내 몸을 해독하고 노화를 방지하는 수소수의 혁명 

호모헌드레드시대를 맞아 의료계에 혁명적인 역할 기대

이제 우리나라도 우수한 의료진, 첨단장비 등을 통해 질병을 치료함으로써 일찍 사망하는 사람이 줄어들고 평균 수명이 들어나 호모헌드레드 시대를 맞이하고 있다. 그러나 혈압이나 당뇨 같은 만성질환과 암·심장병·뇌졸중 등 심뇌혈관계 질환들은 계속 증가해서 국민건강에 위협을 주고 있다. 이러한 추세속에 세계 의학계는 각종 암은 물론 심근경색, 동맥경화, 뇌졸중, 고혈압, 당뇨병, 간염 등의 질병에 활성산소가 직·간접적으로 영향을 미친다는 논문을 발표하고 있다. 신체를 노화시키는 대표적인 요소인 활성산소는 몸속으로 들어간 산소가 산화과정에 이용되며, 여러 대사과정에서 생성되어 생체조직을 손상시키고 면역체계를 약화시킨다. 우리 몸속에서 끊임없이 생성되고 사라지기를 반복하는데 그 균형이 깨지면 노화를 촉진시키며 각종 질환의 원인이 되기도 한다. 그런데 수소가 유해독성 활성산소인 하이드록실래디칼을 제거해 암과 같은 각종 난치성질병에 탁월한 치료효과가 있다고 알려져 세간에 많은 주목을 받고 있다. 한국식용수소연구소 양은모 소장은 일본에서 우연히 수소의 효능을 체험한뒤 연구에 매진하여 ‘훈자수소수기’를 개발하여 많은 이들의 주목을 받고 있는 중이다. 파워코리아는 양은모 소장을 만나 그가 말하는 “100세시대의 수소수”이야기를 전해본다.   

노화의 원인 하이드록실래디칼을 효과적으로 제거하는 수소수

활성산소는 산소호흡을 통한 인체의 에너지대사작용에서 나오는 부산물이다. 하지만 문제는 대략 2~5% 정도가 발생되는 활성산소는 사람이 살아가는 동안은 숙명처럼 피할 수가 없다는 데 있다. 그러나 2007년 5월 의학전문지<Nature Medicine>에 수소가 만병의 근원인 유해 활성산소만을 선택적으로 제거한다는 것을 내용으로 한 일본의대 오오타 시게오 교수 연구팀의 연구논문이 발표된바 있다. 양은모 소장은 “프랑스 루르드 샘물 등 ‘세계 4대 기적의 물’근처에 장수촌이 형성되어 있다. 그동안 샘물에 특별한 성분이 포함되어 장수촌사람들의 수명에 영향을 주는 줄 알았는데 실제로는 다량의 수소를 포함한 수소수인 것으로 밝혀졌다”며 “오오타 시게오 교수팀이 그런 수소수의 효능을 밝혀낸 것이다. 그때부터 수소수라는 말을 쓰기 시작했다.”고 설명했다. 수소는 세포 내 에너지 대사를 촉진하고, 생명유지에 필요한 고에너지물질인 ATP(생체에너지)를 만들어 낸다. 또한 뛰어난 환원력으로 과잉 유해 활성산소의 폐해로부터 신체를 보호해 준다. 특히 골프와 같은 유산소 운동의 경우 무산소 운동에 비해 체내에 흡수되는 산소의 양이 많지만, 체내에 흡수된 산소의 일부가 산화해 DNA를 손상시키거나 세포에 손상을 주는 나쁜 활성산소로 변화하는 데, 이를 수소수가 줄여주는 역할을 한다고 양은모 소장은 설명했다. 이외에도 여러 연구결과에서 수소수는 항산화 작용을 통해 사람들의 면역력을 강화시키고 항체의 과잉생산을 억제할 뿐 만 아니라 노화, 기미 등의 완화에도 효과가 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다

아토피 치유부터 노화방지 까지 책임진다

질병은 세균이 있는 질환과 세균이 없는 질환으로 나뉜다. 감기와 같은 세균이 있는 질환은 약이나 주사로 치료하면 된다. 그러나 세균이 없는 질환의 경우 몸이 아프게 된 원인을 제거하고 몸 스스로 치료하도록 쉬도록 해야 한다. 양은모 소장은 “아토피도 세균이 없는 질환에 속한다. 아토피는 활성산소가 일으키는 것으로 알려져 있으므로, 건강한 물을 충분히 보충하는 등 생활습관을 바꿔서 독소를 배출하게 유도해야한다”고 강조했다. 훈자수소수기는 대한아토피협회로부터 추천을 받았다. 또한 “항암치료나 방사선 치료 시 많은 활성산소가 발생하는 데 이때 가장 많이 발생하는 독성활성산소가 바로 하이드록실래디칼이며 다른 항산화제로는 제거가 불가능 하다”라며 “이를 제거하기 위해서는 항산화효과가 있는 식품들의 섭취가 중요하고 수소가 매우 유용하다”라고 전했다. 뿐만 아니라 수소는 원소의 크기가 매우 작아 혈관문제로 생기는 뇌질환이나 심혈관질환 등에도 뛰어난 효과를 보이며 뇌경색, 뇌졸중, 협심증의 치료 등에 유용하게 쓰이고 있다. 

훈자수소수기로 세계인의 건강을 책임진다

 양은모 소장이 일본에서 수소수와 인연을 맺은 것도 그 자신이 몸이 아플 때 우연히 직접 수소수의 효능을 체험한 이후부터다. 그때부터 수소에 관한 근본적인 공부를 시작해 10권정도의 책을 내게 됐다. 일본에서는 이미 수소식품이라고 불리는 마이너스 수소이온이 산호칼슘에 흡장되어 누구나 쉽게 섭취할 수 있도록 개발돼 몇 년 전부터는 수소를 쉽게 섭취할 수 있는 식용 수소 건강식품을 판매하고 있다. 이러한 추세를 반영하여 우리나라에서도 식용수소 관련 제품들이 연이어 출시되고 있다. 현재 세계적으로 수소수에 관한 논문은 연간 약 50편정도가 발표된다. 이런 연구에 기준이 되는 용존수소량은 1000ppb가 기준이 된다. 하지만 대부분 우리나라에서 유통되는 수소수기의 용존수소량이 500ppb정도인데 반해 훈자수소수기의 용존수소량은 1200ppb에 이른다. 또한 훈자수소수기는 포터블형태이기 때문에 어디서나 설치가능하고 통속에 물을 받아 작동시키면, 즉시 수소기포가 발생하는 것을 확인할 수 있다. 양은모 소장은 “한국식용수소연구소에서 개발한 훈자수소기는 60여개회사가 있는 수소수기의 원조국가인 일본에서 1등을 유지하고 있다. 특히 제조업의 나라인 일본에서 이룬 쾌거다. 제품력과 가격경쟁력이 없으면 이루기 힘든 성과이다.”고 말했다. 훈자수소기는 일본뿐만 아니라 미국, 프랑스, 스페인 등에도 수출되어 세계인의 건강을 책임지는데 일조하고 있다. 양 소장은 “수소의 강점은 많다. 최근에는 염증을 억제하는 작용을 해 근육통에도 효과가 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. 산화된 혈액 속에 들어가 혈전을 환원시켜 면역기능 또한 대폭 향상시킨다. 수소를 이용해 인체 질병을 해결하고 건강을 유지할 수 있는 의료 단계까지 도달한 오늘날 수소가 의료계에 혁명적인 역할을 할 것으로 예상한다”라고 설명했다. 만물의 영장인 사람은 행복을 추구하면서 살아간다. 그리고 행복의 필수요건은 건강이다. 건강과 행복, 우리 삶의 전부라고 할 수 있다. 호모헌드레드시대를 맞이하여 몸에 대한 부작용이 없는 수소수가 새로운 대안으로 떠오르고 있다. 양은모 소장은 “향후 20~30년은 수소의 시대가 올 것이다. 평균수명이 늘어나고 빠르게 고령화 사회로 진입하는 한국에서 수소수만큼 좋은 건강식품이 없다”고 강조했다. 우리가 수소수를 주목해야 할 이유다.

With highly skilled doctors and state-of-the-art medical equipments, which enable human beings to live longer, we are now living in the age of namely Homo Hundred. Hydrogen water removes hydroxyl radical effectively

Active oxygen is a by-product which is produced from energy metabolism of the body through aerobic respiration. It is produced approximately 2~5% and nobody can avoid this. Ota Sigeo, a professor of Japanese Medical School released a research paper on the medical journal 'Nature Medicine' on May 2007 suggesting that hydrogen removes the root of all disease, the 'harmful active oxygen' selectively. Yang said "longevity-villages are located near 'the world's four miraculous water spots' such as the Lourdes spring water in France. People thought the water contains something which affects the lifespan of the people but in fact it was hydrogen water. And Ota Sigeo's team found the effects of hydrogen water." Hydrogen promotes energy metabolism in the cell and produces a high energy substance ATP(adenosin triphosphate) which is needed for maintaining a life. With its excellent reducing power, it protects the body from the damages of harmful active oxygen. Yang explained that aerobic exercise such as golf absorbs a lot of oxygen into the body but some of them oxidize and change into bad active oxygen which damages DNA and the cell, and hydrogen water functions to reduce this. Various researches show that the hydrogen water reinforces immunity through antioxidative activities, and it reduces over-proliferation of antibody, and it eases aging and freckles.

From treating atopy to preventing aging

There are two kinds of diseases. One with bacteria and one without. A bacterial disease like a cold can be treated by medicine or injection. However to treat non-bacterial diseases, we have to remove the cause of the pain and let the body heals itself. Yang emphasized "atopy is a non-bacterial disease and it is known to be caused by active oxygen, and can be cured by changing the habits of life such like drinking a lot of water so that the body can release toxic." Hunza Hydrogen Water Device was recommended by Korea Atopy Association. When doing cancer and x-ray treatments, a lot of hydroxyl radical is produced and it is difficult to remove it by other anti-oxidants.
