[Hot Place] Hanmadang Jokbal N Gukbap / CEO Sungsu Na
Family-run restaurant 'Hanmadang (big garden) Jokbal (pork hock) N Gukbap (Rice Soup)'
Constant stream of visitors thanks to their neat interior and menus

Jokbal is a popular Korean food for late-night snack. It is known to be rich in gelatin which is good for skin and anti-aging, and methionine which is good for liver. Because people from all ages love Jokbal, there are many jokbal restaurants in Korea and new concept jokbal restaurants are targeting the young generation. Among these competition, a family-run jokbal restaurant is the talk of the town. Korea's top bilingual magazine Power Kore has met Sungsu Na, the CEO of Jokbal N Gukbap in Apgujeong-dong, Seoul.

Neat interior and excellent service
Apgujeong Hanmadang Jokbal N Gukbap boasts its fresh domestic ingredients and state of the art interior that considered the movement of customers. The son in law who is running an interior firm did the work himself and you can feel the neat ambiance when you step into the restaurant. It is the strategy to attract young customers between 20s and 40s. You might feel as if you are in a cafe rather than a restaurant. The restaurant is particularly popular among woman customers as they provide gukbap (rice soup) for lunch and jokbal for dinner in clean and neat taste.

Na considered meat broth, Kimchi and seasoning for the secrets of their clean and neat taste. If many jokbal restaurants prefer strong and spicy taste, Hanmadang Jokbal N Gukbap guarantees a mother-made like taste which Na's wife actually makes meat broth and all other side dishes herself while other members of the family are giving excellent customer services in the front house.
Na says "I myself remove the blood of meat and my wife boils it.

The concept is to make the meat broth and Kimchi by only using domestic ingredients like jutgal (pickled fish) comes from Sinan County and Kimchi and spiced onions are made by my wife at home. Despite we only do gukbap for lunch, there are no seats."

Blowing a new wind in the food industry with unique menu and good price
The unique menu is another good point of Hanmadang Jokbal N Gukbap. The most unique is 'Yangpa (onion) Jokbal' which Na happened to know when he went to Gwangju city. It is the city's local specialty and you can experience the taste only in three places nationwide with only Hanmadang Jokbal N Gukbap in Seoul. The smoked onion keeps its clean taste of oily pig's feet which even reduces the cholesterol rate. In addition, Hanmadang Jokbal N Gukbap keeps the lowest price in Gangnam area so that customers can enjoy tasty jokbal at a reasonable price.

Na says "we eat food with eye and nose before mouth. Our competitiveness is our mother-made taste and that's why people love us." Power Korea supports Na and his family who are bringing a new wind in the food industry.
