허창수 회장, “기업-농촌 협력해서 농업 한류 이끌자”
경제계, 농업계, 정부 대표가 우리 농업의 고부가가치화와 수출 확대를 기원하기 위해 한 자리에 모였다. 허창수 전국경제인연합회(이하 ‘전경련’) 회장은 10일 이동필 농림축산식품부 장관, 최원병 농협중앙회장과 함께 농협중앙회 광장에서 열린 「농촌사랑 김장나눔 캠페인」에 참석, 대표적 겨울 농식품인 김치를 담그며 도농협력을 통한 우리 농업 발전을 기원하였다.

허창수 전경련 회장은 캠페인에 앞서 열린 「2015 농촌사회공헌인증서 수여식」 인사말을 통해 “경제계와 농촌이 힘을 모아 우리 농업을 고부가가치 산업으로 발전시키자”며 “김치나 삼계탕을 칠레 닭고기, 뉴질랜드 키위처럼 한국을 대표하는 농식품으로 육성하는 것도 가능할 것”이라고 제안하였다. 더불어, 수상 기업들에게 “오늘 농촌 사회공헌에 열심인 기업들이 있어 우리 농촌이 더욱 경쟁력을 갖고 농산물이 해외로 뻗어나갈 수 있을 것”이라고 격려의 말을 전했다.

이날 「농촌사랑 김장나눔 캠페인」은 우리나라 전통 식품인 김치를 소재로 우리 농업 도약에 대한 희망을 나타냈다. 허창수 회장 등 주요 참석자들은 직접 김치 속을 버무리며 김치를 담그고 이를 용기에 포장하는 등 적극적으로 행사에 참여하며 농촌에 대한 애정을 나타냈다. 이날 행사에 대해 전경련 이용우 사회본부장은 “다양한 재료가 하나로 섞여 맛을 내는 김치를 통해 도시와 농촌이 하나로 뭉쳐 우리 농업의 고부가가치화를 달성하고 문화산업의 한류처럼 농식품의 해외 진출을 촉진하자는 의미를 담았다”고 설명하였다. 이날 마련한 김치는 서대문구 관내 소외계층에게 전달되어 이웃사랑의 의미도 더할 예정이다.

한편, 「2015 농촌사회공헌인증서 수여식」에서는 효성 등 농촌 사회공헌을 활발히 추진한 15개 기업·기관이 수상하였다. 허창수 회장은 수상 기업 대표들에게 직접 머플러를 걸어주며 수상을 축하하였다.

경제5단체, 저출산 극복을 위한 실천선언문 발표
전경련, 대한상의, 무역협회, 중기중앙회, 경총 등 경제5단체는 저출산 극복을 위해 결혼·출산·양육에 친화적인 기업문화를 조성해 나가겠다고 선언했다. 허창수 전경련 회장, 김인호 무역협회 회장, 박성택 중기중앙회 회장, 박병원 경총 회장, 이동근 대한상의 부회장 등 경제5단체장은 12월 15일(화) 오전 7시 30분 프레스센터 19층에서 최경환 경제부총리, 정진엽 복지부 장관, 이기권 고용부 장관, 김희정 여가부 장관과 만나 저출산 극복 방안에 대해 논의했고, 결혼·출산·양육에 친화적인 기업문화를 조성해 나가기 위한 경제계 실천 선언문을 발표했다.

이날 간담회에서 허창수 전경련 회장은 “저출산 극복을 위해 일자리 확대, 주택보급, 보육시설 확충 등을 담은 정부의 제3차 저출산·고령사회 대책에 추가적으로 사교육비 완화나 전 국민이 공감할 수 있는 출산장려 캠페인도 추진되어야 할 것이다”고 말했다.

선언문은 “①결혼과 출산을 위해 청년 일자리를 늘리고, ②장시간 근로문화를 개선해 가족친화적인 기업문화를 확산하고, ③출산·육아를 위해 마련된 제도가 정착될 수 있도록 노력하며, ④국공립 보육시설 확대와 발맞추어 직장어린이집을 확대해 나가고, ⑤남성들도 자유롭게 육아휴직을 사용할 수 있게 하며, ⑥모범사례를 공유·확산하기 위해 민관합동 협의 채널에 적극 참여하겠다”이다. 

Huh, “Let’s make Korean agriculture a new Korean Wave”
The officials of economic and agricultural world and the government gathered together to make Korean agriculture a high value added industry and to raise its export volume. Huh Chang-soo, Chairman of The Federation of Korean Industries (FKI), with Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Dongphil Lee and Chairman Wonbyung Choi of NongHyup, attended Kimchi Sharing Campaign held at the NongHyup square on 10 last month in the hope of promoting Korean agriculture. Huh said in his speech at 2015 Agricultural Society Certificate Awards “Let’s make Korean agriculture as high value added industry. It is possible that we can promote Korean food such as Kimchi and Chicken soup as representative Korean food to the world.“ He said to the winner companies “Thanks to the companies which contributed to the development of Korean agriculture, our products will have high competitiveness in the global market.“ The participants in the campaign seasoned and packaged Kimchi themselves and showed their firm will in promoting Korean agricultural products. The head of FKI’s Social Headquarters Yongwoo Lee said “We expect the campaign will be a momentum to promote Korean agricultural products and create a new Korean Wave in the world.“ The kimchi made on the day was donated to underprivileged in Seodaemun District. Meanwhile, 15 organizations and companies won various prizes in the awards. Huh draped the winners with medals and encouraged them.

5 economic organizations to announce measures for low birth rate
FKI, KCCI, KITA, KBIZ and KEF announced that they would raise birth rate and support families through various programmes and family-friendly company policies. The chairmen of each organization also had a meeting at Press Center early morning on 15 December with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Strategy and Finance Gyeonghwan Choi, Minister of Health and Welfare Chinyoub Chung, Minister of Employment and Labor Kiwon Lee and Minister of Gender Equality and Family Heejung Kim to discuss on measures for low birth rate and announced a declaration of family-friendly company culture. Huh said “Job creation, housing supply and expansion of nursery facilities are needed in addition to easing private educational expanses and childbirth promotion.” The declaration contains 1) creating and increasing jobs for youth, 2) improving work conditions, 3) introducing childbirth and rearing policies, 4) securing public and private nursery facilities, 5) regulating paternity leave and 6) creating a cooperation channel consisting of both public officials and citizens.
