주식투자 컨설팅 방송으로 유명한 ‘세계로 TV’ 김원기 대표의 VIP 무료 주식 강연회가 지난달 23일(일) 서울 광장동 워커힐 호텔 컨벤션센터 3층 코스모스홀에서 열렸다. 김 대표는 2년 전부터 주 1회 서울 공덕동에 위치한 한국사회복지회관에서 주식 강연회를 무료로 개최하고 있다. 이번 강연은 특별히 연말을 맞아 VIP 강연으로 개최되었고, 이번 행사 역시 선착순 200명 대상 무료 강연으로 기획되었다. 입장이 시작되는 한 시간 전부터 홀 앞은 문전성시를 이뤘고 김 대표는 행사장을 꽉 채운 400여 명의 청중들에게 열의 넘치는 강연으로 보답했다. 코미디언 김종국씨의 사회로 진행된 이번 강연은 금란, 퓨전국악 황진이, 코미디빅리그 개그맨 등 많은 연예인들이 참석해 눈길을 끌었다.

‘100년 만에 온 제약 바이오장’ 열띤 강연 마쳐

시진핑 시대 ‘신창타이(新常態)’ 정책에 영향 받는 증권시장 분석

이번 VIP 특강의 주제는 ‘100년 만에 온 제약 바이오장’이었다. 김 대표는 전 세계를 휩쓸고 있는 에볼라 광풍에 집중했다. 작년 12월에 발병해 아프리카 일부 지역에서 확산되기 시작한 에볼라 바이러스는 사망률이 약 60%에 이르는 급성 열성감염 바이러스종이다. 6월부터 급격한 확산 세를 띠기 시작한 에볼라 바이러스는 8월에만 2,000명 이상을 발병시키며 역사상 최대 규모의 감염으로 불명예스러운 기록을 남기게 되었다. 미국, 러시아, 중국 등이 아프리카 지역에 의료진을 파견하고 있으며, 지난달 중순 인도에서도 에볼라 양성 반응 환자가 나오는 등 최악의 전염병은 멈출 기세를 보이지 않고 있다. 전 세계적으로 에볼라의 공포가 확산되고 있는 지금 증권시장에서는 바이오와 제약 부문에 대한 투자가 집중되고 있다는 것이다. 김 대표는 시장의 또 다른 변수로 ‘중국’을 꼽았다. 덩샤오핑의 개혁개방 시대가 본격적으로 마무리되고 중국은 시진핑 체제 하에서 더욱 심화된 개혁을 추진하게 되었다. 10% 전후의 고속 성장시대를 마무리하고 7~8%의 중고속 성장으로 이행하면서 산업 구조를 제조업 중심에서 서비스업 중심으로 변화시켜 나가는 중국판 뉴노멀 정책인 ‘신창타이(新常態)’ 정책에 따라 중국 경제에도 신성장 산업의 바람이 불고 있다는 것이다. 김 대표는 풍력?태양광 등 신에너지 산업, 희토류?형상합금기억장치 등 신소재 산업, 생명산업?줄기세포 등 바이오 산업, 우주항공?고속철도 등의 첨단장비 산업 등의 대두로 인해 국제적인 증시 역시 이러한 종목들이 앞으로 더욱 주목받을 것임을 이야기했다.

김 대표의 행보가 특별히 관심을 끄는 것은 ‘나눔’의 정신 때문이기도 하다. 이번 VIP 강연회의 축하 화환은 쌀 화환으로 받아 전량 불우이웃 돕기에 사용되었는데, 증권 강연회 무료 개최와 같이 주변의 이웃들에게 나눔을 실천하고자 하는 김 대표의 뜻에 따른 것이었다. 한편, 김 대표는 지난달 7일 서울 합정동에서 마포구 일대 어르신 100여분을 초청해 삼계탕 식사를 대접하고 고급 이불을 증정하는 ‘나눔사랑잔치’를 가지기도 했다.

김 대표는 이날 행사에서 “100수(壽) 시대를 맞아 독거노인 분들이 점차 늘어나고 있다. 우리 사회에서 소외받고 있는 이 분들에 대한 마음을 표현하고 싶었다”는 말을 전했다. 이 날 행사에 초청된 어르신들은 삼삼오오 모여 따뜻한 삼계탕을 먹는 시간을 갖게 된 것에 한껏 기뻐하며 김 대표에게 고마운 마음을 전했다.

김 대표는 공덕동의 강연에서도 매주 회원들의 성금을 모아 이웃을 돕는 데에 이바지하고, ‘나눔장학회’를 설립해 학비 나눔을 실천하고 있다. 또 유니세프 아동 돕기 자선전시회, 밥퍼나눔운동본부 전시회 후원, 보육원 사랑의 후원 등의 프로그램으로 소외계층에게 따뜻한 손길을 이어가고 있다. 김 대표의 뜻에 공감한 세계로 TV 회원들은 주식 투자로 얻은 수익금의 일부를 기부하기도 하면서 ‘나누며 사는 사회’의 소중함을 마음속에 새기고 있다. 김 대표의 무료 주식 강연회는  기존 시간대보다 두 시간 앞당겨진 12시부터 3시까지 같은 장소인 공덕역 한국사회복지회관에서 매주 토요일 개최되고 있으며, 내년에도 김 대표는 주식 강연과 나눔 행보를 통해 사회 곳곳에서 도움을 필요로 하는 이들에게 믿고 기댈 수 있는 튼튼한 버팀목이 되어줄 예정이다.

The CEO of Segero TV Wonki Kim held a free VIP Lecture on Stock Market at  Walkerhill Hotel in Gwangjang-dong, Seoul on 23 last month. Kim has been holding a free lecture on stock market once a week since 2013 at the Korea Social Welfare Center in Gongdeok-dong, Seoul. The lecture this time was held as the year end VIP event for 200 people in the order of arrival. But the event attracted a mass of people one hour before the lecture and 400 people eventually were allowed to enter the hall. A comedian Jongkook Kim hosted the event and various entertainers including Kumnan, Fusion Gukak Hwang Jin-i and Comedy Big League comedians were invited to add excitement.

Analysing the stock market affected by Xi's 'Chinese New Normal'

The subject of the lecture was 'Pharmaceutical Biotechnology Market in 100 Years'. Kim focused on ebola gale that is weeping across the globe. Started from Africa last December, ebola is spreading to the world with its 60% fatality rate. 2,000 people were infected in August alone and left a dishonorable record with the largest scale of infection in history. Despite many countries including US, Russia and China are sending medical teams to Africa, the cases are being reported even in India and there is no sign of the plague stopping. Naturally, investment in bio and pharmaceuticals is increasing. Kim pointed out that China is another variable in the stock market. Deng Xiaoping's reform and opening up of China's economy has finished and Xi Jinping is deepening their innovation. China is moving from 10% yearly economic growth based on the manufacturing industry to the service industry with steady 7% to 8% economic growth through Chinese New Normal. Kim predicted that the new energy industry such as wind power and sunlight generation, the new material industry such as rare earth resources and shape memory alloy, the bio industry such as stem cell and the advanced equipment industry such as space aviation and high-speed railroad will be the blue chip stock in the future. Based on his new value investment, Kim opened his analysis record of recommended pharmaceuticals and bio stock to the audience. Kim has been analysing and encouraging the investors through his new value investment.

New value investment is to see the possibility

Releasing stock related books and a self-development book 'Ulim(resonance)'

Kim's brainchild 'new value investment' is to analyse the elements of dividend and purchase based on technical analysis. Currently, the unstable market caused by  the phenomenon of weak Yen and earning-shock is spreading and Kim's new value investment is therefore recognized as a safe and trustworthy investment method. The existing methods are to purchase and keep until the price goes up or to purchase day-trading in order to make profits but Kim's new value investment is a method to predict the market price and situation to make profits. 

Value investment is a long verified method but the verification on over evaluated and low evaluated stocks are not clear and the fluctuation of earning rate is large. But Kim's new value investment predicts the possibility of the market growth quickly and makes dividend and profits at the same time.

Kim has been awarded '2013 & 2014 Korea Future Management Awards', 'Korea People Awards', and 'Korea Customer Service Leading Brands Awards'. Kim wrote various books such as <$10m Investment Lesson>, <Catching up Stock Investment in 30 Days>, and <Final Book of Stock> including Kyobo Books and Yes24's bestseller <People Who Made Fortune by New Value Investing> and self-improvement book <Ulim>.

Supporting exhibitions and running Nanum Scholorship

Kim is not only popular for his new value investment but also for his community service(Nanum). Instead of receiving congratulatory flowers for his free VIP Lecture on Stock Market, Kim asked them to give him rice so that he can help unfortunate neighbors. Kim also invited 100 senior citizens in Hapjeong-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul and provided Samgyetang(chicken soup with ginseng) and luxury duvet. Kim said that there are many elderly people who are living alone and he would like to express his heart to them. The invited elderly people thanked Kim and for the gifts and they enjoyed the food. 

Kim is also running Nanum Scholorship and supporting UNICEF, Rice Sharing Movement Headquarters  Exhibitions, and Orphanage Loving. The members of Segero TV empathized with Kim's good will and are donating part of their profits for the underprivileged. Kim's free lecture on stock market is held every Saturday from 12pm to 3pm at the Korea Social Welfare Center in Gongdeok-dong, Seoul. Kim said that he will do his best to help those who are in need through lectures on stock market and community service.
