Gyeongsangbuk province is to invite Japanese investments.

Kwanyong Kim, the governor of Gyeongsang province, is to invite Japanese investments for his first overseas activity after inauguration. Kim visited Nagoya and Tokyo from 28 to 30 last month and intensively worked for inviting combined carbon fiber and water related industry to the province. Participated in the group of visitors were Yoojin Nam, the mayor of Gumi city, and Young Park, the head of Kwater's Gumi Management team. They focused on inviting combined carbon fiber industry cluster to Gumi National 5 Industrial Complex. They also focused on water related business in order to develop Gyeongbuk as the center of the water industry on the occasion of 2015 Daegu Gyeongbuk World Water Forum. They visited National Composite Materials Research Center at Nagoya University which is one of the worlds's top enterprises in the chemical, composite materials, carbon fiber, special fiber and membrane fields, and built a cooperation system. They also layed the groundwork for attracting Japanese companies so that Gyeongbuk can develop as the center of composit materials such as carbon fiber. They asked them to participate in the Joint World Water Forum in Daegu city April next year as the partners of promoting water industry, and they discussed on building the East Sea desalination test bed project. They visited Ishikawa Prefecture on 30th and met Tanimoto Masanori, the governor of the prefecture, and discussed on expanding the exchange of administration and economy as well as industry-academic cooperation.

Also visited were the Composite Materials R&D Center at Kanazawa College of Engineering and they actualized the carbon reshaping cluster project cooperation system. They will be planing, at Doreisa's latest composite fiber factory, to increase the cooperation for carbon fiber and advanced IT materials industries, which will be invested to Gumi National 5 Industrial Complex,


Gyeongsangbuk province listened to the voice of young CEOs.

Gyeongsanguk province held a communication, sharing, and invigorating the spirit talk show with 250 young CEOs on 26 last month at Gumi Geumo Mountain Hotel in order to listen to the voice and the difficulties of 2030 generation. The talk show was hosted by the province, managed by Gyeongbuk Techno Park's Startup Assistance Center, and was participated by the governor, and Youngha Go, the chairman of Korea Angel Investment Association, and Yoonkyu Kim, a committee member of presidential young people committee, and Hyunduk Kim, the principal of Smart Venture Startup School.

Kim participated as a panel and encouraged the young generation who have difficulty in finding jobs and promised to create jobs for young people to solve the problem. Youngha Go, the CEO of Go Venture Forum, presented about how angel fund will be built and how startups can obtain the fund. Hyunduk Kim, the principal of Smart Venture Startup School, explained about the difference between Smart Venture Startup School and Young People Startup Military Academy, and also explained about startup supporting projects supported by Small and Medium Business Administration.

Yoonkyu Kim, a committee member of presidential young people committee, is a successful startup in Pohang city, Gyeongbuk, and introduced his story about how he established 'Chips & amp; skewered food specialty restaurant' and has 7 branches now. The young participants were all ears. The governor Kim encouraged challenging startup spirits and hoped that the young startups will be proud of what they are going to do and will energetically leap forward for their dream.
