축의금과 부조금으로 쓸 수 있는 획기적인 포인트 탄생

직장과 학연, 인맥으로 매달 지출되는 경조사비로 고민하는 사람이 많다. 그리고 할인혜택이나 캐시백으로 환원되는 각종 포인트들은 매년 바뀌는 정책으로 다 쓰지 못하거나 사용 자격에 도달하지 못해 사라지는 일이 허다하다. 이 두 가지를 획기적으로 해결한 적립시스템이 등장해 화제다. ㈜두울림은 모바일 자동적립시스템, 경조사 지불시스템 프로그램을 갖춘 ㈜피엔피 인터내셔날 법인으로부터 출발한 지 2년 만인 2015년, ‘두울림’이라는 법인명으로 거듭나게 된다. 대한민국 소비문화에 꼭 필요한 경조사에 적합한 경조사지급방법 시스템을 개발해 2013년 특허를 받은 유재석 대표는 “조상들의 현명한 두레정신에 착안해 회원들이 일정한 포인트를 적립한 후 필요한 사람에게 몰아주는 상부상조의 정신이 깃든 포인트캐시백제도”라고 설명한다. 이 시스템은 1/n부조 시스템으로서 가입하면 두울림의 평생회원이 되고, 회원카드로 지정된 곳에서 계산하면 포인트를 적립할 수 있다. 1-2년 단위로 소멸되는 일반 포인트와 달리, 포인트는 계속 유지되며 12개월 이상 가입자들을 대상으로 회원의 경조사 등 행사가 발생하면 전국 다수 회원의 포인트에서 해당회원에게 일정 금액이 기부되는 식이다. 그래서 장례비용, 웨딩촬영비용, 출산장려금, 크루즈여행비용, 자녀의 대학 학자금을 준비할 수 있다. “가맹점은 계속 늘어나고 있다. 그리고 판매자와 소비자 사이의 중간유통 마진을 없애서 그 이익으로 높은 포인트 적립이 가능하도록 했다. 1점 당 1원으로 환산되고 평균 5-10%대의 높은 포인트로 적립속도가 빠르다” 유 대표는 장례와 같은 경조사 중심의 서비스만 하면 30-40대 이후부터 60-70대 사이에는 쓸 서비스가 없다는 것에 주목하고, 비용이 많이 들어가는 인생의 터닝 포인트 부분인 출산장려금, 의료비 등에 지원금을 주는 제도를 만들었다고 한다.

두울림 모바일앱으로 간편 사용, 전국 가맹점 확대로 전망 밝아

현재 2만 명의 회원을 확보하고 전국 지사를 모집해 둔 유 대표는 “‘두레’와 ‘울림’이라는 의미로 출범한 두울림은 협동조합의 개념”이라고 한다. 두울림은 캠핑카, 종합건설, 온라인 쇼핑몰 등을 런칭하여 포인트 적립의 범위를 넓혀갈 예정이다. 두울림 P&C의 영업망은 이러한 시스템을 위해 만들었다. 대기업 등 다산업분야기업의 포인트제도가 하나로 통합되어도 기한이 지나면 사라지거나 활용범위가 적은 것과 반대로, 대리운전 등 각종 가맹점에 이어 100만 회원을 돌파할 시점이면 유치원, 학원, 병원, 음식점, 커피프랜차이즈, 마트 등으로 넓혀갈 것이다. 현재 마트와의 가맹 작업이 이루어지고 있으며, 개인창업자들도 두울림에 가입하면 포인트 제도에 참여할 수 있어 더 많은 고객들이 편리하게 이용할 수 있다. 오는 4월 두울림은 앱을 런칭하여 다운로드와 가입으로 회원이 될 수 있는 편리한 플랫폼을 추가할 예정이라고 한다. 앱에서는 전국 가맹점의 위치, 고객의 현재 위치에서 가까운 가맹점 및 포인트 적립지수 등을 확인할 수 있다. “적립 포인트는 당월 사용되어 적립된 금액을 다음달에 적립, 그 다음 달에 지급하는 식이다. 가맹점과 쇼핑몰을 이용하는 고객은 두울림의 서버를 통해 전환된 포인트에서 90%의 액수를 캐쉬로 지급받을 수 있게 했다” 협동조합을 표방했기 때문에, 두울림의 오픈마켓형 포인트 쇼핑몰에서는 구매자와 판매자 사이의 직거래를 추구한다. 중간에 판매 및 등록에 필요한 수수료가 없으며, 구매자가 소비자가격과 포인트를 설정해 판매자와 구매자의 합리적인 상거래가 가능하다.

소멸 없는 평생유효포인트 품앗이로 인생을 재테크하는 법

유 대표는 영업사원 없이 가맹점에서 전체적으로 통용되는 카드를 발급하는 방법을 채택했다. “예를 들면 의정부의 치킨가게에서 적립된 포인트를 부산의 미용실에서 쓰거나 재적립할 수 있는 구조다. 소멸 없이 계속 모이면 생활에 유용하게 쓸 수 있다. 많은 시행착오를 거쳐 그 포인트의 적용범위를 점점 넓히고 있다. 전통시장, 골목가게의 영세한 상인들도 이 포인트제에 참여할 수 있기 때문에 고객을 관리해 상생하는 구조를 만들겠다” 해외에도 드문 이러한 시스템은 평생회원으로 살아간다면 태어나서 장례까지 들어가는 과정 중 평균 2천만 원 정도를 지원할 수 있도록 되어 있다. 그 이유는 회원가입에 서로 축의금, 부조를 해주는 공지가 있기 때문에, 살면서 해당이 되면 계를 타듯 받아갈 수 있다는 것이다. 이러한 과정이라면 가입/사용한 지 12개월 이상 유지된 회원들은 우선 결혼 축의금을 겸한 웨딩촬영비 지원으로 시작되어 출산장려금조로 산후조리원 비용을 지급받고, 자녀가 대학에 입학하면 소정의 금액을 입학축하금으로 받게 된다. 고희를 맞은 고객은 잔치 비용을 지원받고, 장례비용도 가능하다. 사고, 상해, 질병, 수술비용 또한 확대해갈 예정이다. 그리고 크루즈여행 혹은 해외여행은 가입 24개월을 유지한 회원을 대상으로 여행 시 일정액을 지원받게 된다. 이는 1회 사용 후 60개월을 유지하면 또다시 이용할 수 있어 여느 보험보다 혜택이 좋을 것이라는 평가를 받는다. “두울림과 연계된 (주)한국장례지원단에서는 연고 없는 노인들의 무료장례지원을 할 체계를 갖고 있다. 또 한국소상인지원단은 상권분석과 마케팅교육을 진행한다. 나중에는 건설사와 연계되어 포인트로 입주금을 지불하게 되고, 편의점처럼 생겨난 두울림 마트의 위치를 앱으로 검색해 구매하고 포인트를 받게 될 것이다. 언젠가는 두울림을 통해 무상급식지원 할 수도 있을 것이다” 아날로그 시대의 따뜻한 두레나눔을 디지털 IT시대에 재현한 ㈜두울림이 가장 한국적인 포인트 캐시백을 통해 인생을 재테크하는 평생의 이웃으로 자리 잡기를 기대해 본다.

Cash gifts take a great part in Korean culture and it is often a burden to many people. There are numerous cash back and discount services but many of us are not even using it in full due to the constant changes of the policy. But CEO Yoo Jae-suk of Duwoolrim combined these two services as one. It started with the name PNP International with automated system and cash gifts payment system but changed the name after 2 years to the current one in 2015. With the development of the cash gifts payment system, Yoo obtained a patent in 2013. He says "I borrowed an idea from our traditional farmers' cooperative group (Durae) for the system and members can accumulate points to transfer to those who need." It is a 1/n monetary gift system and you become a permanent member when you join and can accumulate points when make a payment with membership card at designated places. Unlike other points that disappear over 1 or 2 years, you can keep your points as long as you want and part of the points go to other members (more than 12 month membership) who are eligible for cash gifts and vice versa. In other words, you can save money for funeral, wedding, child rearing, cruise trip or school expenses. Yoo said "We are opening more affiliated branches. We removed mid-distribution to give more points to our members and 1 point is KRW 1 (0.85 penny) and you can accumulate average 5% to 10% points."

Duwoolrim mobile app makes it easy to use

Yoo currently has 20,000 members. The name Duwoolrim comes from the combined word of Durae and Woolrim (resonance). Yoo plans to expand his business scope to camping car, construction and online shopping mall to give more points to the members. For this, Yoo made P&C Network and he plans to expand his business further to kindergarten, schools, hospitals, restaurants, coffee franchise and marts by the time he will have 1 million members. He is already discussing on affiliation with some marts, and private business owners can also use this point system when join in. Kim also plans to introduce Duwoolrim mobile app in April this year for an easy download and membership process. The app will let you know the location of each member store and the nearest store around you. Yoo said "The accumulated points are used in the month and the accumulated money is saved next month and is paid the following month with 90% as cash." Duwoolrim does direct sales between sellers and buyers in open-type market point shopping mall. This means that the buyers establish retail price and points to make reasonable deals.

"Enjoy your permanent points to manage your finance"

Yoo issues the membership card that can be used in all member stores. He says "For example, you can use or re-save the points accumulated in a chicken store in Uijeongbu at a hair salon in Busan. Everybody is welcome to join and have advantage and convenience of using the membership card." It is estimated that you can give or take up to KRW 20 million with the instant alarm function of the app when an event of a member is coming up. And you can use your saved money for your choice of events such as wedding (more than 12 month membership), funeral, hospital, cruise or overseas trip (more than 24 month membership)... you name it. Once you use the points, you can reuse it after 6 months. Yoo concluded "We are closely working together with the Korea Funeral Support Corp and it will provide a free funeral service for bondless elderly people. And the Korea Small Business Support Corp will carry out market analysis and marketing education. If it is connected to the construction industry, you can pay the initial payment of your new house.
