현대자동차, 상용차 고객 대상 특별 점검 서비스 실시
현대자동차㈜가 상용차(버스 및 트럭) 고객을 대상으로 상용차의 이용이 많은 고속도로 휴게소로 직접 찾아가 차량을 점검하는 ‘찾아가는 비포서비스’와 함께 유로6 배기가스 규제를 만족한 신 차종들에 대한 특화 서비스를 펼쳤다. 현대차는 지난 달 경부고속도로 상행선 신탄진 화물휴게소에 현대모비스를 비롯한 협력업체들과 함께 750㎡(약 227평) 규모의 특별 점검 서비스 부스(Booth)를 마련해 ▲각종 오일, 퓨즈, 램프 등 소모성 부품 교체 및 충전 ▲차량 성능 유지를 위한 경정비 ▲특장차 장비 점검 서비스 등을 제공 했다. 뿐만 아니라 ▲유지비 절감을 위한 자가정비 관련 설명은 물론, ▲중대형 상용차 고객들에게 특화된 금융 프로그램 관련 상담 ▲고객 참여 경품 이벤트 등 다양한 프로그램을 마련했다. 

특히 이번 비포서비스로 야간·장거리 운전이 많은 상용차 고객들을 위한 무료 건강 검진 서비스를 제공해 고객 만족도를 더욱 높일 계획이다. 또한 현대차는 올해 1월부터 국내에도 적용되고 있는 유로6 배출가스 규제에 맞춰 친환경 첨단 기술이 적용된 유니버스 등 새로운 엔진을 적용한 등 차들을 잇따라 출시하고 있으며, 올해 상반기 중으로 모든 상용차 라인업을 유로6 기준에 맞춰 새로이 선보일 것이다. 이와 함께 유로6 기준을 충족한 신규 엔진이 적용된 차량들을 대상으로 기존 유로5적용 엔진 대비 달라진 차량 관리 방법 등 필수 정보를 제공하고 각 차량별 전담 서비스 인력을 편성해 초기 품질 관리에 적극 대응할 수 있는 시스템을 구축한다. 현대차 관계자는 “올해부터 적용되는 강화된 배출가스 규제 기준인 유로6를 만족하는 차량이 본격적으로 출고되기 시작했다”며 “향후 유로6 적용 차종에 특화된 정비 서비스를 비롯해 상용차 고객들에게 맞춤형 서비스를 제공해 고객 만족도를 더욱 높여나가겠다”고 밝혔다. 

현대차 ‘디스플레이 오디오’ 시스템, 2015 CES서 수상 쾌거
 ‘2015 국제전자제품박람회’에서 현대차의 IT 기술력이 높이 인정받았다. 현대자동차(주)의 ‘디스플레이 오디오’ 시스템이 미국 라스베가스에서 열린 2015 CES에서 유력 언론사들이 뽑는 ‘편집장의 선택상(Editors’ Choice Award)'을 수상했다. ‘편집장의 선택상’은 CES의 공식 언론사이자 유에스에이투데이(USA TODAY)의 자회사인 리뷰드 닷컴(Reviewed.com)이 미국 주요 언론사의 편집장들과 함께 이번 박람회에 전시된 IT 기술들 중 기술력, 디자인, 가치 등을 종합적으로 평가해 선정하는 상이다. 현대차가 이번 박람회에서 전시한 ‘디스플레이 오디오’는 7인치 터치스크린으로 구성된 멀티미디어 시스템으로, 블루링크 탑재는 물론 스마트폰의 카플레이(애플)나 안드로이드 오토(구글)를 연결하면 내비게이션, 음악듣기, 전화연결, 메시지 보내기등 각종 스마트폰의 기능을 사용할 수 있도록 한 기술이다. 

특히 차량용 오디오 기반의 기술임에도 각종 스마트 기기와의 연결성을 활용할 수 있어 추후 이 기술이 상용화될 경우 상대적으로 낮은 가격으로 운전자들에게 다양한 혜택을 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 이번 박람회에서 ‘편집장의 선택상’을 수상한 기술은 총 48개로, 이중 자동차 업체가 받은 것은 현대차를 비롯해 3개(포드 싱크 3, 폭스바겐 MIB II)에 불과해 그 의미를 더했다. 현대차 미국법인 마이크 오브리언(Mike O'Brien) 부사장은 “디스플레이 오디오 시스템이 CES의 수많은 첨단 기술들을 제치고 수상하게 돼 기쁘다”며 “이 시스템을 통해 더 많은 고객들에게 카플레이와 안드로이드 오토의 혁신적인 기술을 쉽게 이용할 수 있게 할 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다. 

Hyundai Motors, launching special check up service for Ssangyong Motor customers
Hyundai Motors gave a special check up service and 'Itinerant Before Service' on highway rest areas for Ssangyong Motor (bus and truck) users and Euro 6 Emission Control-satisfied customers. Hyundai, in cooperation with Hyundai Mobis and affiliated business, built a booth (750㎡) at Sintanjin Cargo Rest Area and provided services such as charging and changing oil, fuse and lamp, a light check-up on performance of the car, and a special equipment check up for special vehicles. They also provided an advice on self-check to reduce maintenance cost, a special financial consulting for Ssangyong Motor users and free gift events. They are also planning to provide a free health check up for them who frequently have to do a long distance nighttime driving through Before Service to raise the customer satisfaction. Meanwhile, Hyundai Motors are releasing cars including the Unibus  loaded with the eco-friendly cutting edge technology in accordance with Euro 6 Emission Control, introduced to Korea since last January, and will introduce all Ssangyong Motor line up according to the control within the first half year. They will also build a system to provide the information on new regulation and maintenance methods for them, and will organize special service teams to implement the quality management effectively. An official of Hyundai Motors said "we will raise the customer satisfaction of Ssangyong Motor users through customized services specialized on Euro 6 Emission Control-applied vehicles."

Hyundai Motors' 'Display Audio System' wins an award at 2015 CES 
Hyundai Motors' IT technology was recognized at 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), held in Las Vegas, US, and won 'Editors' Choice Award' which is the award given by Reviewed.com (official press and affiliate of USA TODAY) to the winners, judged based on technical ability, design and value. The 'Display Audio', which Hyundai introduced, is a multi media system consisted of a 7 inch touch screen, loaded with Blue Link, and can be linked with Car Play App (Apple) and Android Auto (Google) to use smart phone functions such as listening to music, talking on the phone and sending messages. If this technology is commercialized, the drivers are expected to benefit from various advantages at a comparatively low price. 48 technologies in total won Editors Choice Award in the event and only three car companies (Hyundai Motors, Ford Sync 3, Volkswagen MIB II) won the award. The Vice-Chairman of Hyundai US Corporate Mike O'Brien said "I'm glad that our Display Audio System won the award by beating out numerous other cutting-edge technologies at CES. We are expecting that more drivers can easily use the innovative technologies of Car Play and Android Auto through our Display Audio System."
