창녕군, 모두가 따뜻한 겨울나기 준비 나서
창녕군 김충식 군수는 지난 달 29일 군민들의 따뜻하고 안락한 겨울나기를 위해 내년 2월까지 「동절기 종합대책」을 추진한다고 밝혔다. 동절기에 발생하기 쉬운 각종 안전사고 및 재해 예방, 주민생활 안정과 어려운 이웃 지원 등 3개 분야 12개 항목을 중심으로 종합대책을 수립하여 본격적인 겨울맞이에 나선다. 겨울철 산불, 눈피해, 동해 등 자연 재해 및 재난에 대비한 사전대응체계 구축 및 가스·전기 등 주요시설물의 안전점검을 실시하고 구제역 및 AI 등 전염병의 유입을 차단하기 위한 방역반을 편성, 운영 중에 있다. 특히 동절기에 많은 어려움을 겪는 취약계층을 대상으로 각종 복지서비스연계 및 지원 사항을 다양한 방법으로 홍보하고 희망나눔 캠페인 등 후원금품의 연계·지원을 추진하여 훈훈한 나눔 분위기 조성에 힘쓰고 있다. 아울러 군은 동절기 기간에 유용한 각종 안전수칙 및 건강·생활 관련 정보가 담긴「동절기 주민종합안내사항」을 주민들이 보다 쉽고 편리하게 접할 수 있도록 군 홈페이지에 게시할 계획이다. 군 관계자는 “군민 모두가 편안하고 따뜻한 겨울을 지낼 수 있도록 전 부서가 합심하여 종합대책 추진에 만전을 기하겠다”고 밝혔다.  

창녕군, 고병원성 AI 확산 방지를 위한 차단방역 총력 
창녕군은 지난 11월 17일 전남 해남군 산란계 농가와 충북 음성군 육용 오리농가에서 H5N6형 고병원성 조류인플루엔자 확진 이후 잇달아 추가 의심축이 발생하는 등 전국 확산이 우려되는 상황이어서 철새도래지인 우포늪이 있는 창녕군에서는 조류인플루엔자 차단을 위해 방역에 온 힘을 다하고 있다. 군은 농가별 전담공무원을 지정하여 매일 농가예찰과 소독 등 방역조치여부를 확인하고 있으며, 국내 AI 발생상황이 안정화될 때까지 축산농가 철새도래지 방문 금지, 축산농가 집회·모임 등을 자제토록 지도 홍보하고 있다. 야생철새로부터 AI 유입방지를 위해, 우포늪 및 장척늪에는 모든 탐방로 입구에 발판소독 카펫을 설치하였고, 가축방역차량을 동원해 주 3회 이상 소독을 하고 있으며, 철새가 운집하는 소하천과 세천에도 소독 실시 및 매주 분변시료를 채취하여 검사를 실시하고 있다. 창녕군은 천연기념물 제198호인 우포따오기를 보호하기 위해 복원센터 주변 자체 방역차량을 동원해 매일 소독을 실시하고 있으며, 철새 분변과 접촉 금지, 출입차량에 대한 소독철저 등 차단 방역에 최선을 다하고 있다.

창녕군, 제16회 청소년 한마당 축제 개최
창녕군이 주최하고 창녕군 청소년 지도위원 협의회가 주관한 제16회 창녕군 청소년 한마당 축제가 지난 25일 오전 9시에 창녕군민체육관에서 성황리에 개최되었다. 이날 행사에는 청소년, 지역주민 등 2,000여명이 참석한 가운데, 신종우 창녕 부군수를 비롯한 조성환 창녕경찰서장, 곽권태 창녕교육지원청교육장, 관내 중·고등학교장이 함께하여 미래의 희망인 청소년과 신명나는 시간을 가졌다. 청소년 한마당 축제는 군내 청소년들이 함께하는 창녕군의 대표적인 청소년 행사로 청소년들이 주체가 되는 댄스·노래 부문 경연대회, 창녕교육지원청의 ‘지역연계 꿈 생생! 끼 생생! 우포누리 예술 한마당 잔치 등 다양한 행사가 축제의 장을 더욱 빛나게 하였다. 군 관계자는 “올해로 16회째를 맞이하는 창녕군 청소년 한마당 축제는 청소년들이 수능과 학업의 부담으로부터 잠시나마 벗어나 청소년들의 끼와 재능을 발휘하고 또 건전한 스트레스 해소의 방안을 제시하기 위해 마련된 행사다. 이번 기회를 계기로 미래의 주역인 청소년들이 더욱 밝고 건강하게 성장할 수 있기를 바란다.”고 밝혔다.

Changnyeong launches ‘Winter Preparation’
Changnyeong mayor Kim Chung-sik announced on 29 last month to launch ‘Winter Preparation’ until February next year. The preparation covers 12 categories in 3 fields including prevention of winter safety accidents and disasters such as mountain fire and avalanche, check up on gas and electricity, and support for residents in need. The Hope Sharing Campaign supports residents in need the necessities and donations in cooperation with related organizations. The county soon will put ‘Winter Preparation Information’ which contains safety, health and life guidance, on the website so that the residents can access to the information readily. An official of the county said “We will work together under the Winter Preparation manual to prevent any winter accidents from happening.” 

Changnyeong runs full force to block AI to enter the county
Starting the outbreak from a duck farm in Eumseong County in North Chungcheong Province on 17 November, H5N6, the highly pathogenic avian influenza is keep spreading and Changnyeong is running a full force to block AI to enter the county. Each farmhouse is regularly checked by a designated staff of the county whether quarantine is needed and guiding the residents not to visit any habitat for migratory birds or do a meeting or gathering. The paths to Upo Wetland and Jangchuk Wetland are covered with sanitary carpets and quarantine vehicles are running 3 times a week including sanitization in small rivers and streams nearby. Excrement samples are also regularly collected and examined. In order to protect Upo Ibis, the county’s natural monument No.198, a quarantine vehicle is running everyday around the Restoration Center. 

Changnyeong holds 16th Changnyeong Youth Festival
Hosted by Changnyeong and managed by Changnyeong Juvenile Guidance Commissions Association, the 16th Changnyeong Youth Festival was held on 25 last month at Changnyeong Sports Center. 2,000 people including public officials and residents participated in a variety of programs in the festival including dance and singing contests and ‘Regional Dream Vividity! Talent Vividity!’ hosted by Changnyeong Office of Education. An official of the county said “The festival offers students, especially who have just done College Scholastic Ability Test, and residents to relax and enjoy a day with various interesting programs. We hope that the festival will help students grow sound and healthy and make their dream come true.”
