휴대용 수소수생성기 ‘라온수’ 개발

(주)청우와 함께 물 부족 문제 해결에도 앞장

이미 수년 전부터, 기능성 물에 대한 관심이 컸던 선진국에선 수소수, 산소수 등의 제조수가 각광을 받았다. 하지만 국내에서는 제조수의 제조, 판매가 불가능하기 때문에 일부 계층의 사람들만이 외국에서 수입된 제조수를 마셨고, 이 물은 곧 건강수로 불리며 그들에겐 물 이상의 의미를 지니고 있다. 

이에 8년 전부터 제조수에 대한 연구를 시작한 뉴프론티어 김용오 대표는 우연한 기회로 유니세프의 단비프로젝트를 알게 된 뒤, 내가 물을 통해 도와줄 수 있는 방법을 생각하던 중 처음 시작한 것이 에어정수기다. 

에어정수기로 물 부족 문제 해결

“물 부족 국가를 가보니 지하수를 뚫어 물을 끌어올리는 것 까지는 성공하지만 차후 관리가 되지 않아 물에서 철 성분이 다량 검출되고, 주민들은 물을 하루 동안 자연정제, 즉 자연스럽게 불순물이 아래로 가라앉도록 하루정도 둔 뒤 마시는 것을 봤다. 이들에게 이런 고생을 덜어주고 깨끗한 물을 마실 수 있도록 해주고 싶다는 생각에 시작한 것이 에어정수기이다.”

에어정수기는 공기 중에 있는 수분으로 물을 생성시키는 정수기다. 수도관에 연결하지 않고, 전기만 연결해 공기 중의 수분과 냉각공법으로 깨끗하게 정수된 물을 마실 수 있도록 한 시스템인데, 실내제습은 물론 울트라 필터와 바이올렛을 통해 공기 중의 각종 병군을 제거, 살균한다. 또, 온 캡슐이 함유된 향균필터에 의해 생성되기 때문에 약 알칼리, 미네랄, 철분 등 이로운 영양소를 다량 함유한 물을 만들어 낸다. 

이는 지하수 고갈시기가 30년이 남은 한국은 물론, 2025년 약 27억명이 담수 부족에 직면, 전 세계 1/5의 국가가 물 부족 사태를 겪게 될 것이라는 UN의 보고를 보더라도 물 부족을 해결할 수 있는 가장 획기적인 해결책으로 볼 수 있다. 

기적의 물, 수소수 정수기 개발

이 후, 개발한 것이 바로 마법의 물로 불리는 수소수 정수기다. 요통, 당뇨병, 알레르기, 아토피, 천식, 암, B형간염, 피부병, 백혈병 등에 효과가 있다고 평가, 특히 만병의 근원인 활성산소를 제거하는 이 수소수 정수기를 개발한 김용오 대표. 그는 현대 과학과 의학이 검증한 마법의 물인 수소수에 대한 오랜연구를 통해 국내 최초로 수소발생 기능을 가진 기능성 필터를 특허 출원하며 제품을 시장에 선보였다. 이 제품은 무전원으로 3A 건전지를 사용해 각 번호에 맞는 필터가 내장돼 필터 교환주기가 되면 자동으로 LED로 표시를 해준다. 

기존의 알칼리 이온수기의 문제점으로 떠올랐던 의료용 물질 생성기라는 점과 장기 복용시 궤양 등 암 발생 등의 문제점에서 완전히 벗어나 프랑스 루르드 기적의 샘물을 비롯, 독일 노르데나우 지방의 물, 멕시코 트라코테의 물 등의 효과를 수소수 정수기를 통해 집이나 사무실에서 간편하게 느낄 수 있다고 전했다. 

더 나아가 그는 ‘휴대용수소수생성기’를 개발했는데, 이 제품은 휴대용 텀블러의 크기로 3분이면 수소음료를 완성할 수 있는 기능을 가지고 있다. 또한 1회 충전으로 50회 이상의 수소 생성이 가능하고, 작고 부드러운 수소입자 덕분에 30초 안에 온몸으로 빠르게 흡수되고 목 넘김이 부드럽다. 이 제품은 출시한지 얼마 되지 않아 그 성능과 고객의 뜨거운 반응 덕인지 중국에서는 복제품이 나오기 시작했고, 이에 김용오 대표는 휴대용수소수생성기의 2차 개발을 진행해 특허출헌과 더불어 기능 향상을 통한 ‘라온수’를 완성했다. 

‘라온수’의 경우 기존 수소수생성기에 잠금장치, 뚜껑 부러짐 방지 기능, 포터블 수소생성기 등이 추가 된 제품인데, 주목할 것이 바로 ‘포터블 수소생성기’다.

이 포터블 수소생성기는 라온수의 물통 외에도 일반 편의점이나 마트에서 쉽게 구입 가능한 생수통 입구와 정확히 맞도록 국제규격으로 제작해 일반 생수를 사서 포터블 수소생성기에 꽂으면 바로 3분 내 수소수를 만들 수 있도록 했다. 

소비자들이 좀 더 편리하게 수소수를 접할 수 있도록 하기 위함과 더 이상은 복제품이 나오지 않도록 획기적인 기술력을 바탕으로 이 제품을 개발했다는 김용오 대표는 현대사회에서 물은 누구나 누려야 할 자원이라고 밝히며, 좋은 물을 모든 사람들이 마실 수 있는 환경을 만들고 싶다고 밝혔다. 

현재 주식회사 청우(대표 안종근)에 총괄전무를 맡고 있는 김용오 대표는 청우의 안종근 대표와 함께 물과 관련된 인식과 물 부족 사태를 바꾸기 위한 활동에도 열정적이다. 청우와 뉴프론티어의 기술력을 하나로 모아 좋은 제품을 생산하고, 이를 통해 발생하는 수익을 공업용 에어정수기 등을 통해 여러 물 부족 국가에 지원하겠다는 뜻을 가지고 있다. 

판매 뿐 아니라 사회적 기업으로서의 역할에도 충실하겠다는 것인데, 이를 통해 건강한 물을 모두가 누릴 수 있는 공평한 사회를 만들고 싶다는 뜻을 밝혔다.

In developed countries which have the big interest in the functional water, produced water such as hydrogen water, oxygen water received the limelight already several years ago.
