대구시, 제2회 대한민국 지방자치박람회 유치!

안전행정부 주관으로 전국적인 지방자치 성과 공유와 화합?소통의 장인 ‘제2회 대한민국 지방자치박람회 개최지역 공모’에서 대구시가 최종 선정되어 10월 29일부터 11월 1일까지 4일간 대구EXCO에서 박람회가 열린다.

대구시는 지난 달 8일 안전행정부 주관으로 17개 시?도를 대상으로 실시한 ‘2014 제2회 대한민국 지방자치박람회 개최지역 공모’에서 박람회 개최지역으로 최종 선정되었다고 밝혔다. 이번 박람회는 오는 10월 29일(수) 제2회 ?지방자치의 날?을 맞아 지방자치에 대한 국민적 관심 제고 및 지방자치의 성과를 공유할 수 있는 화합과 소통의 장으로 마련된다.

특히, 이번 행사에서는 민선5기 추진성과를 평가하고 민선6기를 맞이하여 정부의 지방자치발전 정책의 추진상황을 심층 분석함과 동시에 발전전략을 모색한다.

박람회 전시관은 크게 지방자치의 발자취를 돌아보고 발전전략을 제시하는 ?지방자치 정책홍보관?, 각 자치단체별 주요 성과와 미래 비전을 소개하는 ?시?도 홍보관?, 주민자치위원회 및 자치센터 우수 사례를 소개하는 ?주민자치센터 사례관?, 지역의 우수특산품과 향토명품을 소개하고 판매하는 ?향토자원 전시관? 등으로 구성된다. 또한, 제2회 지방자치의 날 기념식과 정책세미나가 개최된다. 이 밖에도 박람회 기간 중에 ?지방자치왕 도전골든벨?, ?우리마을 사진전?, ?내고장 맛자랑 대회?, ?자전거 국토순례 대행진?등 전 국민이 참여할 수 있는 다양한 프로그램들이 운영된다. 대구시 여희광 행정부시장은 “제1회 대한민국 지방자치박람회가 지난해 서울에서 개최된 후 지방으로는 대구에서 처음 개최되는 만큼, 2015년 제7차 세계물포럼 개최 도시인 대구의 이미지를 국내외에 알리는 계기를 마련하였다.”라며 “260만 시민의 역량을 결집하여 성공적인 박람회 개최를 통해 중앙과 지방이 상생 협력하고, 국민들이 지방자치의 중요성과 필요성을 직접 체감할 수 있는 화합의 장이 되도록 최선을 다해 준비하겠다.”라고 밝혔다.

국립대구과학관, 대구광역시교육청과 업무협약 체결

국립대구과학관 강신원 관장과 대구광역시교육청 우동기 교육감은 지난달 10일 시교육청 상황실에서 대구시 과학문화 확산 및 창의적 과학기술 인재 육성을 위한 업무 협약을 체결했다. 양 기관은 이번 업무 협약을 통해 △과학문화 확산을 위한 행사 개최·운영 △전시 및 행사의 협력 △학교 교육과 학교 밖 교육을 연계하는 과학교육 프로그램 개발·운영 △과학교육 및 과학문화 분야의 정보 교류 등을 상호 협력해 창조경제 시대에 필요한 창의적 인재 육성과 과학문화 확산에 기여키로 했다.

국립대구과학관은 앞으로 대구지역 과학행사에 적극 참여하는 한편, 과학교사들을 위한 과학관 탐방 및 연수 프로그램을 운영하고, 대구지역 학생들의 과학관 방문 및 체험학습이 이뤄질 수 있도록 과학관 주요 행사에 초청하는 등 실질적인 협력활동을 이어 나갈 예정이다.

국립대구과학관 강신원 관장은 “창조경제 시대에는 다양한 상상력과 아이디어를 가진 인재를 육성하는 것이 무엇보다 중요하다.”라며 “대구과학관은 이번 대구시교육청과의 업무협약을 통해 다양한 상상력과 창의적 아이디어가 발현될 수 있는 창조경제의 학습장으로 발돋움할 것이다.”라고 말했다.

Daegu city attracts the 2nd Korea local autonomy exposition!

At public subscription managed by the Ministry of Security and Public Administration for the 2^nd Korea local autonomy exposition, which is a scene for sharing the nationwide local autonomy results with harmony and communication, Daegu city was finally selected to hold an exposition at Daegu EXCO for 4 days from Oct 29 through Nov 1. Daegu city announced that the city had been finally selected for holding 2014 exposition at the public subscription executed by management of the Ministry on the subject of 17 cities and provinces on 8th last month. This expo is going to act as a scene for harmony and communication that enhances the people’s interest in the local autonomy and shares its results on upcoming Oct 29 (Wed), the <Second Day of Local Autonomy>.Especially, at this event, they are going to evaluate on the propulsion results of the 5^th popular election, analyze deeply the progress of the government’s policy of local autonomy development turning the 6^th and seek for developmental strategy. The exhibition hall will largely consist of <Local autonomy policy publicity hall> to look back on its trace and present developmental strategy, <City and Province publicity hall> to introduce major performances and future visions for each local government, <Cases of resident autonomy hall> to introduce excellent cases of residents autonomy committee and center, and <Hometown resources hall> to promote and sell regional excellent products and native fine articles. Besides, it will hold the ceremony of the 2^nd Day of Local Autonomy and policy seminars. Still other programs to be run during the period of exposition include <Challenge Golden Bell for local autonomy> <Our village photo exhibition> <Native local foods contest> <National pilgrimage on a bike> for any person of the country to participate in. Yeo Hee-gwang, vice mayor of Daegu for administration, clarified, “After the first local autonomy expo held in Seoul last year, we are the first city as the province to hold the expo promoting the image of Daegu, which is to hold the world’s 7^th water forum in 2015, both domestically and internationally. Gathering together 2.6 million citizens’ capabilities, we will do our best in preparing the scene of harmony so that the people may personally feel the importance of and necessity for local autonomy.”                  

Daegu National Science Museum signs an MOU

with Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education. 

Kang Shin-won, president of Daegu National Science Museum, and Woo Dong-gi, superintendent at Daegu Education Office on 10^th last month signed an MOU on spreading science and culture in Daegu and rearing creative persons in science and technology at the situation room of the Office. Both institutions agreed to mutually cooperate in (1) events for the spread of science and culture (2) cooperation in exhibitions and events (3) development and operation of science and culture programs in connection between inside and outside of school, and (4) information exchange in the fields of science education and culture to contribute to rearing creative persons needed for the age of creative economy and expanding science and culture. Daegu National Science Museum is planning to positively participate in the science events in Daegu region, operate programs of science museum visits and trainings for science teachers, and invite students in Daegu region to the museum and its major events for work study, carrying on with practical activities of cooperation. Gang Shin-won, director Daegu National Science Museum, said “It matters most in the age of creative economy to rear able persons of diverse imagination and ideas. Our science museum will emerge into a learning site for creative economy to bring forth diverse imagination and creative ideas through this agreement with Daegu Education Office.”
