제 13차 세계한상대회, 내외동포 경제인 협력 통한 상생 약속하며 성공리에 폐막

- 40개국 3천명 참가, 지역별·업종별·분야별 맞춤형 네트워킹 진행

- 기업전시회 및 일대일비즈니스미팅 등에서 총 6,588건의 상담 진행돼 글로벌 마켓 플레이스의 면모 확실히 갖춰

‘새 시대 경제도약의 동반자, 한상네트워크!’란 슬로건 아래 제13차 세계한상대회가 지난 24일부터 사흘간 부산광역시 벡스코에서 개최되었다. 개회식에는 정홍원 국무총리를 비롯해 조규형 재외동포재단 이사장, 서병수 부산광역시 시장, 조태열 외교부 제2차관과 박종범 대회장 등 주요 인사를 비롯해 해외 한상과 국내 경제인 등 2,000여명이 참석했다. 26일 폐막식은 내외동포 경제인간 협력관계를 통한 상생을 약속하는 뜻깊은 자리가 되었다. 특히, 이번 대회는 실질적인 비즈니스 성과 창출을 위한 다양한 시도가 돋보였다는 평가를 받았다.

이번 한상대회는 개최 전부터 참가자들의 면면으로 높은 주목을 받았다. 특히, 해외에서  미국 듀라코트 홍명기 회장과 레이니어 그룹 홍성은 회장, 일본 마루한 한창우 회장등 글로벌 거상부터 미래 한상 네트워크를 책임질 차세대 한상까지 신구한상이 한자리에 모였으며, 미국을 비롯한 중국, 일본 등 기존 다수의 동포가 거주하는 곳부터 아프리카 등 오지까지 다양한 지역에서 참석했다.

차세대 한상들의 네트워크 구축을 위한 영비즈니스리더포럼에는 기존 영비즈니스리더네트워크(YBLN) 회원 101명과 신규참가자 37명 등 총 138명이 참가했다. 건설 플랜트 관련업종을 운영하고 있는 ‘준 타일랜드’ 이상준 대표(태국)와 뉴욕의 프로즌 요거트 프랜차이즈 브랜드 ‘16헨델스’ 최현덕 대표(미국), 우즈베키스탄 식품 수입 및 유통업체 ‘오즈시티센터’ 주콘스탄틴 대표(우즈벡) 등 다양한 사업 분야의 차세대 한상들이 처음으로 참가했다.

이번 대회에서 비즈니스 프로그램을 통해 6,588건의 상담(기업전시회 5,981건, 일대일 비즈니스 미팅 607건)이 이뤄져, 약 1억 7천 만 달러의 상담실적을 기록했다. 기업전시회에서는 440개 기업 및 기관에서 참여해, 502개 부스가 설치돼 전년 대비 약 50개가 늘어난 규모로 구성됐다. 특히 ▲개성공단공동관 ▲부산특별산업관 ▲한상특별관 등 테마형 부스 구성을 통해 다양한 관심분야를 가진 참가자들의 발길이 끊임없이 이어졌다.

더불어 ▲한상과의 일대일 비즈니스 미팅 ▲대형 유통업체 MD 초청 상담회 ▲소모성 자재 납품(MRO) 구매상담회 ▲국내 유통밴더 초청 상담회 ▲수출 에이전트 초청 상담회 등 기업전시회 비즈니스 상담회에 국내외 바이어 170여명이 참석해 총 1,443건의 상담을 진행했다.

대회 참가자들의 만족도가 높은 일대일 비즈니스 미팅은 한상넷을 활용한 사전매칭을 통해 수요를 정확하게 예측한 맞춤형 상담이 진행됐다는 평가를 받았다. 더불어 미국, 영국, 베트남, 싱가포르, 일본, 중국, 호주 등 10개국 41개 해외 바이어가 상담에 참여해 일대일 비즈니스 미팅 상담장에 열기를 더했다. 또, 미국워싱턴주한인상공회의소와 미주한인상공회의소, 상해한인상회 등 한상단체 간, 한상단체와 부산상공회의소 간 우호협력 5건이 이뤄졌다. 

올해 대회에서는 신규 참가자들의 활약도 돋보였다. 신규 리딩CEO로서 처음 한상대회를 찾은 임도재 글로텍 엔지니어링 회장은 아프리카 지역 유일한 참가자로, 25일 열린 세션Ⅱ<지역별 한상포럼> 패널로 참석했고, 송창근 KMK 글로벌 스포츠 그룹 회장은 동남아 한상포럼 패널로 참석해 네트워킹 활성화 방안에 대한 심도깊은 논의를 펼쳤다.

아울러, 차세대 한상들은 대회 개막 전 날인 23일 ‘네트워크 소그룹’모임을 시작으로 ▲정기총회 ▲대륙별 회의 ▲주제별 소그룹 ▲전체회의 등 대회 전일에 걸쳐 모임을 갖고, 리딩한상비즈니스미팅에도 적극적으로 나서 국내 중소기업과의 비즈니스 미팅에도 한층 주도적인 모습을 보였다.

26일 오전에는 <한상비즈니스서밋>과 <리딩한상 비즈니스미팅>, <영비즈니리더 전체 회의>가 진행됐으며, 한상들은 마지막까지 전시회장을 찾아 비즈니스 상담을 진행하는 등 열정적인 모습을 보였다. 낮 12시부터 진행된 폐막식은 차기 대회 개최지인 경상북도에 한상기를 전달하며 모든 대회의 일정을 마쳤다.

조규형 재외동포재단 이사장은 폐회사에서 “한상과 국내 경제인들의 뜨거운 열정 덕분에 어느 해보다 실속있는 대회였다”고 평가하며, “내외동포 경제인들이 상호발전을 위한 노력이 실질적인 성과로 이어질 것으로 굳게 믿는다”고 말했다.

한편, 차기 대회는 2015년 10월 13일부터 15일까지, 경상북도 경주시 하이코(HICO·경주화백컨벤션센터)에서 개최될 예정이다.

The 13th World Korean Business Convention was held for 4 days from 24 last month at Bexco in Busan under the slogan of 'Global New Market: Hansang Network'. The opening ceremony was participated by 2,000 domestic and overseas Korean businessmen including the prime minister Hongwon Geong, the chairman of Overseas Koreans Foundation Kyuhyung Jo, the mayor of Busan Byeongsu Seo, the 2nd vice minister of Foreign Affairs Taeyeol Jo, and the chairman of the convention Geongbum Park. The closing ceremony on 26 became an auspicious occasion by promising a coexistence through cooperation between businessmen and fellow countrymen. Especially, this year's convention received a good feedback as it tried various events to achieve tangible results.

The convention came into the spotlight even before it actually started due to the expected participants. From the global magnates to the next generations, including the CEO of Dura Coat Myungki Hong and the CEO of Rainier Group Sungun Hong(US), and the CEO of Maruhan Changwoo Han(Japan) all gathered together at the convention. The Young Business Leader Forum, whose purpose is to build a network for the next generation of Korean businessmen, was participated by 138 people from 101 members of Young Business Leader Network and 37 new participants. The CEO of Jun Thailand Sangjun Lee, the CEO of 16 Hendels Hyunduk Choi(US), and the CEO of Ozcitycenter Ju Constantine participated in the convention for the first time. 6,588(5,981 business exhibitions and 607 one on one meetings) counseling were proceeded through business programmes and achieved $170m worth counsel results. The business exhibitions were participated by 440 businesses and organizations, and 502 booths(50 more than last year) were installed. Especially, ▲Gaeseong Industrial Complex Hall ▲Busan Special Industry Hall ▲Hansang Speical Hall attracted many participants. In addition, the business exhibition counseling was participated by 170 domestic buyers and proceeded 1,443 counseling including ▲Hasang One on One Business Meeting ▲Major Distribution Companies MD Meetings ▲MRO Buying Counseling ▲Domestic Distribution Vendor Meeting ▲Export Agent Meeting.

The one on one business meeting was praised for proceeding customized counseling which predicted its demands correctly through Hansang Network's prior matching. 41 foreign buyers from 10 countries including US, UK, Vietnam, Singapore, Japan, China, and Australia participated in the meeting to add more heats. Also, 5 MOUs were signed between Korean-American Chamber of Commerce in Washington, Korean-American Chamber of Commerce USA, Korean Firms in Shanghai, and Busan Chamber of Commerce. 

The participants' activities also stood out at the convention. The CEO of Glotech Engineering Dojae Im was a new leading CEO and the sole participant from Africa and he participated in the Session II Regional Hansang Forum as a panel. The CEO of KMK Global Sports Group Changgun Song participated as a forum panel and discussed on the network activating plans.

In addition, the next generation Hansang started 'Network Small Group Meeting' on 23, the day before the fist day of convention, and had various meetings such as ▲Annual Meeting ▲Continent Meeting ▲Topic Small Group Meeting ▲Plenary Session. They also showed leadership in the business meetings with domestic small and medium companies.

Hansang Business Summit, Leading Hansang Business Meeting, and Young Business Leader Plenary Meeting were proceeded on 26 and they showed their passion until the end. The closing ceremony, started at the noon, was closed by handing over the Hansang flag to the next city Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk province.

The chairman of Overseas Koreans Foundation Kyuhyung Jo said in his closing address "this year's convention was more substantial than any previous year's thanks to the passion of both Hasang and domestic businessmen. I firmly believe that the Korean businessmen's efforts for mutual development will lead to tangible results."

The next convention is to be held at HICO, Gyeongju city, Gyeongsangbuk province from 13 October 2015 to 15 October 2015.
