안길원 화백에 의해 새롭게 탄생된 자연

결국 모든 형태의 예술가들이 궁극적으로 구현하려고 하는 자신의 예술 세계는 자연의 모방에 있다. 무용가들은 몸으로 바람의 움직임을 표현하고, 음악가들은 4계절의 변화를 음표 위에 녹여낸다. 디자이너들은 자연에서 영감을 받아 옷을 만들고 자동차를 만들고, 시인들은 찰나의 자연 변화를 포착하여 영원한 텍스트로 기록한다. 특히 우리나라 미술계에서는 안길원 화백이 다년간 자연을 화두로 자신만의 작품 세계를 펼쳐왔다. 그의 작품을 들어다보고 있노라면 자연은 하나의 거대한 예술작품이자 곧 그의 작품이 또 하나의 완벽한 자연이다. 마치 ‘수천년의 역사 동안 예술가들은 왜 그토록 자연을 동경하여 왔는가’에 대한 이유에 대해 설명을 듣고 있는 듯하다. 

한국 미술계에 창조적 움직임을 만들어내다

안길원 화백은 서라벌예대를 졸업하고 프랑스 그랑쇼미에르 파리대학을 수학한 후 중국, 러시아 대학에서 미술공부를 이어왔으며, 미술학, 교육학, 신학, 상담학 박사학위를 비롯해 국내외 14개 자격증을 취득하였다. 대한민국을 대표하는 중견 화가인 그는 지금까지 약 25여 회의 개인전을 개최하며 자신의 예술 역량을 국내외에 알려왔다. 한편 총신US사관학교에서 이사와 교수를 역임한 안 화백은 이후 총신US신학대학교에서 미술, 교육 등을 지도하며 후진 양성에도 힘 쏟아 왔다. 그는 이러한 공로를 인정받아 대통령공로 표창을 비롯해 부산직할시장상, 강원도지사상, 이탈리아베니스비엔날레초대국사상, 영국버킹궁상, 독일세계회화제 대상, 국회의장상, 보사부장관상, 정무 1장관공로상, 설악비엔날레 초대작가상, 최고지도자상, 예술인의 효자상, 세계무술선수권대회 공로표창, 대한민국을 빛낸 자랑스러운 인물대상 등을 수여 받기도 했다. 현재는 한국미술협회, 부산미술협회, 현대한국화협회 일원회, 한국전업미술가협회의 회원으로, 국제자연의학 및 대체의학협의회의 고문으로 왕성한 행보를 이어오고 있으며, 세계문화재단 ‘청휘안길원미술연구소’를 직접 운영 중에 있기도 하다. 

그의 주요 대표작은 <군무>, <고적>, <광안대교>, <금추일폭,> <브라이스 캐년>, (토함산>, <노승과 산하>, <백두산> 등으로 거의 대부분의 작품이 자연을 이미지화하거나 형상화 한 작품들이다. 안 화백은 대부분 200호, 300호, 500호의 대작으로 작품들을 완성해 왔는데, 그 속에는 자연이라는 거대한 세계를 화폭에 담아내고자하는 작가의 끈질긴 열정이 고스란히 녹아들어 있다. “예술 행위의 최상의 목표는 인간주의의 실현에 있다고 봅니다. 저의 영원한 화두는 언제나 자연이었는데, 저는 사람들이 자연을 통해 인간의 본질은 무엇인가에 대한 답을 구하기를 기대하고 있습니다.” 

실험적 회화기법 연구와 독자적 재료 개발에 매진

안 화백은 극사실주의 기법의 풍경화와 인물화, 수묵기조의 동양화를 아우르며 자신만의 창조적인 예술세계를 구축해 왔다. 이미 오래전에 중견 작가의 반열로 올라 선 그이지만, 투철한 실험정신만은 여느 청년 작가의 패기와 열정에 뒤지지 않는다. 그는 자연이라는 단일 주제에 대해 몰입해가며 예술적 깊이를 더해 왔지만, 그 표현 방식은 언제나 과감한 변화를 즐기며 회화의 다양성을 확장해 갔다. “사랑하는 조국의 자연을 관찰하고 생체원료를 탐색하기 위해 지금까지 백두산, 금강산, 설악산, 지리산, 한라산 등 전국의 산하를 샅샅이 누볐죠. 세계 여러 곳을 여행하며 자연 속에서 보고 배운 것들이 고스란히 작품 세계에 녹아들었다고 생각합니다.” 안 화백은 그동안 천연재료를 물감으로 개발하여 작품에 활용하는데 오랜 시간 공을 들여왔다. 그는 수많은 시행착오 끝에 유리알의 원석, 흙과 돌, 나뭇잎, 꽃잎 등을 회화 재료로 활용하는데 성공했고, 그 재료를 바탕으로 자연 그대로의 신비로운 코발트색, 오묘한 에메랄드 보라색, 은은한 황금빛 등을 더욱 실감나게 구현할 수 있었다. 특히 원재료와 유리가루를 섞어 만든 물감은 특유의 반점이 드러나 작품의 입체감을 더 해주는 효과가 컸다는 평이다. 

앞으로도 안길원 화백의 눈을 통해 읽히고, 손을 통해 그려진 자연으로 말미암아 대한민국의 예술 분야가 비약적인 발전을 이루고, 그의 실험적인 회화기법 연구와 새로운 재료 개발의 의지가 더욱 역동적인 창조의 움직임을 만들어 내기를 기대해 본다.

  Eventually all types of artist of Art world which they try to implement is in the imitation of nature. Dancers represent the body movement with their bodies, and musicians produce a change of the four seasons over the notes. Designers are inspired by nature and make clothes and cars, and poets capture the natural variation of the moment and record it as an eternal text. In the art world, especially in Korea, painter Ahn kil-won has promoted the works of his own nature into this topic for many years.   Painter Ahn kil-won graduated from Seorabeol Arts University, studied in Geurangsyo Meereu Paris College, continued to study at the University of China, Russia, and obtained 14 domestic and international certifications including the doctorates of fine arts, education, theology, and counseling. Leading painter Ahn kil-won has introduced his artistic skills at home and abroad, holding 25 solo exhibitions so far. Painter Ahn was the former the director and professor in Chongsin US Theological Seminary, in which he has spent his career working on  his junior training, teaching art and education. He is credited with these, and was awarded the prizes including presidential citation, such as  Busan Mayor Prize, Gangwon Province Governor Prize, Italy Venice Biennale Prize, Beokinggung England, Germany World's Painting Grand Prize, the Chairman of the National Assembly Prize, Minister of Health and Social Prize, Achievement Award of the first state minister for political affairs, Sorak Biennale 

Invited Artist's Prize, Best Leadership Award, the devoted people Award, World Martial Arts Championships Merit Award, Grand Prize of people enhancing ROK. He is currently leading an active life as a member of Korea Art Association, Busan Art Association, Modern Korean Painting Association, South Korea full-time Artists Association, continuing as an advisor of international natural medicine and alternative medicine, and he is directly operating the World Cultural Foundation 'Cheonghwi Ahn kil-won Art Institute. His main masterpiece is <Gunmoo>, <Gojeok>, <Gwangan Bridge>, <Geum Chu Ilpok> <Bryce Canyon>, <Tohamsan>, <Old monk and Sanha>, <Paektu Mountain>, almost all of his works are inspired and shaped by nature. He completed the work of No. 200, 300, 500 masterworks, in which the tenacious passion of artist to put nature of the huge world on canvas is left untouched. "I think the best goal of the art action is the realization of Humanism. My eternal topic was always nature, and I am looking forward for people to get the answer to what is the essence of human nature through nature." 

Research of Experimental Painting Techniques and Strive for the Development of Proprietary Material 

  Painter Ahn has built an creative art world of his own, embracing hyperrealism technique of landscape and figure paintings, oriental paintings of Indian ink. Although already joined the ranks of leading artist a long time ago, but only thorough experimentation is second to none and not comparable to any other ambition and enthusiasm of young artists. Although adding an artistic depth, he has been absorbed in the single theme of nature, his representation has expanded the diversity of the painting, always enjoying a drastic change. He has crisscrossed so far the foot of a mountains such as Baekdu Mountain, Mt. Seoraksan, Jirisan, Halla Mountain in order to observe the nature of the "beloved fatherland" and explore the biological materials. 

As I have been traveling to many parts of the world, I have thought that the things I have seen and learned in nature have been one with nature." Meanwhile, he has een taking trouble for developing natural materials and taking advantage of it to work for a long time. Numerous trial and error at the end of He succeeded in using bead of stone, clay and stone, a leaf, petal, etc as painting materials after many trials and errors, on the bases of which he could able to implement the mysterious nature of the cobalt color intact and emerald subtle purple, soft golden etc as more realistic. Especially, paints made ??with glass powder and the ingredients, this unique spot of which is revealed, and more three-dimensional effect  has proven to be a more effective, which is the real positive reviews of the arts.
