우리아이들을 지키는 마미아이

5월 가정의 달을 맞아 자녀들과 함께 봄나들이와 야외외출을 계획하 고 있는 가정이 늘고 있다. 하지만 사람이 많이 붐비는 대형마트, 놀이 공원등의 공공장소에서는 순간적인 부주위로 아이를 잃어버리기 쉽 다. 예상치 못하게 아이가 사라진다면 어떻게 행동해야 할까? 관리 사무소나 경찰에 신고 한다하여도 부모는 마냥 기다릴 수밖에 없다. 만약을 위해 준비한 휴대폰 위치추적을 요청할 수도 있지만 여러 가 지 절차를 거치기 때문에 시간이 걸리긴 마찬가지다. 일분일초의 긴 급한 상황에서 부모들은 발만 동동구를 수밖에 없다. 더구나 지적장 애인, 치매노인의 실종사례를 합치면 문제는 더욱 심각해진다. 이렇 게 계속 늘어만 가는 실종 사건을 방지하기위해 예공 김동연 회장은 세계 최초로 WiFi와 융복합기술을 통한 정밀 위치추적기인 스마트삐 삐 ‘마미아이(Mamieye)’를 출시했다. 김동연 회장은“가장 다급하고 위급한 순간, 우리아이들을 지키기 위해 마미아이를 개발했다“고 제 품기획의도를 밝혔다. 

엄마의 눈처럼 아이를 보호 

마미아이는 영어로는 엄마의 눈, 중국어로는 엄마의 마음을 뜻한다. 이러한 의미를 가지고 있는 마미아이는 진보된 융합 신기술을 기반으로 인지능력 이 부족한 어린아이, 치매, 독거노인, 반려동물 등 실종 예방과 고가자산 분 실 예방을 위한 위치정보 제공 서비스 단말기이다. 긴급시 연락을 할 방법 이 없거나 스스로 보호자의 기다림이 필요한 아동들은 즉시적이고 정확한 위치확인이 필요하다. 하지만 GPS 위치추적 서비스는 CDMAE(WCDMA) 통신망을 이용해 기존 통신사 사업자를 통해서만 서비스가 제공되고 있다. 또한 GPS 위치추적서비스는 위성궤도에서 지표면으로 수직각도에서 추적 하기 때문에 추적대상자가 건물안으로 들어올 경우 정확한 위치를 측정할 수 없다. 대형쇼핑몰,병원같은 경우에는 어디에 있는것만큼 몇층에 있느냐 도 중요하다. 

반면 마미아이의 경우 각 빌딩에 설치된 무선랜의 신호세기 정보 및 와이 파이 AP DB 정보를 이용하여 오차범위 5m내외의 정확도로 추적대상자의 위치가 확인되어 실내 대형 쇼핑몰, 지하철 역사, 병원내 등에서 일반 GPS 보다 더 정확한 위치추적이 가능하다. 또한 주변에 무선공유기와 마마아이 애플리케이션을 설치한 스마트폰 가입자만 있다면 이동통신사 가입이 따로 필요 없이 추적이 가능하다. 추적범위 역시 5~20m까지 좁힐 수 있으며, 정 밀한 위치정보를 1분 간격으로 실시간 전송함으로서 응급상황에 발 빠르게 대처할 수 있다 김 회장은 “올해 에버랜드,서울랜드와 같은 놀이공원과 이 마트,홈플러스와 같은 대형마트와같이 업무 협약을 진행하고 있다. 위와 같 은 곳은 자칫 순간의 부주위로 아이들을 잃어버리기 쉽다. 시급한 상황이지 만 기존의 GPS위치추적기로는 재빠른 추적이 어렵다. 하지만 대형마트 같 은곳은 WiFi기반이 잘 갖춰졌기 때문에 신속한 추적이 가능해진다. 마미아 이를 통해 부모들의 걱정이 줄어들길 기대한다”고 말했다, 

스마트시대에 최적합한 위치추적기 

시중에 나온 다른 위치추적기들은 대부분 중소형 크기에 전력 소모량도 많 고 복잡한 제품조작이 필요하다. 반면 마이아이는 번거롭게 매일 충전할 필 요 없이 한번충전으로 최대 2주까지 사용할 수 있다. 김동연 회장은 "실종된 유아를 찾기까지는 평균 3일이상의 시간이 요구 된다. 핸드폰 역시 위치추 적기가 있지만 배터리가 다될 경우 실종된 유아를 찾는데 어려움을 겪을 수 있다. 하지만 마미아이는 최대 2주까지 위치신호를 생성하기 때문에 실종자 를 찾는데 가장 적합하며”며 또한“지난 2012년 4월 발생한 오원춘 사건 때 사건현장에 경찰이 도착했지만 사건장소에 반응이 없자 경찰은 그냥 발길 을 돌렸다. 세밀한 위치추적이 가능했다면 피해가 방지 됐을 것"이라고 정확 한 위치추적기의 필요성을 강조했다. 

현재 급증하는 고령의 노인이나 치매환자는 지속적인 관찰이 필요하지만 그들을 지원할 인력과 재원이 부족하다. 김 회장은 "언론을 통해 접하는 독 거노인의 고독사 후 한 달, 1년 후에 발견되는 경우가 있다"며 "마미아이를 가지고 있는 독거노인의 경우 일정 기간 움직임이 없을 시 자체적으로 위험 신호를 감지해 정보를 전송할 수 있어 독거노인의 고독사를 미리 예방할 수 있다"며 마미아이의 또 다른 활용방법에 대해 설명했다. 원스톱 위치기반 솔 루션 제공 전문기업 예공은 크라우드펀딩 오퍼튠을 통해 운영자금을 조달했 다. 예공 또한 오퍼튠의 도움을 받아 올해를 성장기로 생각하고 있으며 제품 개발과 서비스 안정화를 통해 해외시장의 기반까지 마련한다는 전략을 진 행중에 있다. 앞으로 마미아이같은 융복합기술이 국내를 넘어 세계시장까지 진출하여 아동실종같은 불의의 사고를 미연에 방지해 나가길 기대한다. 

Protecting the children like mom’s eyes 

‘Mamieye’ means Mom’s eye in English and Mom’s heart in Chinese as it sounds. So, this item, ‘Mamieye’ has both meanings and has an advanced new convergence technology. After all, it is a kind of service mobile terminal informing the location to prevent for missing people who are lack of recognition ability such as children, the elderly who is alone, companion animals and losing the high valued property. As for kids, when they have no way at the emergency or need to wait for their guardians anyway, they need to be checked out where they are exactly. However, the GPS tracker for the location is providing the service by using CDMAE (WCDMA) network, which is using the existing telecom companies only. Also, the GPS tracker for the location cannot tell the accurate location when the person missing is in the building, because it can only track the location by the vertical angle from the ground out of the satellites. If they know where the missing person in the building, knowing which floor the person is same as important in the case of they are in the big shopping mall or big hospitals. 

In contrast, as for ‘Mamieye’, it is possible to track them more accurately where they are with an error range, about 5m as accuracy because it is using wireless reception power levels, Wi-Fi AP DB information build in the building, therefore, they can find the missing person more clearly and faster than other normal GPS tracker in the big shopping mall, subway station or hospital. Besides, it can narrow the tracking range from 5~20 meters and can cope with the urgent situation quickly as possible by sending the location information every one minute in real time. President Kim said, “This year, we are working on that with EVERLAND, SEOUL LAND like an amusement park and E-MART and HOMEPLUS like a big shopping mall to make an agreement. It is not easy to find the missing people with the existing trackers in these huge places. But, as the big building like a big shopping center has a good Wi-Fi system in organization, it is possible to track down. I expect all the parents would less worry about their kids with a ‘Mamieye’.” 

Location tracker optimized in this smart time 

When looking at other trackers for missing people at the market, they are small or medium in size, consuming lots of electricity and people have to know how to handle that. But, ‘Mamieye’ doesn’t need to recharged everyday and it can be used for 2 weeks with charging once. President Kim, Dong-Yeon explained, “Usually, it needs at least 3 days to find a missing kid at average. Mobile phones have a tracker as well but when it is discharged, people will not find the person. However, ‘Mamieye’ can be alive for 2 weeks at top and make the signal for the location, so it is very appropriate to find the missing people. He added, “When ‘Oh, Won-Joon Case’ happened in April 2012, the police arrived the spot but they went back since there was no signal at that spot. If it was possible to have a more accurate tracking, it might have been able to be protected.” So, he emphasized the necessity of a tracker of the location. 

President Kim talked about another manual of using ‘Mamieye’. “Sometimes, there are cases for people to find out old people who died a long time ago like they are found out dead after one year. If they have a ‘Mamieye’, when there is no period of time for the time being, it sends a signal of danger status by itself, then, people know they are dead so that we can prevent for old people’s lonely death in advance.” YEGONG is a solution company based with the one stop location and has been supported the money for running the company via Opportune, which is a crowd funding. YEGONG is actually thinking that this year is the phase of growing by help from ‘Opportune’ and has a strategy to set up the base for going to the international market. For that, we expect the convergence technology like ‘Mamieye’ is going to the overseas market so that we can prevent the unexpected accident like missing kids beforehand.
