There are so many phrases to refer to him, such as the first T.O.T in the twenties in Korea, the youngest branch chairman of MDRT Korea Organization, the youngest one¡¯s achievement of Lions Club from ING, etc. Each of these moments was joy and happiness but his most favorite phrase is that he is a man of touching the heart of customers with sincerity. If he had done sales with the head, not with the heart, he would have had as many worries as the time of refusals he received. Through the refusals over ten thousand good times, however, he found that there are many lives he was able to save. Because of the mission toward them, Choi Byoung-jun, a young executive lion of ING Life, is simply enjoying refusals today with a happy mind.
Should put the value of life before the refusal from a customer
Choi Byoung-jun of ING Life, who is creating a new history in domestic life insurance industry, joined the company in 2009 at the age of 25 as the youngest FC. Then, he started piling up results of performance one after another to disturb the whole insurance industry. Especially, ¡®100% maintenance¡¯ is the record his is most proud of, which cannot be achieved solely by good sales. It is only possible when the three things - product quality, customer satisfaction and sales person¡¯s continued management ? are combined together. Probably it was made possible because his heart of doing his best even with a single customer was felt by the customer. Looking back on the early days of joining, E, Lion Choi said, ¡°Even after joining ING Life by the connection with SM Lee Haeng-don, I made no performance at all for six months. This caused more worries coupled with trials and errors putting me thinking about quitting several times. However, the presence of SM Lee Hange-don, who had been waiting with confidence in me, made me work myself up to engage affirmatively and positively in my duty.¡± He then emphasized, ¡°The new FC¡¯s now must be wandering around with conflict and worry over refusals they receive just like me then. Believing that ¡°Passion begets a miracle and has the power of changing one¡¯s destiny,¡± E. Lion Choi felt sure that he wouldn¡¯t hesitate before any kind of difficulty. Since he knew that there would be a time later when they are in desperate need for insurance, he was not afraid of their refusal even though he had received over ten thousand times of refusal from customers. He has already been aware from experience that everything will return with gratitude.
This year¡¯s team goal for 15 MDRT members
Currently, E. Lion Choi Byoung-jun is heading the strongest group in ING Life. Of 33 FC¡¯s, most are persons less than one year in service to the company. It is the time when they must be in worries and conflicts, or filled with expectations for a new dream, just like he was there. E. Lion Choi clarified that he wanted to lead them along in the right direction as their true mentor. He said, ¡°I started recruiting in July last year and this team is well reputed for a significant growth in a short period, which makes me both nervous and excited. I think it worked most that the FC¡¯s have followed me well in close friendship. Currently, our team has three MDRT members in it but I am planning to make it 15 of MDRT members for this year. Besides, for the personnel in the strongest group itself, I am expecting to make it 150 persons one year later. It is a possible goal because we have the best teamwork, process of ING Group, passion and efforts.¡± For E. Lion Choi, over 80% of customers are those of his own creating. Likewise, there are many of FC¡¯s in this team who he met as a created customer, which may mean karma, exactly.

Lion Choi said that it is the hard experience and frustration that has enabled him to harvest today¡¯s sweet fruit. ¡°He said, ¡°The moment you surmount the limitations with a mind to enjoy even difficulty and pain, you can see success right before your eyes.¡±
