Safety accidents in the house have been increasing each year. Especially, people from under age 10 and to age 60 who are not that sensible for everything and lack of sensibility are exposed to any danger, therefore, their protectors need more cautious for them. According to the survey by Korea Consumers Center, the safety accidents in the domestic have been rising up constantly since 2010. For this year, until the end of last August, the number of registration reached at 27,727 and it was 21.5% higher compared to last year. Experts have recommended people to use more appropriate safety products, and by that, the market of the safety items has kept being bigger steadily. Power Korea met CEO Kim, Ki-Seuk of Living Paradise Co., Ltd. (HYPERLINK "http://www.livingparadise.net" www.livingparadise.net) who has been an exclusive position of Korean safety products for a long time. 


Another brand, <aguard> which is a professional brand for the babies, was made by CEO Kim, Ki-Seuk and he started doing his own business with ¡®GANA Design¡¯ for the first time in 1993. However, he had desired for doing the manufacturing industry and established ¡®Living Paradise¡¯ in 1998 when he started into producing the products directly. In the beginning, he met many various people by himself for the marketing and analyzed lots of samples over the world and then, he pondered over finding something new in the world. 

¡°It was good because the industry of the safety products on living didn¡¯t set up properly yet and most likely, I felt good to help people and think of the future of the company at the same time.¡± CEO Kim calls every item he made as a ¡®child¡¯. It means he loves each item like his kid and he spent so much time for making it with patience like having a baby. With that mind, it has been 15 years so far and there are over 1,000 products he created. Licenses and the rights of design are more than 700 and it is the biggest number in the world as the one category. Of course, there was a worry about pioneering the new market in the start but he had good ones and customers needed them as well. After all, without any promotion process, plenty of business marketers suggested him for a deal. Sooner or later, his company could settle down in the domestic line being a center of huge supermarkets and dominate the stationary area and traditional market too. With a great quality of products and variety, his company made a great result that they covered over 70% in the national industry, which is remarkable. In particular, providing over one hundred number of item for SHINSEGYE, E-MART AND HOMEPLUS as a PB is outstanding among other companies. From three years ago, his company is meeting their customers by <aguard>, which is a global professional brand for the babe safety products. 

¡°<aguard> is a pure Korean brand, which means a safe fence to protect the children. It is true to have a high discomfort to see over 90% of products made in China at the market and they are usually about our life style. Our aguard is only made in Korea from the start to the end and we are doing the maintenance very carefully.¡± 

Most of all, his company is very picky of the materials for the babies and if there is something they couldn¡¯t find out in terms of unknown safety, they take the requirement right away. The most favorable items by the customers are, no matter what, the protection of the corner and the prevention for being stuck with a hand. It was very popular in the kindergarten but, nowadays, it is also popular at home as much as people know about the safety issue. CEO Kim is trying to make the company have many angles by starting the healthcare business. So, this time, a Movable Shampooing system that he kicked off, <sione~> made by Living Paradise Company is the first product for the safety of the disabled, the patients and the old people. Without the in/out water system, anybody can do shampooing for someone anywhere since it moves freely. Not only having sliding seat and foot stand, but also it is handling by the one-touch button. So, it is very convenient in many ways. 

Moreover, if a separate shampooing stand is connected, it is possible to do the shampoo in bed. Then, it will be great news for old people and sick people who are not able to move properly. Afterwards, it is going to expect the demand of hospitals, nursing facilities, beauty shops etc and the hope of exporting is quite promising, also.

By the way, CEO Kim said the half of 2014 will be a period of maintaining. And, he will do away with inventory that has been stored for 20 years and is building up for the ERP system. And, from the second half of this year, the company will set up for the agency system seriously as planned.
