The leadership coaching that leads the world
"Humanitarian leadership is the key to pioneer the global market"
CEO Sumyeong Woo of Asiacoach Center

Active and positive ideas are the core value of globalization
Most economic experts say that there lies the huge domestic market, world level technology, price competitiveness and excellent leadership behind the rapid growth of many Chinese companies. Leadership among them especially played a great role as proved by the CEOs of Alibaba and Xiaomi who are leading their companies with their unique philosophy, conviction and driving force. Their global leadership is serving as one of the core values that determines the competitiveness of the companies and the nation in the global market.

CEO Sumyeong Woo of Asiacoach Center points out that there need to be a change of the paradigm if we are to promote the Korean leadership to a global level. Woo said "Korea has run for rapid economic growth and emphasized on productivity while ignoring one's personality and rights to be respected. The absence of leadership actually came from this."

Asiacoach Center was established in 1999 by Paul Jeong who wanted to globalize the Korean leadership. With its unique coaching programs, the center trained the largest number of coaches in Korea and fostered globally certified coaches (ACC, PCC, MCC). The center is praised for providing leadership training for the top 100 enterprises, run a related subject in the master's course and changed the paradigm of the Korean leadership.

Woo said "The basics of coaching is to see the society with positive eyes. But many people are still bound to old ideas and practice. What we want to do, therefore, is to help people find their potential, possibilities and positive mind for a better now and future."

The difference between leadership coaching and consulting is that the former helps to maximize one's capability while the latter just delivers knowledge or technology. A role of coach is to encourage one's own capability and through the effective coaching programs everybody can have confidence and executive ability according to Woo.

The age that a person becomes a product
Woo said that the struggle of our modern society is the process of moving to the next level. The information oriented society is not all about the development of communication devices. We can now share information in real time, technologies are standardized and the life span of the products has become shorter. Woo said "The specification of smart phones and home appliances are becoming similar and people are more attracted by a product's brand value and the trend and culture it brings." This means that we are living in the age that the person who uses the product is more important than the product itself. In other words, the creativity, the meaning and the value it contains make people to buy the product. In accordance with this current market demand, many companies are focusing on the staff's wellbeing and encouraging one's value and future-oriented mind by using leadership coaching because it can draw a harmony between the staff and maximize the synergy effect.

Woo pointed out that Korea's industrial structure also need to be changed in this global age and the leaders must try to develop themselves to have a global level leadership, personality and capability. Woo said "The future industry will naturally be moving to people-centered software products, culture, education and leadership. If we work together and grow together with this insight, we can lead the global market over Korea and Asia." And Woo is determined to do his best to raise the Korea's global competitiveness.
