삼성전자, 2016년형 프리미엄 ‘노트북 9’ 출시
삼성전자는 2016년형 대화면·초경량 프리미엄 노트북인‘노트북 9’두 모델을 공개하고 28일부터 예약판매를 실시한다. 노트북 9 시리즈는 2011년 3월 첫 출시 후 올해 7월까지 글로벌 누적 판매 200만대를 돌파하며 강력한 성능과 슬림한 디자인으로 프리미엄 노트북 시장을 이끌고 있다. 38.1cm(15형) 대화면과 6.2mm의 초슬림 베젤이 적용된 노트북 900X5L은 노트북 최초로 삼성만의 독자기술인‘퀵 충전’이 적용되어 90분 이내에 완전 충전이 가능하며 완충 시 최대 12시간 연속 사용할 수 있다. 또한 20분 가량 충전하면 최대 3.7시간 사용할 수 있으며, 동영상 재생 시 약 2시간 가량의 영화 한 편을 감상 할 수 있다. 

초경량 노트북 900X3L은 동급 최경량인 840g으로 2015년형 동일 사양 대비 무게를 230g 줄였다. 900X3L은 400nit의 디스플레이로 밝고 선명한 화면을 경험할 수 있으며, 주변의 밝기를 감지하여 키보드 백라이트가 자동으로 조절되는 오토백릿 키보드를 탑재했다. 

이번‘노트북 9’신제품 두 모델은 마주보는 사람과 화면을 공유할 수 있도록 180도 회전이 가능한‘컨설팅 모드’를 적용하여 여러명이 작업을 할 때 마치 노트를 펼쳐 함께 보는 듯한 편리함을 제공한다. 메탈 소재를 사용하여 더욱 견고해지고 얇고 가벼워져 이동 편의성을 높인 이번 노트북 9 신제품은 고급스러운 아이언 실버와 우아하고 차분한 모던 핑크 두 컬러로 출시되며, 6세대 인텔코어 i5 8GB 메모리, 128GB SSD 기준 900X5L의 출고가는 179만원, 900X3L는 171만원이다. 삼성전자 무선사업부 홍성룡 상무는 “국내 소비자들에게 가장 먼저 삼성전자의 최신형 노트북을 소개하기 위해 글로벌 최초로 한국에서 예약 판매를 시작했다”며“사용자 편의를 고려한 최적화된 사양과 기능을 담아 2016년형 노트북 9을 선보였다”고 밝혔다. 

삼성전자, CES 2016서 스마트 TV 게임 대거 공개
삼성전자가 1월 6일부터 9일까지 미국 라스베이거스에서 열리는 세계 최대 가전 전시회 CES 2016에서 다양한 스마트 TV 게임을 공개한다. 최근 증가하고 있는 게임 인구를 반영하듯, 43개국에서 서비스되는 삼성 스마트TV 게임은 올해 1월에서 11월말 기준 누적 다운로드 수 800만, 월 사용자 수 450만 명을 돌파하는 등 폭발적인 성장을 했다. 삼성전자는 ‘스마트 TV 게임’ 에서 다운받는 다운로드형 게임과 콘솔 기기 없이 즐기는 스트리밍 게임을 제공하고 있으며, 2016년에는 전 세계 소비자들에게 한 차원 높은 엔터테인먼트 경험을 선사하기 위해 더욱 강화된 게임 서비스를 제공한다. 특히 현재 63개의 게임이 제공되는 다운로드형 게임은 2016년형 스마트 TV에서는 100여개로 확대된다. 또한 해외에서 서비스되고 있는 삼성 스마트 TV의 스트리밍 게임은 올해 ‘플레이스테이션 나우(Playstation Now)’ 100여개, ‘게임플라이(GameFly)’ 50여개의 게임이 제공되던 것에서 큰 폭으로 증가하여, 2016년에는 300여개의 ‘플레이스테이션 나우(PlayStation Now)’ 게임과 100여개의 ‘게임플라이(GameFly)’ 게임이 제공될 예정이다. 삼성전자 영상디스플레이사업부 김영찬 상무는 “TV를 단순히 보는 기기를 넘어 엔터테인먼트 기기로 활용하고자 하는 소비자의 니즈가 증가하고 있다”며, “삼성 TV는 최적의 엔터테인먼트 경험을 제공하기 위해 지속적으로 유명 게임 파트너들과의 파트너십을 확대하는 등 다양한 게임 서비스를 확대해 나갈 것”이라고 밝혔다. 

Samsung releases premium 'Notebook 9'
Samsung Electronics released two models of premium laptop 'Notebook 9 (2016 model) this year. It has a larges screen and is ultra light. The series was first released in March 2011 and more than 2 million of them have been sold with the advantage of strong performance and slim design. 900X5L for example is loaded with a large screen (38.1cm), ultra slim bezel (6.2mm) and quick recharging in 90 minutes for the use of 12 hours. When recharged for 30 minutes, you can use it for 3.7 hours with 2 hours of watching video images. 900 X3L on the other hand weighs only 840g (230g reduced on 2015 model). You can experience bright and clear screen with its 400mit display and its auto backlit keyboard automatically adjust the level of brightness on the screen by sensing the light around. The two models also are loaded with 'consulting mode' which you can rotate the screen to 180 degrees for easy communication with people around you. Samsung used metallic materials and increased portability and the models are provided in iron silver and modern pink. Its 6 generation i5 8GB memory and 128 GB SSD makes you pay only $1,500 for 900X5L and $1,400 for 900X3L. Director Sungryeong Hong of Samsung Electronics' Wireless Business Division said "We exclusively released 2016 model Notebook 9 in the Korean market and we hope that people will experience its topnotch functions and performance."

Samsung releases smart TV games at CES 2016
Samsung Electronics is releasing its various smart TV games at CES 2016 which will be held in Las Vegas from 6 to 9 January. Samsung reflected an increasing number of gamers and Samsung smart TV games were downloaded by 8 million times from 43 countries with 4.5 million monthly users last year. Samsung is currently providing download type and streaming based games and released games with improved functions this year for an advanced entertainment. Especially, Samsung increased the number of the download type games on smart TV to 100 from 63. The number of streaming games (exclusively provided in overseas countries) on the other hand will be increased to 300 (PlayStation Now) from 100 and 100 (GameFly) from 50. Director Youngchan Kim of Samsung Electronics' Image Display Business Division said "We reflected people's want to use TV for total entertainment and we will keep expand cooperation with our famous partner game companies to give ultimate entertainment experience on Samsung TV."
