박근혜 대통령, 전남 창조경제혁신센터 출범식 참석!
창의적인 지역인재와 창업·벤처기업, 대학·연구기관 등 각 지역이 갖춘 창조경제 역량을 연계하여 지역 내 창조경제 생태계를 만들어가는 공간인 ‘창조경제혁신센터.’ 지난달 2일 풍부한 먹거리와 넉넉한 인심, 아름다운 문화유산이 어우러져 우리나라의 대표적 ‘친환경 웰빙’ 지역으로 알려진 전남 여수에서 창조경제혁신센터가 출범했다. 전남 창조경제혁신센터는 이러한 전라도의 강점을 살려 농수산·식품 분야의 벤처 창업 허브를 구축하고, 지역의 풍부한 바이오 자원을 활용해 친환경 바이오 과학 생태계를 조성할 것으로 기대가 모아진다.

박근혜 대통령은 축사를 통해 전남 창조경제혁신센터의 성장 방향을 제시했다. 가장 먼저 박 대통령은 전남 혁신센터가 ‘농수산 분야 청년벤처’를 체계적으로 육성하는 요람이 될 것이라고 강조했다. 전통적인 농어업에 ICT, 생명공학, 식품 가공기술을 결합해 생산성과 상품성을 높이고 혁신 아이디어를 더해 가치를 끌어올리게 된다면 농어업도 차세대 융합형 핵심 산업으로 도약할 것으로 기대된다.

박근혜 대통령은 전남 혁신센터가 미래비전과 기업가 정신을 갖고, 농수산 분야 벤처에 뛰어들고자 하는 청년 창업자들의 ‘창업 인큐베이팅 캠프’가 될 것이라며, 앞으로 전국 13개 농수산 유관기관을 한 데에 묶은 통합지원센터를 운영하고, 기술가치 평가와 R&D, 자금 지원과 전문가 멘토링 같은 창업 지원 서비스를 원스톱으로 제공할 계획이라고 밝혔다. 박 대통령은 센터를 떠나기에 앞서 전남 창조경제혁신센터야 말로 농수산 부문, 관광, 바이오화학에 이르기까지 벤처·중소기업들이 창업하고 성공하기에 가장 좋은 장소인 것 같다는 말과 함께 시찰을 마쳤다.

농수산 벤처창업과 웰빙관광의 요람, 친환경 바이오화학 생태계 조성으로 전남이 비상한다. 지난달 2일 전국 12번째로 전남 창조경제혁신센터가 출범했다. 박근혜 대통령은 전남 혁신센터 출범식과 시찰에 이어 ‘전남지역 창조경제 실현을 위한 산학연 오찬’에 참석했다.

박근혜 대통령은 도약과 혁신을 위해 새로운 활로 모색이 필요한 시점에 전남의 산학연이 함께 힘을 모아서 창조경제 발전을 위한 협력 생태계를 발족하고 글로벌 기업이 창업, 중소·중견기업을 본격 지원하게 된 것은 큰 의미가 있다고 말했다. 특히 전남에서 창조경제를 꽃 피우기 위해서는 기존에 전남이 가지고 있던 강점을 토대삼아 이를 새로운 방식으로 접목하려는 노력이 필요하다고 강조했다.

박 대통령은 전남이 가지고 있는 친환경 농수산업 기반위에 첨단 ICT기술을 접목해서 고부가가치화하고, 청정 자연환경을 활용한 관광 상품과 연계해서 6차 산업 발전의 전진기지로 거듭나기를 기대했다. 이어 전남의 새로운 산업으로 부상할 친환경 바이오 화학 분야에 창의적인 아이디어를 결합해서 전남에 특화된 친환경 창조경제 생태계를 구축해줄 것을 당부했다.

박근혜 대통령은 최근 세계 경제의 저성장기조와 내수부진에 대해 언급하며 새로운 성장 엔진을 찾아야 하는 엄중한 상황이라고 말했다. 이에 새로운 아이디어와 신기술을 바탕으로 새로운 부가가치와 일자리를 창출하는 창조경제가 이 같은 문제를 풀 수 있는 답이 될 수 있다고 강조했다.

박 대통령은 덴마크 아그리콘 벨리가 산학연 협력을 통해 세계적인 첨단 농업 클리스터로 성장한 것처럼 오늘 개소한 전남 창조경제혁신센터도 대기업과 지역 산학연의 역량을 결집해서 농수산 분야 벤처 창업을 활성화 하고 친환경 바이오 화학 산업을 육성하는 혁신의 거점 역할을 수행해줄 것을 당부했다.

Creative Economy Innovation Center is a Park government's project to build foundation for creative economy in pursuit of promoting start-ups and venture enterprises through industry-academic cooperation in each region. The center opened in the province is particularly specialized in using the benefits that the region provides such as abundant and variety of food and historic and cultural assets. Therefore, the center in the region will focus on building a start-up hub in the agriculture and food sectors as well as eco-friendly bio technology. 

Park said in her congratulatory speech that the center would be the cradle that can systematically foster young start-ups in the agriculture and fisheries sectors and they would create next generation fusion industry if they combine ICT, life science, food manufacturing process with innovative ideas. 

Park said that the government will introduce a total support center which will combine the 13 agriculture and fisheries related organizations nationwide and will provide one-stop services of technology, R&D, funding, mentors and start-up support. Park added that the center in the province is an ideal place to promote venture enterprises covering not only agriculture and fisheries but also tourism and bio-chemicals.

South Jeolla Province is ready to fly high by inviting venture enterprises, wellbeing industry and eco-friendly bio-chemical companies to the region. The 12th Creative Economy Innovation Center was opened in South Jeolla Province on May 2. President Park had a look around the region and attended the industry-academic luncheon after the inauguration ceremony. 

Park said that it is meaningful that the regional industry-academic cooperation is creating a foundation for creative economy and global companies are supporting SMEs. She emphasized on using regional benefits and resourcess to implement creative economy in the province. 

Park expected that the province would combine ICT technology with tour packages based on eco-friendly agricultural and marine products in order to create the 6th industry in the region. She also mentioned about promoting bio-chemistry with innovative ideas to create specialized eco-friendly economy in the region. 

Park added that we are required to find a new growth engine in this age of slow global economy and weak domestic demand. To boost our economy, Park said, we need to create added value and jobs with new ideas and technologies. 
Park took an example that Denmark's Agricon Valley became a global high-tech agricultural cluster through industry-academic cooperation and asked the center to learn from the case and apply our own ideas in working together with industries, academies and major companies.
