Education centered with demand side, not supply side can solve the youth unemployment problem 

I would like to point out two things. Firstly, our universities are not satisfying the needs or wants of Korean companies enough. For example, most universities are teaching students about marketing education but as a matter of fact, companies don¡¯t need that many of marketing people. In contrast, sales, especially technology business¡¯s demand is quite high. 

As the change of the time, the demand of technology business is increasing but, unlikely the USA, we don¡¯t have any university to educate about business related. Like that, there is a huge gap between the university and the company. Secondly, generally, each university¡¯s job seeking support center doesn¡¯t really help students practically. Because of focusing on the standardized program, they don¡¯t provide much information in variety related to their desirable companies or compulsory duty or type of occupation. It is not only them. Rather, their attitude is very passive like waiting for companies ask for their needed people. 


Challenge technology business! 

The goal of opening the business or establishing the company is seeking for the profit and for that, they need salesmen so that they are expecting the sales. And they have to increase their profit by them as well. Therefore, every company puts the sales department in the front and the demand of sales is higher than other departments. Peter Ferdinand Drucker who is called a father of the business administration in the 20th century defined the meaning of ¡®innovation¡¯ is an activity to create a new value. Business is what the salesmen find out and supply for the solution for the customer needs or what they are afraid of. 

This is exactly why we call the sales is the innovation by the reason. The global company, IBM is established in 1911 and the biggest computer supplier world company to sell their hardware and software. Despite of that, IBM doesn¡¯t think that they are not a computer company anymore, because they changed to a service company to provide the total solution including knowledge, equipment, and human resources, which their clients need from an IT company. 

The customized service via a solution business can make the customer¡¯s satisfaction and also increase their added value and can let them deal with the customers¡¯ various needs rapidly. Because of that reason, the demand of professional salesmen for the solution business is more increasing. For that reality, I would like to recommend young people who don¡¯t want that sales job to do the technology business. 

Author Hong, Sung-Don talked about his goal, which is to make a systematic personal selling like universities in the states from now. Before that, he said he is preparing for publishing textbooks on the technology business and systematic online educational programs. 

¡°The technology business is innovation and that is a creativity economy.¡± He said strongly about that. He is now giving some dreams and hope via the free consulting for students who are looking for a job, since he wants to give a real help to solve the youth unemployment problem.
