President Park Geunhye received the current preparation status of Incheon Asian Games & Incheon Asian Para Games

President Park attended at the '2014 Incheon Asian Games & Incheon Asian Para Games Preparation Status Briefings' held at the Incheon Asian Games main stadium in Yeonhui-dong, Incheon on the 11th of last month. She was briefed on the preparation situations and the whole governmental supporting measures. She also inspected safety systems of the main stadium herself. The briefing was held, as it has only 70 days to go, in order to make sure that everything from stadium infrastructure, administration, immigration, accommodation, tourism to anti-terrorism and safety measures are supported by both the government and the nation for successfully holding the games. Park said that the two Games are not only for the citizens of Incheon but also for the whole nation and she would do her best to provide support. The government said that as both Games could enable Incheon to become an international city and to contribute to the Korean economy, they would provide services such as attracting tourists, making immigration proceedings simpler, supporting TF operations and bringing more spectators through their strategic marketings. They also mentioned about anti-terrorism, stadium facilities, food safety and the measures to support for the Korean teams to achieve the second place overall. President Park emphasized that both Games are state occasions and requested that the safety measures should be thoroughly practiced until the Games are finished. She also said that the athletic facilities should be used for Incheon citizens' cultural activities and sporting events after the Games. About 200 people participated in this briefing including Yoo Jungbok the Mayor of Incheon , Kim Youngsoo the chairman of the Incheon Asian Games, Kim Sungill the chairman of the Incheon Asian Para Games, Ryu Kilje the Minister of Unification , Kim Johng the Minister of Culture and Sports, the vice Minister of Security and Public Administration, government officials and relevant law makers, volunteers, supporters as well as people from various social classes.

President Park Geunhye visited Gimpo local food direct outlet

President Park visited the local food direct outlet in Gimpo and shared her opinions with both the producers and consumers on the distribution systems of agricultural products whether it has been improved. She checked on various issues such as reducing the distribution stages so that the producers earn more and the consumers buy 20% cheaper, operating a membership system between the producers and consumers, compound system of production, processing, selling and experience to boost up added value and profit, the real-name manufacturer system using QR code and implementing 3.0 (Park government's new paradigm: people's right to know, job creation and scientific administration) to raise the quality and safety of agricultural products. The officials of direct outlet, a lawmaker Yoon Myeonghee from the Agriculture, Food, Rural Affairs, Oceans & Fisheries Commitee, the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs were with the president on the visit. After her inauguration in 2013, president Park visited Nonghyup Hanaro Club as her first move for people's livelihood and showed her intention of improving the agricultural distribution system as a keystone of her administration. Recently, she also visited Samgyupsal (grilled thin pork belly) street in Seomoon Market in Cheongju as the move of her continuous effort for people's livelihood.
