Park emphasizes on gathering national strength for educational renovation
President Park attended a new year's ceremony of the educational circle. Park said in her speech that the 21st century education requires creativity and right aptitude and personality over the traditional rote learning. She continued "We should have a long term perspective and attention to detail for educational renovation as it can form our student's idea about the values and the views on our history. And instilling confidence, pride and patriotism above all are the most important. I, therefore, ask all of you to put this principle into practice." The Park Administration has exerted its utmost effort in implementing '6 Tasks for Educational Renovation' which includes expanding 'free semester system' and 'study-work programme and job first-university later project'. Park added that if we work together, we could surely achieve satisfactory results.

Park attends Cultural Day event
Park attended Cultural Day event (the last cultural day of 2015) under the theme of 'Sports Culture, Fills Up With Taekwondo'. She watched various cultural and sports performance, including Poomsae (basic techniques of attack and defence) and modern Taekgyeon, performed by children of families without parents, disabled and multi-cultural families. This was followed by K-Pop and IT converged Taekwondo. Park praised the event that it could encourage children to have pride in our culture and history and the convergence of tradition and modernity would play an important role to spread the excellent Korean culture to the world. Park also mentioned a recent poll that many Korean children and students wanted to work in the art, culture and sports fields and the government, therefore, would keep providing the support so that our young people could spread their dream in the global stage over Korea.
