김희정 여성가족부 장관, 한국노총 방문 및 간담회 개최

김희정 여성가족부 장관은 지난 달 19일 오후 2시 한국노총을 방문하여 일․가정 양립을 위한 현장의 목소리를 듣고, 한국노총과 협력사항을 논의했다. 
이번 간담회는 정부에서 마련한 일․가정 양립 정책들이 실제 현장에서 제대로 작동하고 있는지, 애로사항은 없는지를 점검하고 개선방안 등을 논의하기 위해 마련되었다. 

김 장관은 “정책은 잘 만드는 것도 중요하지만, 잘 활용하는 것이 더 중요하다. 실제 정책을 이용하는 근로자의 목소리를 듣고자 한다”라고 말하며, “정부의 정책적 노력이 현장에서부터 살아 움직일 수 있도록 한국노총 등 현장에 계신분들과 함께 적극적으로 협업하겠다”라고 강조했다. 아울러, 한국노총에 남녀 근로자 모두의 일․가정 양립을 위해 적극적인 관심과 협조를 요청하였다.

‘2015년 청소년지도자 신년교례회’ 성황리에 열려
한국청소년단체협의회가 여성가족부의 후원으로 지난 달 14일 오후 3시 국제청소년센터에서 ‘2015년 청소년지도자 신년교례회’를 김희정 여성가족부 장관, 남인순, 강은희 국회의원, 함종한 한국청소년단체협의회장, 청소년기관·단체장, 청소년지도자, 청소년 등 250명이 참석한 가운데 성황리에 열었다. 

청소년의 새해희망과 청소년지도자에게 바라는 내용이 담긴 영상이 상영되었고 함종한 회장의 개회사, 김희정 장관의 신년인사, 남인순, 강은희 국회의원의 축사가 이어졌다. 
이후 청소년지도자들의 청소년이 행복한 세상을 만들기 위한 결의선포와 함께, ‘청소년 대박 터트리기’, ‘종이비행기 날리기’ 퍼포먼스가 진행되었다. 신년교례회는 전국의 청소년지도자들이 한자리에 모여 새해 포부를 다짐하고 청소년들의 행복과 청소년계의 발전방향을 모색하는 자리로 마무리 되었다. 

청소년수련시설 점검 결과 공개 의무화
여성가족부(장관 김희정)는 지난달 12일 청소년수련시설의 안전점검 결과 공개를 의무화하는 「청소년활동 진흥법」개정안이 국회 본회의를 통과하여 공포 후 6개월 이후부터 시행된다고 밝혔다. 수련시설 종합 안전점검 결과를 감독기관으로 하여금 공개하도록 하여 청소년수련시설 이용자의 알 권리가 보장되고, 청소년과 부모들이 안심하고 청소년 수련활동에 참여할 수 있는 여건이 한층 강화될 것으로 기대된다.

또한, 청소년수련활동 인증위원회* 위원에 청소년활동의 안전에 필요한 전문자격이나 지식을 가진 위원이 포함되도록 하여 인증 받은 청소년 수련 활동 프로그램의 안전성을 자세히 심사할 수 있게 된다. 

청소년수련활동인증제도는 청소년의 균형 있는 성장에 기여하고자 국가가 청소년수련활동을 인증하고, 참여청소년의 활동기록을 유지･관리하여 제공하는 제도로 인증위원회가 인증 기준 제정, 인증 심의 등 운영을 담당한다.

한편, 여성가족부는 올해 4월중에 청소년 수련시설과 청소년활동의 안전관리를 전담할 ‘청소년활동안전센터’를 신설하여 안전점검을 한층 강화하고 안전이 확인된 다양한 활동 정보를 제공할 계획이다.

Kim visits Federation of Korean Trade Unions and holds a meeting
Heejung Kim, the Minister of Gender Equality & Family, visited Federation of Korean Trade Unions and discussed on cooperation matters on 19 last month. 
The meeting was to check whether the government's 'work-family balance policy' is being implemented in reality and its improvement plans. 

Kim said "making policy well is important but more so is to use it well. I want to hear from the workers who actually use the system. I will do my best to put the government policies into practice in cooperation with Federation of Korean Trade Unions." Kim also asked the Unions to actively implement the work-family balance policy.

'2015 Youth Leaders New Year Ceremony' successfully held
National Council of Youth Organizations in Korea, supported by the Ministry of Gender Equality & Family, held '2015 Youth Leaders New Year Ceremony' on 14 last month at International Youth Center, participated by 250 people including the Minister Heejung Kim, the lawmakers Insoon Nam and Eunhee Kang, the chairman of the organization Jonghan Ham, the heads of youth organizations, youth leaders and young people. 

The opening speech by Ham, new year speech by the Minister, and congratulatory speeches by the lawmakers were followed by the video images of the youth's new year's hope and wish which were shown on the screen. 
Also followed were the youth leaders' 'declaration of determination' to make a better world, 'youth jackpot projects' and 'paper airplane flight performance'. The event was closed with the resolutions of the participants alongside the measures for the development direction of youth's happiness. 

Checkup on youth training centers to be mandatory
Heejung Kim, the Minister of Gender Equality & Family, said on 12 last month that 'Act on the Promotion of Youth Activities' was passed the Assembly plenary session and it will be implemented after 6 months of its proclamation. It act forces the supervisory agency to disclose the checkup on youth training centers so that the user's right to know should be guaranteed. As a result, more safe conditions are to be provided for students and parents. 

Also, the accrediting committee has to include the specialists who have professional knowledges regarding the safety of youth activities as members of the committee so that they can systematically assess the related programmes. 
The Youth Training Activity Accreditation System enables the government to approve youth training activities and to maintain and manage their activity record. For this, the committee will take the duty to make the standard and accredit the relevant organizations. 

Meanwhile, the Ministry is planning to launch 'Youth Activity Safety Center' by April in order to manage the training activities and facilities, and to strengthen the safety inspection and provide a variety of activity information.
