There is a saying that eating right will keep you healthy. Like this much, it is very important for Koreans to eat a good meal. However, modern people are usually working couples, single residents and living loners and so, they often skip meals a lot. They do often eat out but worry about MSG and other chemical seasonings, after all they don¡¯t really like to eat out because of that reason. Therefore, there are many small companies to make side dishes and deliver to their customers and it is getting popular and a big market. However, most of them are using chemical seasonings not natural ingredients due to make more profit. Actually, CEO Park Hye-Gyeong of Myeongpoomchanbang Corporation was already famous for the mast of taste. Now, her idea of providing good and healthy side dishes using fresh ingredients, natural seasonings and talented cooking skills and she is getting plenty of customers¡¯ responses who are hardly eating meals every day. Also, she is aiming to make the food culture that we get so used to eat food with lots of seasonings, which is our prejudice. 



Doing working things with a thought that these are my family is eating

CEO Park Hye-Gyeong who had shown off her great cooking skills, and she started thinking of what to do with her husband who became retired voluntarily in 2007 after working for 22 years in the university. Eventually, she decided to specialize in cooking, which she is good at and feels confident. ¡°I was a housewife and the biggest happiness was when I saw my family eating my cooking gladly together. I thought cooking was better than things that I didn¡¯t know at all. If I make things for my family, the business would be successful. Currently, I feel even happier than I expected.¡± 

CEO Park is a kind of perfectionist, and she is making any side dishes until she wants. It could take 7 or 8 times. She doesn¡¯t even use soy sauce at any market we can get easily. She boils the broth with kelp, shitake and other 10 things. As for soy sauce for soup, she uses the brisket of Korean beef by simmering. After all, her food couldn¡¯t ever be better than other foods. About salt, her salt is a bit different. According to her, good salt make any food delicious food. Bay salt from Sinahn, Jeonnam is that she is using and she picked up every dust and impurities by hands and then washed them in water and get rid of bittern. And then for over 30 minutes, she roasted them to make well-being salt, which is 30% down the salinity. During the process, the original price must go up, but she couldn¡¯t do this business if she cares about the money on that. 

¡°I think that I have to feel really appreciated for the customers who buy my side dishes out of the trust and credit because they chose us among other same companies. For the reward for them, the only thing that I can do is that I just try to keep my fist spirit when I started his business and chase after the best quality. Myeongpoomchanbang that you can find more things in variety 

Myeongpoomchanbang is making and selling various menus like food boiled with soy sauce, mixed with some vegetables, stirred food, fresh vegetables with some simple seasonings, salad, pan cake, kimchi and soup including various side dishes, but it is possible to order in personal via the webpage to be customized. And, recently, they are showing foods and catering foods for housewarming party, birthday party, and traditional foods, opening party, important invitation food set and event foods set with wedding foods as well. It seems people love it and the number of orders is increasing gradually. Another Myeongpoomchanbang¡¯s philosophy is that they are only making 300 sets per day. 

If they make more they can make more money but, CEO Park thinks that it would be really hard to keep up with the great taste steadily. Like her ideas and thoughts, her business was accepted by HYUNDAE and LOTTE department stores that are really picky to get in the store there. So, we can find her brand there now. On the other hand, she is working with CEO Jo Sung-Woo of Dumb and Dumber, which is a delivery service company (early morning delivery service) for the customers who are not comfortable to select side dishes and pay for them every time. If people order premium side dishes on the website, then they get their great side dishes every one or two weeks. They get the side dishes differently every time and get even some salads, so it is quite popular to people who are living alone. 


 

Myeongpoomchanbang developed some frozen foods, which made it easier, looking for exclusive distributor and franchising 

It is so convenient and comfortable to order side-dishes in many and different ways, but it is not that good for people who just eat a couple of times per week at home. When they cannot finish eating them all, the food would go to a trash bin or stack up in the fridge. So, CEO Park thought of frozen foods. They are 17 kinds of soup such as Yookgyejang and 5 kinds of frozen foods. Especially, soups tend to drop the taste when they get frozen, so she studied for the solution for 7 years and finally found out. Making the basic broth using beef bones, the brisket, dried anchovy, kelp and discovered the timing and boiling time to put those ingredients to stabilize the freshness when it gets reheated after being frozen. Five frozen foods are homemade ddok galbi, meat flat ball cake, mini tofu steak, homemade cheese pork cutlet and homemade sausage. Come to taste other frozen foods, the taste is a bit hard to eat. The reason is why they are using potato powder. CEO Park is using 100% sticky rice powder for the better taste. Moreover, she is using the ratio of meat and greens like one to one. 

¡°I know some big food companies know the way to make food better, but they have to think of the original price. This is why they cannot produce in bulk. However, Myeongpoomchanbang doesn¡¯t think of it and we only think of the quality.¡± She was so proud of saying this and is looking for partners so as to let more people taste their food.
