지도 위의 대화 공간 ‘MapChat’을 개발한 WINDORADO 역시 벤처의 가치를 충분히 표현할 줄 아는 기업으로 평가되고 있다. 

이들은 포스코ICT 젊고 유망한 인재들이 모여 지금과는 다른, 차별화 된, 특별한 프로그램을 개발하고자 신호탄을 쏘아올린 기업이다. 

기존의 것을 탈피하고, 고객의 니즈를 십분 반영해 꾸준히 관심을 끌 수 있는 서비스를 제공하는 기업, 바로 WINDORADO다.

이번에 개발한 MapChat의 경우 지도 위에서 채팅을 주고받을 수 있다는 것이다. 지도 위에서 채팅을 함으로써 서로의 위치를 공유할 수 있고, 대화 상대와 약속장소를 잡을 때 지도 위에 표시를 함으로써 약속장소 공유도 가능하다. 또한 기존의 카카오톡이나 다른 채팅 어플과 같이 사진, 동영상 등의 공유가 가능하고, 사진이나 동영상을 찍은 위치 역시 기록할 수 있기 때문에 히스토리 관리가 가능해졌다. 

2013년 10월 법인 설립을 시작으로 프로그램 개발에 심혈을 기울인 WINDORADO는 처음 ‘러브키퍼’라는 어플을 공개해 많은 사람들에게 관심을 받았으며, 이번에 개발한 MapChat의 경우 WINDORADO가 앞으로 나아갈 방향에 대한 이정표와 같은 프로그램이라고 조 대표는 전했다. 

기존의 트위터나 페이스북을 오랜 기간 분석하면서 이 소셜네트워크 서비스의 문제점을 파악, 개인의 의견보다는 오피니언 리더들 위주의 운영방식이라는 점, 두 소셜에서 제공하는 광고나 서비스가 개인 각각의 니즈를 충분히 채워주지 못한다는 점에 착안, 좀 더 개인적이고, 객관적인 서비스를 추구할 수 있는 어플을 개발해보자는 생각으로 이번 ‘MapChat’을 개발했다. 이를 위해 채팅 어플을 이용하는 고객들의 수요와 니즈를 파악했고, 가장 그들에게 필요한 서비스가 무엇인지에 대해 고민했다고 한다. 

또한 기존의 메신저를 넘어서기 위해서는 좀 더 차별화 된 서비스를 지향해야겠다는 생각으로 지도 위의 메신저를 발상하게 됐는데, 현재 이 어플은 베타테스트 상태로 한두달 내에 안드로이드 시장을 기반으로 소비자들에게 공급될 예정이다. 

기존의 소셜네트워크서비스에서 제공하는 모든 서비스를 자체 기술개발로 모두 보유하고 있는 WINDORADO는 이 메신저를 통해 좀 더 고객과 소통할 수 있는 기업으로 변화될 수 있도록 노력하겠다고 전한다. 또, 최초 일반인에게 공개, 반응을 확인한 뒤 위치서비스를 기반으로 한 기업용 메신저로 탈바꿈 시킬 것이라는 뜻을 전한 조창석 대표는 이번 ‘MapChat’을 시작으로 사업의 다각화를 추구해 빠르게 변하는 시대의 특성에 맞는 프로그램을 개발하겠다고 밝혔다. 

러브키퍼를 비롯해 이번에 개발된 ‘MapChat’, 그리고 앞으로 그들에 의해 완성될 또 다른 프로그램은 이미 소비자들에게 기대감을 주기에 충분하다. 새로움, 혁신, 만족, 편리함 등 지금 시대에 꼭 필요한, 앞으로 다가올 시대에서도 필수적 요소가 될 여러 가지 조건을 충족시키는 프로그램을 항상 고민하는 WINDORADO.

Each year, a lot of venture companies start up their business and most of them disappear sooner or later. And, it has been repeated over and over. However, there is a company like FACEBOOK or TWITTER that found out what people need and tried to deliver something more than the value of venture companies by innovative and new service system so that they could express the meaning of that kind of company to customers. They develop programs that people want and need and improve fitting the needs of them, constantly. If a company doesn’t know anything about the market situation, it will be failed but, if looking for something opposite from that side, the venture company might be bright enough as a blue ocean. As for ‘WINDORADO’ that created a chatting space on the map, ‘MapChat’, this company is also known that they know how to express the value of the venture company. They are from a POSCO ICT team and very young talented in technology. They wanted to start the business that never existed before and is special with a differentiated program. This is the company, ‘WINDORADO’ that is providing an attractive service by getting out of things in existence. As a case of ‘MapChat’ that they made this time, people can chat on the map. By chatting with each other, talkers can share where they are and can share the place when making an appointment for them. Also, they can share photos and videos with other chatting applications such as ‘kakaotalk’ or else. Even more, they can manage a history where they record the photos and videos as well. 

‘WINDORADO’ that started it since October, 2013 by establishing the cooperation and they have spent so much time and money on creating the program. In the beginning, they opened it as the name of application, ‘Love Keeper’ and took lots of attention. About ‘MapChat’, it will be a program as a milepost to show how to approach the industry for the company, ‘WINDORADO’, according to CEO Jo. By analyzing two famous SNS, TWITTER and FACEBOOK, he got an idea of that they couldn’t satisfy personal needs from advertisement and service. 

He wanted to develop an application to chase for more personalized and objective service so, he started to work on that and it resulted from ‘MapChat’. For that, he apprehended the customers’ demands and needs who are using that application and by that, he used to consider what they need in depth. Besides, to go beyond the existing messengers, he thought of the idea of orienting a differentiated service in more special ways. Currently, this application is supposed to be provided to people within one or two months as a beta-tested state in the android market. 

WINDORADO that is having every service providing a SNS service as their self technology development is going to try to change into a company to be able to communicate with the customers more and more by that messenger. And, CEO Charles Jo who said he will transform to a message for companies based with a location base service after opening it to the public for the first time and figuring out their reaction explained that the will create programs fitting to this era that is changing really quickly with a start of ‘MapChat’ and making it in every angle. As for ‘MapChat’ developed this time including ‘Love Keeper’ and other programs that will be completed by them in the future, they are enough to give some expectation to the customers, already. It is ‘WINDORADO’, which is a company pondering over programs can satisfy various conditions as a necessary factor in the coming-up era. 

It is already wondering whether what kind of service is leading Korean IT by the program with freshness they are going to develop. It is because WINDORADO’s creativity shown so far will be able to change this expectation into satisfaction, clearly.
