KOTRA, KFA and Government 3.0 break in Zalora
KOTRA, KFA (Korea Fashion Association) and Government 3.0 joined hands in order for Korean fashion brands to break in Zalaor, the largest fashion online shopping mall in South East Asia. The pop-up store called ‘Premium Korean Fashion’ will start to run from 11th August this year during a 2 month period in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Hong Kong and Taiwan. 80 local fashion industry specialists and power blogers attended the launching ceremony held in Singapore on 18 the same month. The online pop-up store provides 17 Korean fashion brands from 14 companies which have been approved its global competitiveness. Executive Director Giulio Xiloyannis of Zalora said “There is an increasing demand for Korean fashion brands in South East Asian countries and the pop-up store is expected to play a great role to increase the sales figures.” Zalora is an affiliated company to Global Fashion Group of Rocket Internet (Germany) and it boasts average 30 million visitors a month who seek an indulgence in shopping in the pool of 4,000 fashion brands. It is the No.1 clothes website in the world according to SimilarWeb. 

KOTRA holds ‘Australia-Korea Job Fair 2016’
KOTRA held ‘Australia-Korea Job Fair 2016’ on 10th last month in Melbourne to provide job opportunities for Korean working holidayers and Koreans studying or living in the country which estimated around 33,000. Job consulting and 1:1 job interview were carried out during the fair and 200 Korean job seekers competed each other for 67 work places provided by 31 Aussie companies. A video interview was also taken place in cooperation with KOTRA Trade Centers in Melbourne and Sydney. Numerous renowned experts presented their knowhow and tips on job hunting and visa issues including CEO John Kim of One Fine Secret (cosmetics), Antony Wallace (immigration solicitor) and CEO Junius Tjetje of Navanti Holdings (real estate development firm). Director Lee Jung-hun of KOTRA Trade Center Melbourne said “It is important to improve your English competency and work experience in the field you wish to work rather than depending on your academic background because the Aussie society values more of one’s job capability and work experience. We hope that the fair will be of great help for those who wish to work in Australia.”
