박근혜 대통령, 전국시군자치구의회 의장과의 오찬
박근혜 대통령이 전국의 시군자치구의회 의장을 청와대로 초청해 오찬을 함께 했다. 박 대통령은 주민들 가까이에서 봉사하며, 지역발전을 위해 애쓰고 있는 기초의회 의장들을 격려했다. 올해는 지방의회가 부활한 지 25년, 본격적인 지방자치가 시작된 지 21년이 되는 해다. 박근혜 대통령은 그동안 전국의 시군구의회가 질적·양적 성장을 거듭하면서 지역 여론의 대변자이자 국정운영의 동반자로서 큰 몫을 담당해 왔다고 밝혔다. 이어 앞으로도 발로 뛰는 의정활동으로 주민 행복을 높여주고, 더욱 생산적인 지방자치가 구현될 수 있도록 노력해 줄 것을 당부했다.

지난 1년간 정부는 4대 개혁을 강력히 추진하면서 경제 전반에 새로운 활력을 불어넣기 위해 총력을 기울여 왔다. 또한, 전 공공기간에 임금피크제 도입 및 노사정 대타협으로 청년들에게 더 많은 일자리를 제공할 수 있는 토대도 마련했다. 그리고 인터넷 전문은행 및 자유학기제 도입으로 금융·교육 분야 개혁의 결실을 맺고 있고, 생애주기별 맞춤형복지제도를 본격적으로 도입했다. 

박근혜 대통령은 매일 주민 가까이에서 생활하는 시군구의회 의원들이 일자리와 경기회복에 대한 국민들의 간절한 바람을 잘 알고 있을 것이라고 언급했다. 이어 정부는 내년에도 흔들림 없이 4대 개혁을 완수하고, 창조경제와 문화융성을 통해 우리 경제를 도약시키기 위해서 혼신의 노력을 다 할 것이라고 강조했다. 이러한 미래를 위한 개혁과 성장기반 구축은 중앙정부만의 노력으로만 이루기 어렵다며, 중앙과 지방이 함께 힘을 모을 때만이 이 모든 것을 이룰 수 있다고 밝혔다.

박근혜 대통령, 전국 어르신들과의 오찬
박근혜 대통령이 은퇴 후에도 사회 각 분야에서 건강하고 활기차게 생활하는 어르신들을 청와대로 초청해 오찬을 함께했다. 오찬자리에는 고령에도 불구하고 현역활동 어르신, 자원봉사·기부 등 나눔 실천 어르신, 노인 일자리 참여 어르신 등 총 182명이 참석했다. 우리 어르신들은 일제강점기와 6.25 전쟁을 겪으면서 폐허나 다름없던 조국을 피와 땀으로 재건해서 한강의 기적을 이뤄냈고, 그 헌신을 토대로 대한민국은 세계 10위권에 당당히 성장할 수 있었다.

박근혜 대통령은 국가와 후손들을 위해 온몸을 바쳐 헌신해 온 어르신들에게 감사의 인사를 전하며, “우리 역사에서 참으로 자랑스럽고 위대한 기록을 남기신 분들”이라고 말했다. 박근혜 대통령은 100세 시대를 앞두고 어르신들이 건강하고 활기차게 살아갈 수 있는 환경을 만드는 일은 국가적으로 매우 시급하고 중요한 과제가 되고 있다고 밝혔다. 그러면서 소득과 건강, 일자리와 사회참여 활동에 이르기까지 어르신의 삶을 보다 편안하고 행복하게 만들어 드리는 것이 국가의 당연한 책무라고 강조했다.

이와 관련해 박 대통령은 정부가 어르신들의 복지 정책을 확충하면서 건강한 100세 시대 기반을 착실하게 다져나가고 있다며, 추진하고 있는 복지 정책을 언급했다. 박근혜 대통령은 기초 연금제도 도입을 통해 편안한 노후 생활에 조금이라도 도움을 드리도록 하고, 사회 활동의 폭도 넓힐 수 있도록 어르신 일자리도 매년 확대해 나가고 있다고 밝혔다. 또한, 4개 중증 질환과 임플란트, 틀니에 대한 건강보험 보장도 확대해서 의료비 부담을 덜어 드려 보다 건강하게 노후 생활을 하실 수 있도록 돕고 있으며, 특히 치매 치료 지원을 적극적으로 확대해 나가고 있다고 언급했다.

Park holds luncheon with chairmen of local councils
Park invited chairmen of local councils and had a luncheon and encouraged them for their effort in liven up regional development. It has been 25 years since local councils were reintroduced and 21 years for operating local governments. Park said that local councils has contributed to raising both qualitative and quantitative regional growth and reflected the residents opinions in national policies. Park asked the chairmen to keep exerting effort in creating a better local society and communities. The central government has actively implemented the four reforms for the last one year. It has introduced salary peak system in all public institutions and created a foundation to provide more jobs for young people, internet banks, autonomous semester system in schools and customized welfare system. Park said that these reforms could only be possible with the support of local councils and governments and therefore we needed to closely work together to further carry out the reforms for the following year.

Park holds luncheon with elderly people
President Park invited retired elderly people who are still active in various fields in our society to the Blue House. 182 elderly people including volunteers and donators attended the luncheon. Thanks to them, Korea could be able to make Miracle on the Han River (world's top 10 economic power) through overcoming the Japan's colonialism and the Korean War. Park showed a gratitude and said "We are proud of you for building Korea as today." She said that it was important to make an environment for them to live healthy and long through various social activities. For this, the government introduced basic pension scheme and is widening the jobs for elderly people year by year. It also expanded the health insurance covering the 4 severe illnesses and tooth implant & artificial teeth as well as dementia.
