Pursuing authentic Vietnamese cuisine
Le Saigon opened its doors in 2009 as a small 29 square meter restaurant in Gyeongridan-gil, Itaewon.  Several years earlier, while studying in the United States, Hyun-gu Park became passionate about Vietnamese food, and opened Le Saigon with the goal of providing customers with tasty and healthy Vietnamese food at a reasonable price.  Currently Le Saigon is running four directly managed stores in Gyeongridan-gil, Itaewon, Times Square (Yeongdeungpo District) and Coex Mall.  

Unlike many restaurants that sell pho, Le Saigon offers a fresh and unforgettable taste.  Le Saigon minimizes the use of canned goods, preservatives, and MSG, and it does not use microwave ovens while limiting its fried menu.  Park says, “many of our customers want to taste fresh, authentic Vietnamese food.  For this reason, we offer a premium pho that has fresh lime, coriander, Vietnamese Chili, and Thai basil.  This way, we can get the authentic taste I had in the US and in Vietnam here in Le Saigon in Korea.”  In addition, Le Saigon prepares its broth daily, with a very reasonable price considering the quality of its ingredients.

Le Saigon’s menu includes traditional fare such as Banh Mi (Vietnamese sandwich), Bo Luc Lac (Vietnamese cubed steak), Pho (core menu), Spring Rolls, and Cha Gio, as well as custom creations such as grilled eggplant rolls.  Both the authentic Vietnamese cuisine and the new creations are very popular among the customers of Le Saigon.  The bread used in the restaurant is also supplied from one of the top bakeries in Korea and customers praise it as “a moment when top cuisine meets top bread.”

Jerome To, a board member of Le Saigon, used to be a member of X-Large in 2000 and a VJ of M.net but is currently working with Hyun-gu Park to promote Le Saigon as the top Vietnamese food brand in Korea and to eventually enter the global market.
