박근혜 대통령, 전국 시장·군수·구청장과의 오찬 참석
박근혜 대통령이 지역 발전을 위해 곳곳에서 헌신하고 있는 전국 시장·군수·구청장을 청와대로 초청해 오찬을 함께했다. 박 대통령은 오찬자리에서 각 지방의 발전이 골고루 이루어져서 국가 경제가 활력을 되찾도록 만드는 것이 국정운영에서 가장 중요하게 여기는 과제 중 하나라고 언급했다. 그러면서 4대 개혁을 비롯한 국가혁신과제들을 강도 높게 추진해 나갈 것이라며 기초단체장들이 적극적으로 협력해줄 것을 당부했다.

박근혜 대통령은 그동안 기초단체장들을 비롯해 많은 분들이 노력해 주신 덕분에 지방자치도 큰 발전을 이룰 수가 있었다고 언급하며 격려의 말을 전했다. 이어 주민들의 삶의 질이 개선되고 각 지역의 특성을 살려서 발전을 이뤄낼 수 있는 토대를 마련한 것이 민선 자치의 중요한 성과라고 언급했다. 박 대통령은 기초단체장들이 국정의 동반자로 지역 경쟁력 강화와 복지망 구축을 비롯한 여러 현안들에 적극 협력을 해 준 결과, 국가적으로도 많은 성취를 이뤄낼 수가 있었다며 재차 감사의 인사를 전했다.

박근혜 대통령은 기초단체장들에게 정부도 이러한 시대적 흐름에 발맞춰서 지방 주도, 중앙 지원이라는 원칙을 가지고 성숙한 지방자치 구현을 적극 지원하고 있다고 언급했다. 그중 지역발전위원회는 지역 발전과 주민 행복을 위해서 다양한 사업들을 추진하고 있고, 지방자치발전위원회는 미래지향적 관점에서 지방자치제도 개선에 각계각층의 지혜를 모으고 있다고 밝혔다.

이어 박근혜 대통령은 국정 운영에서 가장 중요하게 여기는 과제 중 하나가 각 지방의 발전이 골고루 이루어져서 국가 경제가 활력을 되찾도록 만드는 것이라고 언급했다. 그 일환으로 창조경제혁신센터를 통해 지역에 창의적 역량을 키우고, 좋은 일자리와 산업을 늘려서 자생적인 발전의 선순환 구조를 만들어가고 있다고 밝혔다. 그러면서 각 지역마다 창조경제의 기틀이 마련된다면 지방 경제의 혁신적인 발전을 가져올 것이라며, 지방자치단체장들에게 거듭 협조를 당부했다.

박근혜 대통령, ‘기업과 함께하는 일 가정 양립’ 행사 참석
일과 가정을 병행할 수 있도록 제도와 문화를 개선해 여성의 능력이 최대한 발휘할 수 있는 사회를 구현하는 것이 박근혜 정부의 핵심개혁과제 중 하나다. 일ㆍ가정 양립이야 말로 국민 행복을 위한 필수적인 과제라며 관련 정책들을 세심하게 추진해줄 것을 강조해온 박근혜 대통령이 오늘은 ‘기업과 함께하는 일ㆍ가정 양립’ 행사에 참석했다.

박 대통령은 인사말을 통해 여성 인재 활용이야말로 국가 경쟁력 강화의 기초라고 언급하며 일ㆍ가정 양립이 보다 확산될 수 있도록 기업들이 더욱 적극적으로 동참해 줄 것을 당부했다. 먼저 박근혜 대통령은 지난 70년 우리가 이룩한 놀라운 발전의 토대에는 우리 어머니들을 비롯한 많은 여성들의 희생과 헌신이 있었다며 이제 우리가 다시 한 번 도약해 나가기 위해서는 여성의 역할이 더욱 확대되고 변화되어야 한다고 언급했다. 특히 우리 사회 곳곳의 여성 인재들이 마음껏 역량을 발휘하고 여성과 남성이 동등하게 사회 발전에 참여할 때 우리가 바라는 발전과 번영을 이룰 수 있다며 여성의 역할에 대해 강조했다.

이어 박 대통령은 여성 인재 활용이야말로 국가 경쟁력 강화의 기초이자 경제 번영을 앞당기는 열쇠라고 언급하며 그 동안 정부가 추진해온 정책들을 소개했다. 박근혜 대통령은 그간 정부가 공공기관 여성임원 목표제 도입을 비롯해 여성 인재 발굴과 육성, 역량 강화를 적극 추진해 왔고 여성 고용대책과 경제활동 지원 정책도 꾸준히 강화해 왔다고 언급했다.
박근혜 대통령은 이러한 정부의 노력과 기업인들의 협력, 그리고 여성계 지도자들의 활동이 더해져 점차 가시적인 성과들이 나타나고 있다고 언급했다. 작년에 여성 고용률이 54.9%로 역대 최고치를 기록 하는 등 30대 여성 고용률도 56.3%로 역대 최고치를 기록했다고 밝히며, 아빠들의 육아 휴직자 수도 꾸준하게 증가하고 있다고 말했다. 박 대통령은 앞으로도 정부가 일ㆍ가정 양립을 위한 제도개선과 정책발굴을 적극 추진할 계획이라고 밝히며, 기업에서도 여성인재 활용과 일ㆍ가정 양립이 보다 확산될 수 있도록 더욱 적극적으로 동참해줄 것을 당부했다.

President Park invited mayors, governors and ward chiefs to the Blue House to encourage their effort in regional development. Park mentioned that balanced development was very important for economic activation of the nation. She said that she would push forward the Four Reforms and other national reform agendas and asked participants to give unsparing support. Park said that regional development would not have been possible without the heads of local governments and showed her gratitude to them for their effort in promoting local welfare systems and resident's quality of life and this has greatly contributed to the national development. She continued that the central government was actively giving a support for local governments. The Presidential Committee on Balanced National Development, in particular, was carrying out various programs for residents and the Local Government Development Committee, on the other hand, was doing their best to improve related policies and regulations. Park added that Creative Economy Innovation Centers were good examples to promote creative regional capacity through new industry and job creation and she asked the heads of local governments to work together.

One of Park Administration's core tasks is to make a social system for women to work and take care of family at the same time. Park emphasized that woman's role in a family and their own career were the core element not only to make a better society but also to strengthen national competitiveness. She said that Korea could not be where it is now without our mothers' sacrifice and devotion for the last 70 years and she asked enterprises to actively participate in the campaign so that we could increase the roles and recognition of women in our society. Park emphasized that equal opportunity was vital to national development and prosperity and for this, the government had been carrying out various policies including 'Public Institution's Female Board Member System', 'Fostering Talented Women' and 'Jobs for Women'. As a result, the rate of female employment last year rose to record 54.9% including the rate of female in their 30's to record 56.3%. In addition, more companies provide maternity leave for male employees and the number of participated companies are increasing. Park said that the government would keep improving and introducing related policies so that more and more women can keep both their career and a role in the family as well as encourage companies to participate.
