박근혜 대통령, 문화창조융합벨트 조성의 화룡점정인 K-Culture Valley 기공식 참석
박근혜 대통령은 지난 20일 오전 경기도 고양시 일산에서 열린 문화창조융합벨트 소비와 구현의 거점인 K-Culture Valley 기공식에 참석해 관계자들을 격려하고, K-Culture Valley의 주요 시설과 구현기술을 소개하고 문화창조융합벨트에서 성장하고 있는 기업의 제품이 전시 중인 홍보관을 방문했다. 먼저, 박근혜 대통령은 기공식 축사를 통해 우리의 우수한 문화콘텐츠와 한류는 세계인의 마음을 사로잡으면서 인류의 행복에 기여하고 있으며 대한민국의 위상을 높여주고 있다고 강조하고, 이제 문화를 산업화하고 창조적 콘텐츠를 만들어 세계적인 문화를 선도하는 것이 우리 미래성장동력의 핵심 중 하나가 될 것이라고 밝혔다. 박 대통령은 작년 2월 콘텐츠 기획 거점인 문화창조융합센터 개소를 시작으로, 제작 거점인 문화창조벤처단지, 인재양성과 기술개발, 재투자 거점인 문화창조아카데미가 문을 열어 곳곳에서 이미 가시적 성과들이 나타나고 있다고 말하며, 오늘 착공하는 K-Culture Valley는 이러한 문화창조융합벨트 조성의 화룡점정이라고 할 수 있다고 밝혔다. 이어 박근혜 대통령은 최근 국내외에서 큰 인기를 끌었던 드라마 ‘태양의 후예’를 사례로 들면서 직접 수출액은 100억 원이었지만, 드라마에 등장한 자동차, 조리도구 등의 수출 증가로 1조 원에 달하는 경제효과와 4천여 명의 취업유발 효과를 가져왔다고 언급하고, 관련 상품의 수출 확대와 한류 관광객 유치를 통해 막대한 부가가치를 창출하고, 국가브랜드까지 높이는 최고의 효자 상품이 바로 문화콘텐츠라고 강조했다. 끝으로 박근혜 대통령은 오늘 착공하는 K-Culture Valley가 국내를 넘어서, 세계인의 사랑을 받는 우리 문화콘텐츠의 종합 테마파크로 발전해 나가기를 기대한다고 말하고, 정부도 K-Culture Valley가 경제재도약과 청년 일자리 창출의 교두보가 될 수 있도록, 문화융성과 창조경제 추진에 더욱 박차를 가할 것이라고 덧붙였다.

박근혜 대통령, 중소기업의 성장과 발전을 위한 정책적 지원 의지 밝혀
박근혜 대통령은 지난 20일 오전 경기도 일산에서 열린 K-Culture Valley 기공식 참석에 이어 오후 중소기업인들을 청와대 영빈관으로 초청하여, 2016 대한민국 중소기업인대회를 함께 기념하고 오찬을 나누었다. 박 대통령은 축사를 통해 일자리 창출 및 경제 활성화에 노력해 준 중소기업계의 노고를 치하하고, 중소기업의 성장과 발전을 위한 규제개혁 가속화·중소기업 해외진출 등 정책적 지원 의지를 밝혔다. 또한, 박 대통령은 우리 경제를 활성화시키기 위해서는 신산업을 육성해서 미래 먹거리를 만들어내야 한다고 말하고, 규제개혁을 강력하고 신속하게 추진해서 중소기업인들이 경쟁력을 가지고 세계시장에 진출할 수 있도록 도울 것이라고 밝혔다. 아울러, 박근혜 대통령은 대한민국이라는 작은 내수시장으로는 우리 기업이 성장하는 데 한계가 있다며, 중소기업인들이 해외시장에 성공적으로 나아갈 수 있도록 수출 초보 기업에서 중견기업에 이르기까지 단계별로 최선을 다해서 맞춤형 지원을 해 나갈 것이라고 덧붙였다. 한편, 중소기업청이 주최하고 중소기업중앙회가 주관하는 이번 행사에는 전통제조 중소기업 이외에도 벤처기업, 여성기업, 소상공인 등 다양한 지역과 업종의 중소기업인 200여 명과 산업통상자원부 장관, 중소기업청장 등 정부부처 인사, 소상공인시장진흥공단 등 중소기업 지원 공공기관장 등 20여 명이 참석했다.

Park attends groundbreaking ceremony of K-Culture Valley
President Park attended groundbreaking ceremony of K-Culture Valley in Ilsan, Goyang City on 20 May. The valley plays the pivotal role of consuming and realizing ‘Cultural Creation and Convergence Belt’. Park toured the facilities of the valley and encouraged related officials. In her congratulatory speech, she said that K-Wave was captivating many hearts of people in the world and promoting Korea’s national status, and producing creative cultural contents, therefore, was one of the core future growth engines. Park mentioned about opening of the Creative Center for Convergence Culture in February last year which led to opening of Cultural Creation and Convergence Belt Complex and of Cultural Creation Academy, that already have drawn fruitful results, and opening of K-Culture Valley, therefore, would be the final touch of the belt. Park took the recent hit Korean drama ‘Descendants of the Sun’ as a good example which created KRW 1 trillion sales (10B on export and additional sales on the products appeared in it) and 4,000 jobs. Lastly, Park asked officials to make K-Culture Valley as a global total themed park that can spread Korean culture to the world and promised that the government would provide unsparing support.

Park expresses her will to support SMEs
President Park invited leaders of SMEs to the Blue House on 20 May to celebrate 2016 Korea SME Convention over lunch. In her congratulatory speech, Park praised their contribution to creating jobs and activating national economy and promised to do deregulation and support for SMEs to enter global markets. Park continued that the government would actively promote new growth industries and provide customized services step by step for SEMs so that they could equip with global level technology and competitiveness. 2016 Korea SME Convention this year was hosted by the Small and Medium Business Administration and managed by the Korea Federation of SMEs and 200 venture, women and small business owners and 20 officials of government organizations attended.
