합창 일본군위안부 평화나눔 콘서트 개최
여성가족부 김희정 장관은 일본군위안부 피해자 관련 학생 작품공모전을 추진해 왔으며, 지난달 8월 13일 서울시립광진청소년수련관 대극장에서 최종심사 겸 기념공연(‘합창’-일본군위안부 평화나눔 콘서트)을 개최했다. 이번 공모전은 우리나라의 미래 주역인 학생들이 일본군 위안부 피해자 문제에 대해 적극적인 관심을 갖고 전시 성폭력 문제 등 우리 역사에 대해 스스로 공부하고 인식할 수 있는 기회가 될 수 있도록 추진되었다.
음악·공연, 과제발표회(ppt), 미술 분야의 1차 심사를 거친 93개 작품(총 357개 작품 응모)에 대한 최종 심사는「‘합창’-일본군위안부 평화 나눔 콘서트」라는 형식으로 축하공연과 함께 개최되었다. 음악 분야에 ‘못 다 부른 아리랑’, ‘우리 함께 꿤꿔요’ 등 작품과미술 분야의 ‘나를 건드리지 마세요’, ‘포커스(F.O.C.U.S)’, ‘조각난 삶’ 등 작품들이 무대에 올려졌다.
또한 학생들이 ‘파괴된 역사(Destroyed history)’, ’목소리를 내어 준 그들을 위하여‘ 등 과제발표회(PPT) 분야 1차 심사 작품들을 발표했다. ‘합창’ 평화나눔 콘서트 사회는 방송인 김현철씨가 보며, 분야별 심사 중간마다 평소 위안부 피해자 문제에 관심을 지닌 다양한 예술가의 기념공연이 이어졌다. 김희정 여성가족부 장관은 “이번 공모 작품에는 우리 학생들이 ‘위안부’ 피해자 문제에 관심을 갖고 시간과 열정을 쏟으며 고민한 흔적이 고스란히 묻어 있었다.”며 “앞으로 위안부 피해자 관련 교재나 홍보자료를 만들어 가는 과정에서 이번 공모전에 출품한 학생들의 문제인식과 작품들을 밑거름으로 삼고, 향후 다른 위안부 피해국가의 학생들도 함께 참여할 수 있는 기회를 확대해 나가도록 하겠다.”라고 밝혔다.
아시아 24개국 청소년, 새로운 창조의 시대를 열다!
여성가족부 김희정 장관은 지난달 8월 7일부터 19일까지 아시아 지역 24개국 200여명의 청소년이 참여하는 ‘2014년 아시아 청소년 초청연수’를 개최했다. 이번 연수는 아시아 24개국* 청소년들이 ‘아시아 청소년! 새로운 창조의 시대를 열다’를 주제로 공동의 관심주제에 대해 함께 토론하며 아시아가 주도하는 새로운 창조 시대의 주인공으로 성장하고 상호 이해를 높일 수 있도록 운영되었다. 이번 연수 프로그램은 한국 현대문화의 주류인 한류를 통해 아시아의 청소년들이 한국을 이해하고, 직접 참여함으로써 친근감을 가질 수 있도록 한류 컨퍼런스, 전주·제주도·서울 지역 방문과 체험, 케이팝 여름 콘서트(K-POP Summer concert) 등으로 구성되었다. 특히, 한류 컨퍼런스에서 국경과 언어를 초월해 사랑받는 문화 콘텐츠에 대해 토론하고, 아시아 청소년들이 자국 내 불고 있는 한류 현황을 소개했다.
또한 전주와 제주도를 방문하여 우리 전통문화와 생활문화를 체험하고, 역사 유적지를 탐방함으로써 한국의 오랜 역사?문화에 대한 이해도 넓히고, 한국의 젊은이들과의 교류를 통해 친교의 시간도 가졌다. 케이팝 여름 콘서트는 한류의 중심 매개체인 케이팝(K-POP)을 중심으로 20여개국 참가자들이 자유로움과 상상력을 표출하는 축제로 구성되며, 10여일간 여러 국가 청소년들이 함께 준비하는 과정을 통해 서로 이해를 높이고 우호를 증진할 것으로 기대 하고 있다. 아시아청소년초청연수는 아시아 청소년 간 교류를 통해 인적 네트워크를 구축하며 아시아 공동체 기반을 구축하는 교두보로 2006년부터 매년 개최되고 있다.
김희정 여성가족부 장관은 “오늘날 국제사회에서 아시아의 중요성과 위상은 그 어느 때보다 높아지고 있으며, 그 중심에는 청소년 여러분들이 있다.”며 “앞으로 여러분이 차세대 리더로서 아시아를 넘어 세계평화와 번영을 위해 중추적 역할을 수행할 수 있기를 기대한다.”라고 밝혔다.
Chrus, the Peace Share Concert for enforced sex slaves
Heejeong Kim, the Minister of Gender Equality and Family has been pushing forward with student competition related to comfort women and held a commemorative performance & final screening (Chrus, the sharing peace concert) on 13 August at the Grand Theater of Seoul Municipal Gwangjin Youth Training Center. The purpose of this contest exhibit was for students, who are the leaders of our future, to study and realize the history of enforced sex slaves during the wartime. Among 357 entries, 93 works were selected through the first screening of music, performance, subject presentation(ppt) and art field, and the final screening was held in the form of Chrus, the Peace Share Concert for enforced sex slaves with congratulatory performances. 'Unfinished Arirang' and 'Let's dream together' in the music field, and 'Don't touch me', 'F.O.C.U.S', and 'Shattered Life' in the art field were staged. Students also presented 'Destroyed history' and 'For those who made the voice' which were the works of the first screening in the subject presentation(PPT) field. The broadcaster Hyunchul Kim hosted the Chrus, the Peace Share Concert and various artists, who were interested in comfort women problems, performed every now and then during the screening. Kim said "the submitted works this time showed the students' interest and passion in comfort women problems. I'll make this as a reference to reflect when making related textbooks or materials for public relations in the future. I'll also expand the opportunity for the foreign students whose countries have the same tragedy as ours to participate in the future."
Youths from 24 Asian countries open a new creative era.
Heejeong Kim, the Minister of Gender Equality and Family held 'Youth Camp for Asia's Future 2014' from 7 August to 19 August, participated by 200 youths from 24 Asian countries. The purpose of this workshop was for the students to discuss about the mutual interest to grow up as the leaders in an Asia-led new creative era, and to improve mutual understanding under the subject 'Asian Youths! Opening A New Creative Era'. The workshop was consisted of Korean Wave Conference, visiting & experiencing Geonju city, Jeju Island and Seoul, and K-POP Summer concert so that they can understand about Korea and feel intimate in participating themselves. Especially in the Korean Wave Conference, they discussed about the contents that can be loved over border and language barriers, and also Asian students introduced the current fever of their county's Korean Wave. They visited Geonju city and Jeju Island to experience its cultural heritage and life cultures, and by visiting historical places they expanded their understanding about history & culture, and through exchange with the Korean youths they shared social hours. Meanwhile, K-POP Summer Concert, with K-Pop, the medium of Korean Wave, as the center, was participated by students from 20 countries and they expressed their unconventionality and imaginations, and during the 10 days period, students promoted their friendship through the process of preparing together. Youth Camp for Asia's Future has been held every year since 2006 to build human networking through Asian youth exchange, and as a bridgehead to lay the foundation of Asian community. Kim said "the importance and the status of Asia has been increasing more than ever in today's international society, and young people are the center of it. I expect you, as the next generation leaders, to play a pivotal role for world peace and prosperity over Asia."
