캐뉼라 매선 기술로 승부하다

현대 필러 시술의 필수품인 캐뉼라는 끝이 둥글고 뭉툭하며 옆으로 구멍이 난 바늘 형태이다. 주로 지방 제거, 필러 충진 등의 용도로 쓰인다. 캐뉼라가 처음 시장에 선보였을 때는 혈관 손상 등 부작용을 줄일 수 있다는 이유만으로도 인기를 얻었는데, 보다 인체공학적으로 리디자인한 리젠바이오참의 새로운 '울트라모던(ULTRAMODERN) 알파 (캐뉼라 니들)’가 비상한 관심을 모으며 기존 캐뉼라 시장의 판도를 바꾸고 있다.

필러 주입 초기에는 일반 주사기용 주사침 형태의 침으로 시술하였다. 그러다 보니 자칫 혈관을 찌를 수도 있었고 필러가 혈액으로 유입되어 괴사와 같은 부작용을 야기할 수도 있었다. 관련 업계에 종사하다 2013년 10월 24일 리젠바이오참을 설립한 김경균 대표는 전문가들의 시술 과정을 자주 접해 왔다고 한다. “혈관과 조직 손상, 그리고 멍 자국이 많았다”는 김 대표는 이를 개선한 새로운 제품 개발에 착수했다. 삽입 입구 부분을 바늘침이 아닌 완만한 라운드각으로 개선된 것이 ‘울트라모던 알파 캐뉼라 니들’이다. 필러를 넣는 바늘인 캐뉼라 니들의 끝부위에는 구멍이 있어 주입한 필러가 나오도록 되어 있다. 김 대표는 이러한 캐뉼라의 라운드 부분도 시술자 입장에서는 두껍다고 생각하여, 피부에 삽입되는 캐뉼라 니들을 반으로 잘라 삽입은 잘 되고 구멍 크기는 줄어들도록 했다. 이렇게 되면 매선 시술시 피부에 펀칭을 하여 구멍을 낸 뒤 삽입하기만 하면 되어, 피하 출혈이나 혈관, 내부조직 손상을 줄이고 시술 후 멍, 출혈, 통증을 줄이는 효과가 있다고 한다. 김 대표는 다양한 형태의 캐뉼라를 개발했다. 2014년 최종 형태는 RG-C100(19G/100mm-0-2), RG-C80(19G/80mm-0-2) 2종이다. 얇고 긴 형태로서 잘 휘어지고 한 번의 펀칭으로 간단히 삽입할 수 있는 장점은 그대로이며, 삽입시의 상처나 멍도 일반 캐뉼라 주사바늘 침 형태보다 적게 남는다. 또한 캐뉼라 니들에 사용되는 매선에는 피부 속으로 들어가 리프팅이 잘 되도록 날카로운 돌기가 달린 가시실을 사용한다. 이 매선을 삽입하면 바늘은 나오고 몇 개월 후에 녹는 매선 실이 남아 있어 피부를 지탱하여 준다. 김 대표는 날카로운 실이 삽입될 때 통증을 느낀다는 사용자들의 경험을 토대로, 처음 캐뉼라가 들어가는 부분은 부드럽고, 삽입되는 나머지 절반 부분만 돌기 처리하여 시술받는 이들의 통증과 불편함이 80%가량 완화될 것이라 예상한다. 그래서 실 전체를 돌기 처리하던 타사들도 이제는 리젠바이오참의 개선된 디자인을 고려한다고 전한다. 또 이러한 캐뉼라 니들로 얼굴의 팔자주름, 처진 목 주위를 끌어올리는 시술에 많이 쓴다. 매선을 길게 하여 가슴과 엉덩이 등을 시술하기도 한다. 성형수술 혹은 시술에는 필러, 보톡스, 매선 리프팅이 서로 깊은 연관이 있는데, 리젠바이오참의 경우는 리프팅을 위한 캐뉼라 매선에 집중하고 있다. 캐뉼라 매선의 대중화와 발전은 눈에 보이는 얼굴 부위 시술의 비중도 높였다. 주사바늘 속에 얇은 와이어 침을 넣고, 똑같은 경사각을 맞추어 찔러 넣은 뒤 빼고, 그 속에 다시 매선을 넣는 3단계 시술을 오로지 손 감각에만 의존해 시술하던 불편함도 있었기 때문이다. 반면 리젠바이오참의 캐뉼라 매선은 일체형으로서 한번 펀칭 후 매선이 든 캐뉼라를 삽입하여 시술하는 간편한 방식이다. 김 대표는 덧붙인다. “캐뉼라 매선이 큰 인기를 얻어 등장한 지 5-6년 만에 자리 잡고, 식약처에 등록된 매선 제조업체가 19여개 정도나 된다. 그럼에도 우리 회사는 독창적이고 남보다 앞서가는 기술을 지녔다고 자부한다. 국제 중한의사 자격증을 보유했기에 그 원리를 잘 알고 있다. 주사바늘은 살을 찌르고 들어가니 출혈이 생기는데, 동양 의학의 침은 꽂았다 빼되 세포 사이로 혈관과 조직을 덜 다치게 하는 방식이다. 양방과 한방의 기술을 모두 응용한 셈이다. 사실 시술 장면을 보면 캐뉼라는 주사바늘보다 뻑뻑하게 들어가는 것처럼 보이지만 의외로 통증과 후유증은 바늘보다 적다” 김 대표는 새로운 캐뉼라를 개발하고 출원하는 단계에서 먼저 해외 시장의 문을 두드렸다. 그리고 “기존의 불편함을 개선했기에 반응은 열광적이며 해외 물량이 점점 늘고 있다. 해외에서의 좋은 반응에 힘입어 일반 매선 중 멍이 들지 않는 방식을 특허 신청해 두었고, 통증을 더 줄이는 방법을 연구하여 매선 시장에서 압도적인 기술력을 증명할 것”이라고 전했다.

The cannula has gained popularity simply because it can reduce ill effects such as blood vessel damage, and now, the ULTRAMODERN Alpha(cannula needle), which is ergonomically redesigned by Regen Bio Charm, is attracting huge attention, reversing the trend in the existing cannula market.

At the early developmental stages of the filler injection therapy, needles that are shaped like a syringe needle were used, which could damage blood vessels or cause necrosis from fillers flowing into blood. Rep. Kim Kyung-kyun, who founded Regen Bio Charm, Inc. on Dec. 24, 2013 after having worked in the related business, had seen much of the surgical procedure by experts. "I could see a lot of tissue damage and bruises in them." says Rep. Kim. He started to develop a new product to resolve these problems. The ULTRAMODERN Alpha, the insertion part of which is gently rounded, is the result of this effort. The cannula needle through which fillers are injected has holes at the tip so that the injected fillers flow out back through them. Thinking even such a round part of the cannula is too thick for operators, however, Rep. Kim cut the needle in half, in order to make it easier for the cannula to get inserted into the skin. With the improvement, they can insert the cannula more easily into the skin simply by punching it, which reduces hypodermal bleeding and damage to internal tissues during the therapy. It can also reduce bruises, bleeding, and pain after the surgery. He developed a variety of cannulas. The final model of the year 2014 has two types: RG-C100(19G/100mm-0-2) and RG-C80(19G/80mm-0-2). They all have the good qualities of being thin and flexible, and enabling insertion at one punching. In addition, they leave less cuts or bruises than syringe needles. The thread used for cannula needles is so sharply promontoried that it can lift well under the skin. Melted away in a few months, it can hold the skin tight. Later, based on the experiences of users feeling pain when the sharp thread is inserted, Rep. Kim put promontories only on the half part of it, which he anticipates will ease the pain and inconvenience by 80%. He suggested that is why other manufacturers of cannulas take into consideration the improved design by Regen Bio Charm. These cannula needles are used very often to remove slanted wrinkles on the face and baggy skin around the neck. They can also be used to operate on the chest or rear end, when made longer than the standard types. In case of plastic surgery, filler, Botox and thread implantation lifting are closely interconnected, and Regen Bio Charm concentrates, among others, on cannula thread implantation. Recently, more people receive operations on the face due to the development and popularization of cannula thread implantation therapy. Before its advent, however, they had the inconvenience of performing the three stages of operation only by touch: putting a thin wire needle into a syringe needle, inserting and then withdrawing the syringe needle at the same angle of the previous insertion, and running an implantation thread through the hole previously made. Regen Bio Charm's cannulas, by contrast, can be simply operated only by inserting them with an implantation thread inside after a punching. "Some 19 cannula manufacturers registered at the Korea Food & Drug Administration, as our cannulas took hold in the market in 5-6 years. But I am confident Regen Bio Charm has original and advancing technical skills in the industry. I know its principles too well because I myself has an international certificate of Chinese oriental medicine.", added Rep. Kim, "Syringe needles cause bleeding as it penetrate into the flesh, but in oriental acupuncture, needles penetrate between cells, damaging less of blood vessels and tissues, which comes to combine both Eastern and Western medicines. In fact, cannulas seem to penetrates stiffer into the skin than syringe needles, but contrary to common beliefs, they cause less pain and aftereffect than needles." He tapped into overseas markets, while developing new cannulas and applying for a patent for them. "Responses from consumers are enthusiastic and orders from abroad are increasing as we removed the existing inconveniences. I've already applied for a patent for the therapy which causes no bruise. I am going to show our overwhelming technical skill to the market by researching harder on how to reduce more of the pain." he concluded.
