles in the body. Using a wearable device that can check the amount of exercise with the spring shoes is an additional pleasure.  

Correction specialist Noh Gun-wu joins the team
“With support of partner companies, I will lead the business where ‘we’ become the owners”
The second business presentation was held at the head office in Yangjae-dong, Seoul and Noh Gun-wu, the director of Sports Rehabilitation Institute of St. Mary’s Spine & Joint Hospital, who once helped rehabilitation of Kim Yuna, joined the NOITA’s training system course. Noh also is a SBS and KBS sports data analyst and helped rehabilitation of Beak Cha-seung, Kang Jung-ho, Lee Taek-geun and Hwang Jae-gyun. Noh has worked as a correction specialist for NOITA for 5 years and recently joined the NOITA’s training system course. He is scheduled to give a lecture on foot health, composition of spring shoes and their effect at the branch store training camp next January in Chungju. “With ‘store marketing system’ as the keyword, I will focus on SNS marketing and viral contents in my lecture so that the soon-to-be store owners can effectively sell the spring shoes” said Noh. With its goal to open 300 stores by 2018, the model S1 is made in Korea while S-air and Converse with the support from Indonesia. NOITA CEO Park said that she would lead the business where ‘we’ become the owners with the support of partner companies. (Currently, the design and production of S-air is supported by KMK Global Sports Group and the NOITA Walking Wear by applerind.) CEO Park said that she would use viral marketing to the fullest from next year in order to build a global network. NOITA’s super power walking spring shoes, therefore, are expected to make its presence one step closer to consumers through PPL and SNS.
