LG전자, 세계 최대 태양 전시회서 기술력 입증
LG전자는 지난 달 10일부터 12일까지 독일 뮌헨에서 열린 ‘인터솔라 2015(Intersolar 2015)’에서 태양광 신제품 ‘네온2(Neon2)’로 ‘인터솔라 어워드(Intersolar Award)’ 태양광부문 본상을 수상했다. ‘인터솔라 어워드(Intersolar Award)’는 ‘인터솔라 EU’가 주최하며, 태양에너지 관련 혁신적인 제품 및 프로젝트를 선정해 시상한다. 태양에너지 학계, 업계, 미디어 등 각 분야의 전문가로 구성된 심사위원단이 엄격한 심사를 통해 선정한다. 

이번에 본상을 수상한 LG전자의 ‘네온2’는 6형대(15.67㎝) N타입 웨이퍼 기준, 세계 최고 수준인 19.5%의 모듈 효율과 320W의 출력을 구현한 초고효율 프리미엄 제품이다. 기존 제품은 셀 위에 전기가 흐르는 통로가 3개였으나, ‘네온2’는 이를 12개로 대폭 늘려 모듈 출력을 향상시키고 전기적 손실은 최소화하는 신기술을 적용했다. ‘인터솔라 어워드’는 ▲태양광 ▲전기에너지 저장장치 ▲태양에너지 프로젝트의 3 부분에서 본상을 수여한다. LG전자는 2013년 ‘모노엑스네온(Mono XTM NeON)으로 아시아 태양광 모듈 업체 최초로 본상을 수상한 데 이어, 2년 만에 영광을 재현했다. 태양광 모듈로 본상을 2회 획득한 업체는 아시아에서 LG전자가 유일하다. 한편 LG전자의 태양광 모듈은 지난 4월 한국공학한림원이 선정하는 ‘2014년 한국을 빛낸 산업기술 성과’에도 이름을 올렸다. 또 ‘2013년 대한민국 10대 신기술’로 선정되는 등 세계 최고 수준의 품질과 혁신성, 친환경성을 인정받아 왔다. 

LG전자 솔라BD담당 이충호 전무는 “이번 수상으로 세계 최고 수준의 기술력 입증 받았다”라며 “초고효율 프리미엄 제품 중심으로 글로벌 태양광 시장을 이끌어 나갈 것”이라고 강조했다.

LG전자, ‘G4’ 소비자 혜택 강화
LG전자가 ‘LG G4’의 판매 순항에 힘입어 국내 소비자 혜택을 대폭 강화한다. LG전자는 천연가죽 디자인의 인기로, 핑크·오렌지 색상 천연가죽 커버를 추가 출시한다. 이로써, ‘G4’는 현재까지 국내에 천연가죽 6종(브라운, 블랙, 스카이블루, 레드, 핑크, 오렌지)과 3D패턴 2종(메탈릭그레이, 세라믹화이트)이 출시됐다. 또, LG전자는 오는 25일부터 ‘G4’의 후면커버 8종을 별도로 판매한다. LG전자 서비스센터(포장없음. 42,000원)와 온·오프라인 채널(포장있음. 44,000원)에서 구매 가능하고, 소비자가 손쉽게 스마트폰 디자인을 바꿔 패션 아이템으로 즐길 수 있게 했다. ‘G4’를 구매한 소비자는 1년 무상 액정교체 또는 추가 후면커버를 선택할 수 있는 ‘더블케어 프로그램’에 대해 큰 만족감을 표시했다. LG전자는 이에힘입어 ‘더블케어 프로그램’을 오는 30일까지 한 달 연장 실시할 계획이다. LG전자는 ‘G4’에 선 탑재한 ‘기프트팩’ 앱에도 혜택을 강화할 예정이다. ‘기프트팩’은 LG전자가 업계 최초로 시도하는 선 탑재 이벤트 앱으로서, 매일 게임, 퀴즈, 설문조사 등 콘텐츠를 제공하고 푸짐한 경품도 준다. 자체 조사 결과, ‘G4’를 구매한 고객의 약 80% 이상이 ‘기프트팩’에 일 평균 2.8회 방문했고, 이는 ‘날씨’, ‘계산기’ 등의 앱보다 사용빈도가 높았다. 이벤트 내용은 웹페이지(http://lgg4doublecare.com/event/index.asp)에서 확인 가능하다. LG전자 MC사업본부 MC한국영업FD 조성하 부사장은 “‘G4’에 대한 고객들의 관심에 보답하고자 소비자 혜택을 더욱 강화하게 됐다”라며, “소비자에게 실질적인 혜택과 즐거움을 줄 수 있는 이색적인 마케팅을 지속 실시할 것”이라고 강조했다.

LG Electronics won Intersolar Award with its new solar light product 'Neon2' at 2015 Intersolar held at Munich, Germany from June 10 to 12. Intersolar Award is managed by Intersolar EU and it awards for those who make innovative solar light products through strict screening by specialists in the field. 

Based on 15.67cm N Type Wafer, LG Electronics' Neon2 realizes the word's best 19.5% module effect with 320W output. If existing products have 3 electricity pathways on the cell, Neon2 boasts 12 of them to increase module output while minimizing the lost of electricity. Intersolar Award gives prizes in three sectors: Solar Light, Electric Power Saving Equipments and Solar Energy Project. LG Electronics actually won a main prize with 'Mono XTM NeOn' in 2013 and this award is the second time after 2 years. LG is the only company in Asia which won the award twice. LG's solar light module also listed its name in '2014 Korean Industrial Technology Products' managed by National Academy of Engineering of Korea in April. It was also chosen for '2013 Korea New Technology'. Director Lee Chung-ho of LG Electronics' Solar BD said "our global level technology has been proved one more time by wining the award. We will lead the global solar light market with our high efficiency premium products."

LG Electronics, giving various benefits to customers
LG Electronics is strengthening benefits to their customers in respond to steady sales of LG G4. In addition to its sensational natural leather color cover, LG is releasing pink and orange. As a result, LG G4 has 6 leather covers (brown, black, sky blue, red, pink and orange) and 2 of 3D pattern (metallic gray and ceramic white). They also plan to release 8 kinds of back covers on July 25. You can buy it at LG Electronics Service Center (no package, $42) and at on/off line shopping malls (with package, $44) and you can also design your own smart phone with various options to choose. Those who bought G4 showed their satisfaction on LG's 'Double Care Program' which provides free change of screen and back cover for 1 year. Also, LG is extending the care program until July 30. In addition, they are giving benefits on pre-loaded 'Gift Pack App' on G4 which is first time in the industry and you can enjoy games, quiz and survey as well as free gifts. More than 80%, who bought G4,  visited the app by average 2.8 times a day and this rate is bigger than other apps such as weather and calculator.
