First opened with the name Dongchun Textile Industry in 1974, Sejung Group has pursued the balanced life style between work and living through the lifestyle fashion store 'WELLMADE' and is leading a customized fashion trend in Korea. Sejung's most renowned brands Indian and Brunobaffi (Italian classic suit) in particular are widely known to many for Korea's representative men's suit and casual ware. Another brand Olivia Lauren, on the other hand, provides luxury women's ware and the outdoor glamping brand 'VVOLIVIA' and the daily ware brand, added with classic elements, 'Dailist' are also very popular. Other brands of Sejung include NII (young sense with style), Chris Christy (business casual with luxury element), Heritory (practicality with compatibility), Centerpole and Heritory Golf (outdoor), and Didier Dubot, Olivia El, and Duani (jewelry and accessory). Apart from this fashion business, Sejung Group also runs Sejung Construction, Sejung INTEX (interior), Sejung C&C (distribution and culture), and Sejung I&C (IT).

Pioneering overseas market with localized strategies

To expand its business globally, Sejung Group has recently signed a business contract with the China's No.1 fashion company Meters/bonwe. The idea of the deal is that Sejung supplies products and Meters/bonwe promotes them in the local market. The latter was established in Shanghai in 1995 and was listed on the stock exchange in 2008. It is called Chinese version Uni Qlo and is currently running 4,000 stores nationwide. Both parties agreed to particularly promote Chris Christy in the Chinese market this year. Sejung launched the sub-brand of Chris Christy 'C REAL by CHRIS' late last year with a natural and classic brand image and it is being sold at many department stores at the moment. Kim Gyeong-gyu, Head of Foreign Division of Sejung Group said "We will closely work together to create win-win situation through cooperative management and marketing strategy. Sejung has been growing in the heart of the Korean fashion industry and we will do our best to promote our brands to be globally recognized brands in the near future." In addition to this cooperation, Sejung is planning to enter markets in Shanghai and Taiwan with its brand Didier Dubot (currently sold at Harvey Nichols Hongkong Land Mark and Pacific Place branches and Hongkong Hysan Place). Also, Olivia Lauren is currently discussing with partner companies on localization and expansion of distribution channel.
