미래창조과학부, 기초원천 기술사업화 컨퍼런스 2016 개최 
미래창조과학부 최양희 장관은 2016년 기초·원천 연구성과의 기술사업화(Lab to Market)를 본격 추진하기 위한 「기초·원천 기술사업화 컨퍼런스 2016」을 개최했다.
기초·원천기술로 기업의 성장한계를 돌파할 협업의 길을 찾기 위한 이번 행사에는 대학·출연연 연구자와 대기업·중소기업 관계자 등 500여명이 참석하여 기술사업화에 대한 높은 관심을 나타냈다. 이번 행사는 2015년 한 해 동안의 우수한 연구 성과와 기술이전 성과를 정리하면서, 2016년 국내 주요 기업의 미래 전략·비전을 발표하고 새로운 기술사업화 모델을 본격 추진하기 위해 마련되었다. 미래부는 기술 분야별로 워킹그룹을 구성하고, 관련 기술을 발굴하여 패키징하며, 유망한 비즈니스 모델을 만들어 기업이 활용하는 새로운 기술사업화 방식을 추진하여 혁신사례가 창출되도록 유도할 계획이다. 이처럼 공동으로 비즈니스 모델을 개발하는 방식은 다양한 기술과 시장을 동시에 고려할 수 있어, 기존 방식에 비해 기술의 활용도를 높이고 기술이전의 성공 가능성과 진행 속도를 개선할 것으로 전망된다.

행사에 앞서, 최양희 장관은 “기술이전 활성화를 위한 간담회”에서 코스닥협회와 대기업, 중소기업 등 참석자로부터 기술이전·활용 과정에서 겪었던 다양한 경험을 듣고 개선방안을 함께 논의하는 시간을 가졌다. 이 자리에서 참석자들은 기술이전과 창업의 중요성에 대해 공감하고, 기술사업화 지원 체계와 관련 제도 정비가 필요하다는 의견을 제시하였다. 그 외에, 국내 주요 분야별 기업의 대응 전략과 추진방안이 발표되는 등 연구자와 기업 현장의 간극을 좁히기 위한 다양한 논의가 진행되었다. 미래부 최양희 장관은 “세계경제 둔화와 중국 등 신흥국의 거센 추격속에서 새로운 성장동력 확보가 절실한 상황”이라며, “연구자와 기업간 협력을 바탕으로 하는 새로운 기술사업화 방식이 기업의 경쟁력 확보와 혁신사례 창출에 기여하기를 기대한다”고 밝혔다.

미래창조과학부, 「K-Global@China 2015」 성황리에 개최
미래부가 주최하고 대한무역투자진흥공사(이하 ‘KOTRA’)가 주관한 「K-Global@China 2015」는 행사 기간 중 스마트시티 분야의 국내 전문기업 ESE가 중통지혜성시유한공사와 100만불 상당의 소주시 스마트시티 플랫폼 구축 사업 추진에 관한 양해각서(MOU)을 체결한 것을 비롯하여 총 5건의 MOU가 체결하는 등 국내 SW/ICT 기업의 중국 진출 가능성을 한층 높인 것으로 평가되고 있다. 특히, 이번 행사는 전시상담회, 스타트업IR, 한-중 ICT 협력 포럼뿐만 아니라, 스마트시티 체험관, 핀테크 세미나, 클라우드 비즈니스 상담회 등과 같은 유망 ICT 서비스에 관한 다양한 전문 프로그램을 신설하여 양국 ICT산업의 발전을 위한 협력 기반을 마련하였다. 포럼은 양국을 대표하는 ICT 기업인들의 발표로 구성되었다. 중국의 차이나텔레콤이 중국 인터넷 플러스 정책 및 발전방향을 발표한데 이어 화웨이는 자사의 ICT혁신전략을 한중 기업인들과 공유하였으며, 한국을 대표해 참가한 삼성경제연구소 및 네이버에서는 ICT산업 전망 및 한중 양국간의 협력 방안에 대하여 발표하였다. 미래부 최양희 장관은 개회식 환영사에서 “세계 각국이 한국과 중국의 ICT 산업 혁신 노력을 주목하고 있다.”고 이야기하고, “한-중 양국이 긴밀한 협력관계를 토대로 ICT분야에서 실질적인 협력과 파트너십을 구축하여 새로운 가치를 만들고 공동의 이익을 추구함으로써 글로벌 ICT산업 발전을 성공적으로 주도해 나가자”고 강조했다.

Choi holds Basic Original Technology Commercialization Conference 2016
Choi Yang-hee, Minister of Science, ICT and Future Planning held Basic Original Technology Commercialization Conference 2016 to push forward Lab to Market. The conference tried to find ways for cooperation to break through the growth limit with basic and original technologies and 500 people from universities, companies and organizations participated. The event concluded the results of R&D and technology transfer of 2015 and presented future strategy and vision of Korean companies for 2016. The ministry is planning to form working groups according to its field of technology and promoting promising business models for companies to use. This cooperative development of business models can make better use of technology and its rapid transfer by analysing various current technologies in the market. Choi said "I had a valuable time to listen to officials of KOSDAQ of Dreams and Hopes and SMEs about technology transfer at 'Meeting for Activation of Technology Transfer'. We discussed on improvement measures such as revising the related systems and regulations. Participants also presented major companies' strategies for countermeasure and implementation plans in the hope of narrowing down the gap between researchers and companies." Choi added "Korea needs to secure new growth engines to cope with global economic downturn and ever challenging developing countries. And I think the cooperation between researchers and businesses will generate new basic and original technologies that can raise national competitiveness."

Choi successfully holds 'K-Global@China 2015'
Hosted by Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning and run by KOTRA, 'K-Global@China 2015' was successfully held. During the event period, Korean company ESE specialized in smart city signed a MOU worth $1M with Joongtong Jihaesungsi Limited (China) and another 5 MOUs were signed between the companies. The event proved the possibility of Korean companies in SW/ICT to pioneer the Chinese market. The event ran various programmes including exhibition consultation, startup IR, Korea-China ICT Cooperation Forum, smart city experience hall, FinTech seminars and cloud business consulting. Representative ICT related businessmen of both countries also presented themselves including China Telecom on Chinese Internet Plus Policies and Development Direction, Huawei on ICT Innovation Strategy and Samsung Economic Research Institute and Naver on Vision on ICT Industry and Measures for Korea-China Cooperation. Choi said "The world is paying attention to ICT innovation in Korea and China. If the two countries closely work together on mutual interests, we can successfully lead the development of the global ICT industry."
