The first reason for the birth of Pishon Cases (the name of the river that led to the original human civilization), the fourth wave of smart phone cases, was prevention of damage and protection. The second was creation of visual satisfaction and expression of personality through cases with a variety of designs. The third was to achieve practicality and artistic beauty by applying such things as character, accent, and mirror functions. The last but not least was to free the user’s hand from gravity by adding a fine adhesive function to the case itself, allowing the phone to stick to smooth and flat surfaces like glass, mirror, and tiles, which would eliminate the need for a supplementary device connecting the smart phone and the human user.

The “Pishon Case,” the innovative product created by the Pishon Group, Inc., was launched in March and its unique value is already being widely recognized by people in various industries. The Pishon case, which made use of special materials with adhesive properties, was manufactured after a long period of creative thinking and research by finely compressing the ingredients to optimize them for the product. It is a perfect product that’s clean, non-sticky, and even antiseptic, contrary to the preconceived view that it may be sticky and uncomfortable. It’s also dust free and anti-bacterial and gives 3D effects.

The case can be easily used in everyday life for taking selfies, viewing videos, video conferencing, presentation, cooking recipes, makeup, and fitness guide, etc. One well-known custom-made garment businessperson said, “It has now become so easy to talk to my customers because I can stick the case on a mirror and show the sampling and fitting on the screen.”

Jeff John Lee, the CEO of Pishon Group, explained that the name “Pishon Case” was derived from the Pishon River that first appears in Genesis 2. “It was the first river that originated from the Garden of Eden which was abundant in gold and jewels. From this river came the 4 rivers that led to the first human civilization and life.” Furthermore, the name Pishon also implies “a secretive hand.” So it is even more meaningful because smart phones are devices that communicate mainly through human hands, as Pishon strives to be an enterprise that can be a secretive helping hand to people.

Jeff John Lee, who believes that life itself is a movie and has frequently recorded and kept his lives’ many moments in videos, now has nearly 2 terabytes of motion picture files he has collected since his early youth. He first got the idea of making this innovative case while he was thinking of a new product that can help him work with photo/video files better. “All the talented individuals who came together for Pishon Group each contributed to the research, development, and production. After deciding to produce a new-concept case through a special process, we contacted and contracted with a top-quality manufacturer. We paid excruciating attention to details, everything from luxurious design to adhesive mold making.” 

Jeff John’s strategy to make every aspect luxurious and of top-quality, from packaging, design, and even to shopping bags, to produce the highest quality customer satisfaction, was a conclusion he reached based on his confidence in the quality of his product.

The Advance of Young Business Hopefuls who started from Scratch Desiring to Give Back their Fruits to Community 
Jeff John Lee was known as a free spirit in the U.S. He liked photography, movies, music, and performance since young age. After leaving school at 17, he sold cell phones wearing suit, while his friends were going to school wearing jeans. In order to move out and be independent, he used to live in his car for months. Once a prodigal son who eventually returned with the support of his family and friends, he then became a strong and independent student aspiring to be an actor/entertainer, before finally turning his attention to business and becoming a businessman. Having arrived in Korea with his ideas and passion, he actively sought out talented young people who could help him become a successful businessperson, putting aside for a little while his dream of becoming a successful actor.

Pishon Group started in a small space less than 400 square feet, with core members in their mid to late 20’s. Initially, they thought of making machinery such as multi Sushi cutters. When the cigarette price increased early in the year, they gained some experience from distribution of electronic cigarette liquid. Eventually they decided on a product that can be integrated with IT industry. 

They start all their projects with the mindset of creating something out of nothing and presenting solutions to the world through the following process: coming up with innovative ideas, growing the idea through phased, step-by-step development, making a sensational item, creating a revolution, and perfecting it through evolution. Their goal is to change the world by becoming a group that combines culture, art, and service.

Still young, and having come from diverse backgrounds, the core members are learning management and customer care through reality and direct communication with the people, not through schooling or degrees. Pishon Group, currently in the process of developing products in many different areas, has 4 affiliated companies and is solidifying its positions on the way to IPO.

In addition, Pishon Group is also expanding its domain to cultural and charity organizations. Recently the core members responded to the big earthquake in Nepal by going on a 9-day mission/relief aid trip to the country. They returned to Korea with an even greater realization and vision for the future.

Adding charging capability to the case on top of the great design and adhesive function 
“While others work 50 hours a week, we work 100 hours. The motivation to eat and sleep at work comes from the goal-oriented mindset and the sense of achievement of dreams.” Pishon members are confident that at least for a while, they don’t have to worry about their product being copied by others. If it’s just the visual or design, it may be possible for other companies to make copies. But since the main feature of the case is easy and perfect adhesiveness, only Pishon Group has the capability to manufacture them through their OEM factories. 

Also, by using the Korean, Chinese, and the U.S. market as the springboard, the group is preparing to expand to other markets including Cambodia, Japan, and Europe. Promptly responding to celebrities’ tester requests, Pishon is also doing its best to test and verify the product’s practicality and market reaction.

“Being content in the existing smart phone accessory market is such a complacent and lackadaisical attitude. We are finding that out thoroughly even before entering the market. We were able to develop this new-concept product because we were not satisfied with existing products. Although currently we can only attach the case to flat and smooth glossy surfaces like glass, mirror, and tiles, we are also the first to admit that it doesn’t work on non-flat surface. That’s because we are preparing the launch of this product in series, complementing and improving on the product through endless research. 

On top of the adhesive feature, we plan to add a charging / spare battery function and launch a new generation product in the future. In fact, I had the idea of a selfie stick and shoe insole for a long time, but when I came to Korea, they were marketed and sold by someone and were already widespread. I believe it’s not about who thinks of new ideas first; rather it is who implements them and puts them into practice first that determines success or failure.”

The Pishon cases, launched as the classic line for iPhones and swag line for Galaxy’s, have entered into contracts with SK authorized dealer for exclusive sales through clear distribution channels. They are officially sold online at Pishon Case authorized websites and Apple accessory specialty shopping malls. 

With the addition of various colors and designs in the future, we hope that this will be a meaningful “first stream” of Pishon Group striving to be a greater social enterprise that benefits and gives back to the community significantly.
