Fulliche Kim love for the Art brut Style

Jean Dubuffet expressed his interest in children¡¯s drawings, graffiti on walls in the slum, uneducated people¡¯s experiences and their records in depth. While he was a nameless artist and also, he started painting late compared to other artists, he brought out a remarkable hot new artist with a pictorial style like children paint awkwardly as a play and, because of that, eventually, the view of that kind of outsiders of artists and paintings had become a critical issue in art. When looking Kim, Min-Kyung¡¯s works, we naturally think of Jean Dubuffet¡¯s works from the Art brut genre. It is different for a way to deal with the expression and subject but her works has some deficiency. It feels there is something missing, so it is called, <Yes, I am a fool>. 

In her paintings, things are full of maternal instinct expression and story. Absolutely, the object is a son as a child. The purpose of these paintings for her real son is a talk from mother for her child via her eyes and a messenger to show. The reason of faces and characters in the paintings are at mercy and lovely in expression is because of that. The behavior to talk to her son is described in many ways and looks very hearty. Sometimes, it looks too much love for her son as if you might feel embarrassed. 

She is making her art works by painting, attaching and scratching objects with brushes, hands and knives out of mother¡¯s heart, which is unstoppable in a combination. And, in there, there is a ladybug as a trademark, which she loves. Ladybugs are the flying icon of love and peace to her. At the same time, they are the mascot for her to put them down in canvas to give all the people happiness. (Ellipsis) Today, this artist is giving love as a gift with her infinite maternal instinct hotness. To her, ¡®Ladybug¡¯ is a symbolic icon like that much. Happiness that she wants to say in canvas is not an usual topic but, it is happiness from an idea that she thinks herself a fool. However, if you look at them very carefully, there are two ways to understand her works. One is a kind of expressed fairly tale. It is that big animals and their care of their babies as a lovely pattern and the other is a change with her imagination, which is her parodies of far modern and notable paintings like Edouard Manet¡¯s <l'Olympia> and Jan van Eyck¡¯s <The Arnolfini Marriage>. Throughout the change, Kim, Min-Kyung¡¯s paintings are like the drawings of the Art brut or graffiti. In another word, it seems there is a philosophical intention to try to twist toward parody in order to deliver something in a more meaningful method. (Ellipsis) Now, Kim, Min-Kyung¡¯s artworks have been formed with loyalty for the blessing of a natural maternal instinct in expression, colors and stories. Perhaps, she must have creativity for the true love of skill. Therefore, the amazing creativity in a pure shape, which love is giving and that is shining humbly and innocently. Especially, burning maternal love and passion are only from her, which is hard to find from other artists are flowing down flexibly and looking great. This god¡¯s blessing is the inner humane impulse¡¯s gift by art.

Like feeling pounding for hesitation to go out or not in mind, I would like to tuck emotions such happiness or depression in my mouth without any discrimination. And, like spewing these emotions I had in that way, I let them play on canvas. 

Others are dreaming of beautiful houses like a picture, but I dream of paintings like home and just brush them with holding the dream tightly. However, they say dream is not a thing they can grab it or not easily. I am a crazy artist, Ladybug, who is screaming out to have the happiness as I talk about it to death. That is me; ¡®Fulliche¡¯ is what I am.
