Cosmeceutical (medical cosmetics) is coined by esthetics specialists who have considerable amount of knowledge in product ingredients and massage & absorbing methods. Aroma and peeling products in particular require strict usage of massage direction and number & time of application. They are helpful for skin health when used correctly and they otherwise cause side effect. Also, the ingredients and instruction written on the label alone cannot provide the product’s optimum effect. Having worked in supplying cosmetics for hospital use for a year, Lee developed a program that can connect esthetics to hospitals. He said “Basically we supply skin care and beauty products but the difference is that we also provide management and training.

We have knowledge on skin’s circulation activity and combined 1:1 customized skincare to analyze and improve the skin.”Miin Medi Estics’ main products are 10 kinds including ‘CV(Spain)’, a premium essential oil aroma line that can adjust balance of hormone, ‘Magic Milk Peel’ which uses lactic acid of fermented milk, ‘Dr. Lab’ (home skincare), ‘Cosmeceutical Cleansing’ developed by Dr. Ericson (France), and ‘Ericson’ (skincare line). Especially, CV shows 80% repurchase rate for its authentic oil enfleurage (extraction of rose) used by Spanish royal family. The hospital specialized cosmetics Ericson, on the other hand, improves rare skin trouble like hemorrhagic telangiectasia which causes blush. Magic Milk Peel peels dead skin by usingprotease and it also provides whitening effect. Miin Medi Estics supplies cleansing products, basic cosmetics, massage & nutritional cosmetics and aroma & oil to 60 hospitals and 80 esthetic shops in Daejeon City and South Chungcheong Province. Lee said “Alongside supplying our products, we also send specialists to our clients explain the usage of the products through our excellent customer service.”

Currently, Lee is pushing the sales of the products to dermatology, cosmetic surgery and internal medicine and is regularly throwing parties with his staff and clients for mutual growth. Lee said “Korean cosmetics are second to none in the global cosmetics market although the fields of original technology and active ingredient are just a little bit behind. But we are working really hard to find solutions and I have a goal to launch my own cosmetics brand when things are nicely settled down.”
