Professor Park, Il-Bong who is a pioneer of new concept of seeking 

for ¡®the right body¡¯ F.I.T fitness center 

 

Everyone wants to be healthy in the body. The reason is why we can be happy when we are healthy. Like this, we know that so clearly but modern people have everyday¡¯s busy life. So, they are trying to keep in health by going to fitness center. Unfortunately, in fact, there are many trainers who don¡¯t have enough knowledge and it is getting lack of experts in reality. By that, Power Korea met Professor Park, Il-Bong who is a CEO of the F.I.T fitness center by suggesting new healthy paradigm with some global fitness programs made by his own uniqueness in February. We heard his story about what the healthy life is. 


The F.I.T fitness center is getting loved nowadays. Would you introduce about the fitness center? 

The F.I.T fitness center is a personal training center that makes customers¡¯ healthy beauty they want with developing their right posture and physical ability. Every staff has every license of Korea¡¯s sports for all and KFTA such as NASM(National Academy of Sports Medicine)ÀÇ CPT(Certificate of Personal Trainer), CES(Certificate of Exercise Specialist), PES(Professional of Educational Sportsmen). As we have that kind of trainers with lots of knowledge and professional system, so this F.I.T fitness center might be popular in this PT (Personal Training) industry and it will be a hot potato. 


What is the difference between Korean training way and oversea countries ones?

Above the all, it seems that people have different perception of health training between them. Most of Korean people think they are just looking for losing weight in a short period of time and building up the great body as soon as possible and then, they want to see off their successful stories as a promotion, however, in other countries, they are only focusing on the training program. They feel it is not a true beauty because the body function would be going down unless that is perfect. So, their training skill is concentrating on a Functional Training for keeping the right position that is a start of improving the function. 

  

As you know, many people are trying to want their bodies to look great but they always fail to it. What do you think of the reason?

Usually, people start the work-out because they didn¡¯t really look after their bodies well. When they start it, they normally have a big goal in the beginning but keeping it is not ongoing and this is a problem. It is like we have to learn something from teachers, and as for exercise should be taught by someone too, then, it will more successful without failure and even quickly. 

Recently, according to statistical date from a University, people who took some programs like workout effect, diet effect and rehab effect with a personal trainer are all higher than people do alone. It is more than 6 to 10 times better than that. This is why we can make right body when we meet right program and the right trainer who knows things correctly. 


What is your unique and differentiated education method or program? And what are your other activities? 

Currently, I am responsible for the KFTA (Korea Functional Training Academy) as an executive secretary general. This organization has produced thousands of trainers for years, so it is an optimized education system here. That is why we have lots of programs to teach them. My philosophy is trainers who give up for learning more is trainers who don¡¯t want to be a trainer in the end. In other words, my way is from perfect materials and knowledge from me. All the learning and skills that I figured out is my weapon, so to speak. So, I think my rich and wide knowledge of workout must be the difference compared to other same category. 


I know you have lots of request for the Special lecture. What is about mostly? 

Most of my Special lectures are about the focus of training for the functional improvement and rehab training of athletes. Since I studied for the rehab mentoring program and got the license of that as well at the Athletes Performance Training Center, which is called the best American sportsmen training center, I got requested for training for their team members from plenty of sports clubs. So, last year, I did make some programs for FC Seoul Football team, GS Caltex valley ball team and KIA Tigers baseball team such as professional sports teams and they were for their coaching staff, athletes and their trainers. Also, I am doing lecturing for MBTI. I hope to help the society even though it is not huge. 


What is your future plan?

In this year, 2014, people can see more F.I.T fitness center not just in Busan. And, I will focus on hiring professionals for the personal training at the F.I.T fitness center based on that we have succeeded by the third center for last 2 years and also, they have to understand the concept as well. And later, I would like to make the stature of F.I.T in the world higher. (Laugh)
