Artist¡¯s another world expressed by harmony with nature and empty bottles
Artist Noh, Eun-Gyeong
Pain of creation is the biggest assignment and fate for artists. Actually, enjoying the pain in every moment and sublimating into a piece of work is same as a bunch of pain. However, artist Noh, Eun-Gyeong who is enjoying and trying to put something bright and dark of this world is catching attention. She is anthropomorphizing empty bottles that are around us everywhere to make harmony with nature. It seems like minimizing a chaotic world in her works. So, we got into Noh, Eun-Gyeong¡¯s new world.
Modern people¡¯s all sorts of emotions like joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure expressed from the canvas
Artist Noh, Eun-Gyeong¡¯s works are telling a new world with putting modern people¡¯s agony and boredom. She anthropomorphizes empty bottles and it makes people who are looking at it have unlimited imagination. The world described inside of it as a whole new world doesn¡¯t exist in any other place and they are colors, figures and subject matters.
So, the artist¡¯s feelings are sitting in completely. Viewers can take a peek at the artist thoughts and emotions that she had back then. They are visible things that we can see normally on earth, but they seem to exist somewhere in the space. Like that imaginary expression and a power to let people imagine freely is a view point over artist Noh, Eun-Gyeong¡¯s works. Bottles that are a major object for her works are expressed like they are dancing and rings that locked the bottles feel like shakers of human begins who are kept in a chaotic world. Also, blood lines expressed with an urge of breaking away from the routine is rounded empty bottles tightly or a shape of clovers symbolizes ¡®Hope¡¯ so that it can bring out some happiness and joy to the audience.
Recently, she used to express people¡¯s hard figures in a cold and heavy touch by stones. Artist Noh, Eun-Gyeong explained, ¡°That kind of infinite imagination comes from nature. Every morning and evening, I take a walk with nature as a friend of mine and try to get inspiration throughout communication with nature.¡± Artist Noh, Eun-Gyeong who is viewing this modern society as utopia with the background of imagination that nature is human¡¯s teacher made people feel endless imagination out of her works. Artist Noh, Eun-Gyeong who is putting some kind of fantasy is working on an exhibition coming up in July with her new style. The title is ¡®The 1st Two Art Families Exhibition¡¯ and will be open at TOPO HOUSE in Insadong from June 23rd to 29th.
