Cultivating a quality eating habit for children through creative recipe
Cooking Art CEO Kim Ok-hee

Issuing private licenses and providing startup opportunities
Cooking Art is known as the Korea's first creative cooking research institute. It is the mecca of fostering cooking art specialists and it also issues 12 private cooking licenses. CEO Kim majored in children's education & home economics and is a mother of four children. She developed creative recipe and various educational programmes with healthy food and combined them with children's education. The programmes provide children the information about safe and healthy food in connection with the maths, science, reading and art education and they also help babies or children have a quality eating habit. Children become familiar with the cooking materials and ingredients through making the food by themselves. Kim says "The key of my programmes is that children make their food by themselves and this can increase their sense of accomplishment. In a word, it's about cooking, study and play at one go."

Working in partnership with nurseries and kindergartens
Kim recently introduced the Genius Cooking Class Programme to nurseries and kindergartens. The programme focused on developing children's brain and it includes sub programmes such as 'five colour cooking experience', 'playing with nature' and 'eating habit'. Kim developed the programme in cooperation with Director Chun Hyo-young of Hyodong Kindergarten in Daeju through a 2 year period. Also, Kim and CEO Kook Su-gyeong of the International Brain Research Institute have finished a joint research on new recipe which is also good for children's brain. Kim currently has signed with nurseries and kindergartens in Daegu, Gimhae, Gyeongsan and Siheung to use the programmes and she plans to keep expanding the partnership. Kim says "My programmes are really good as children can build knowledge and experience in food, eating habit and recipe while the educational institutes can run the effective educational programmes. I will make these programmes as important as Korean, English and maths by working together with my partners." Power Korea sends a message of support to Kim.
