Hosigi Chicken donates 900 sacks of rice for opening 900th member store
Participating in Babfor and DMZ food sharing events

Chicken is one of the most popular dine-out menus in Korea. Currently, there are about 20 fried chicken brands in the market and Hosigi Chicken among them is still keeping its No.1 state as the originator of the trend ‘two chicken’ and has recently opened the 900th member store on 22nd last month. To celebrate the 900th store, Hosigi Chicken donated 900 sacks of rice to Babfor Sharing Campaign (Director Ildo Choi). Since the opening of the 700th store, Hosigi Chicken has been donating rice to the campaign every time it opens 100 more stores which normally took only a year. The more stores mean the more donations. Dail Community (managing body of Babfor Sharing Campaign) is a charity organization which gives free rice and meals to 7,000 hunger stricken people home and abroad under the slogan of ‘Until there is no poverty’. Hosigi Chicken also set up a sisterhood relationship in November last year with Dail Community Vietnam to provide a support. In addition, Hosigi Chicken participated in 2014 Ricepot Relay, 2015 Parent’s Day Free Meal and DMZ 8.15 Rice Sharing.

Hosigi Chicken is famous for win-win management. According to Korea Record Institute, it has the most family and relative-run stores which take up to 311 stores of 900. Encouraged by effective and trustworthy management system, many store owners recommend their family members or relatives to join the business. There are many of franchise businesses in Korea but only a few of them survive. The reason Hosigi Chicken made a success can be ascribed to its two management principles: ‘Excellent customer services’ and ‘Excellent store owners’. Also, Hosigi Chicken only uses quality chicken from Harim, continuously carries out R&D to introduce new taste, provides effective training to store owners and regularly promotes the brand images in order to generate steady profits.
