Instruction Manual of Artificial Intelligence VS Human Intelligence
Columnist Core Riddle
Innovating human resource with customized brain science education
Children under 15 who have not had research experience or talent in certain areas are less likely to be global leaders. This is closely related to brain science education which is not normally provided in the Korean public education. But columnist Core Riddle is suggesting an innovative education of ‘brain development education’ and ‘pedagogy’ that can be done at home. Core thinks that public education is difficult to be changed but he can change home education. Core tells school parents “Parents should allow their children under 7 to scribble freely because it raise their thinking ability. Let them do it wherever and whenever. Brain develops based on educational environment rather than genetic factors. This means that their experience of scribbling can be the foundation for developing their senses in culture, art and sports.
Dopamine nerve network delights every experience and study and gives creativity. Many Korean children do not have opportunities to develop the network as the existing curriculums are mainly focused on school record. That is why many talented Korean children cannot even display their capabilities and lack in self-directedness. - Instruction Manual for Brain by Core Riddle -
Core worries about competitive education system in Korea while the Northern European countries’ are built on freedom and cooperation and the US on idea and personality. Core says Korean children have a good brain and they can prove their full ability if educated like those advanced countries. They can even surpass those countries. Apart from his columnist job, Core is also a renowned artist. He won the grand prize as the youngest participant at Joongang Finearts Prize held by The Joongang Ilbo when he was studying at Seoul National University. Thanks to this, he was invited to the Blue House and had a meal with former president Kim Dae-jung. Meanwhile, he is planning to use the money he earned by selling his art works for brain science education and venture startup.
Core’s promising future
Core is trying to put the conception of Joseph Beuys’s ‘Social Sculpture’ who was an artist and political and environmental activist. Beuys said everybody was an artist and he tried to combine education, politics and art. Core said that he wanted to focus on writing until he becomes 50 and then he would focus on art works which, he expect, would be sold at higher prices. When in the 60s, he plans to establish a more innovative venture investment firm to settle down better education systems than European ones in Korea. Core named his son as ‘Jumong Ko’ in the hope of making Korea as the Second Goguryeo through his talent, wealth and invention. Core gave me his book ‘Instruction Manual of Artificial Intelligence VS Human Intelligence’ with his signature on it as a gift. The book tells us to remind the future and let us live in full.
